Hi, newbie at this game. Friend of mine suggested Action-DVD. He has used then no problemo..cheap n ez to use. So thought i would give it a whirl. So ordered some DVDs and waited and waited and waited. Still waiting now...a month after they have supposedly been posted.

Apparently International delivery is not guaranteed! wtf??

Yes it does say that on the website T and Cs but seems kinda bad to have to pay for something only for it not to appear.Sure there are dody people who wud lie about stuff not arriving, but that is a risk in all business.

I am sooo not impressed with Action-DVD customer sevice. I have emailed them several times to tell them about this problem. Had only once response to my many emails..and that was just to tell me to track it with UPS!! Doh!! I did that first..grrrr

So i am not a happy bunny with this company..really crap customer service..guess I am back to ol Blissbox, pricy and limited but at least the stuff appears!!!

Hi Mssprinkle, sorry to hear about your bad experience. Just wondering which shipping method was used for this order - did you mean you ordered through UPS or were Action DVD implying that you should have used UPS if you wanted guaranteed delivery?

It is possible to get cheaper prices by ordering from the US - have a look at the international shopping guide thread at the top of the forum to see the stores our readers recommend. You generally find the same stores keep getting mentioned.

There's no getting round the fact that most stores don't guarantee delivery when ordering using methods that rely on the postal system - however, good stores will at least attempt to help you out if things go wrong.

Hi again, when i orderd the DVDs..UPS priority postage was part of the package. So I paid for that. Part of the postage is that u can track the parcel at least part of the journey. That is what I did...and the parcel was last seen in US on 14th April.

Its the baaad customer service that has really got mto me tho..wont be goin near them again

I have used Action-DVD in the past when I lived in Australia. I found their services and video selections to be above most others. I found their staff to be as helpful as they could be with product knowledge and shipping procedures. I find its best to have things shipped via UPS for the best tracking info. I noticed that when items come from the United States that it takes a very long time to get it sometimes taking several weeks in many cases. (Moms cookies were often stale )

Well, Jill, that's great of you to chip in with an alternative view. It would be great if Action-DVD could chip in with their response to mssprinkle...

I ordered several times at that store and had no problem. The thing about shipping is that for international destinations, they offer two main options:

- UPS Worlwide Express: has a tracking number that works until the package is at the front door.
- USPS: only the Global Priority Mail has a tracking which is partial (Action-dvd indicates it on their site), that is the parcel is tracked until it leaves the US, after that no tracking. Most of the time parcels then get delayed at customs (usually one month).

You can try to fax them.
