When the camera includes people's faces and more of the 'room' then it increases the possibility of problems with the shot. After all, you don't have to worry about a cock or a cunt being 'on,' but you might find your favorite actor is checking his watch if you could see the entire set through the lens. You might find that your favorite actress is glaring at the PA. You might see, as I recently did in a Vivid movie, people wandering around in the background, for no apparent reason. Basically, I think that the number of people performing in front of and behind the camera in porn would be seriously reduced if not for the prevalence of the close-up. Of course, having said that, it amazes me the amount of crap that gets left in many movies, so what do I know? [Link] |
