Does anyone know if foreign releases of Bad Wives are as badly cut as the US DVD? I'd love to see a restored version of this - and The Masseuse 3 , for that matter - but can't see Vivid getting around to it.

Supposedly Vivid was going to be releasing a collector's edition or something like it of Bad Wives , but I thought that was going to be coming out a year or so ago. Right now I think it's pencilled in on the schedule for right after the movie with monkey's flying out of my ass is released...

Astro is right, about three or four years ago VIVID stated publically that the full version of BAD WIVES was going to be released on DVD, followed by some of the other movies they butchered...err, "edited". Of course, nothing ever happened.

I remember contacting Vivid to ask them why they edited out scenes from some of their early DVD titles. Their excuse was that (at that time) they could not fit an entire movie on a single disc.

Meanwhile companies like Private were putting out 2+ hour movies, plus extras, on a single disc at the same time.

I guess Vivid didn't have that technology at the time. Now they no longer have me as a customer.

I also seem to remember telling people who e-mailed them with such questions that they knew that people would rather have all their extras and their movies hacked up with their so-called multiple angles than to have the full movie as it originally existed. Hmmmmm. I wonder if George Luca$ was a Vivid fan...

Bad Wives was a DVD I was really interested in watching when I first read about it but the DVD was absolute rubbish. I think multi-angle is a great idea when its just that - the same action captured from the various angles so that you can flick between them and see what's going on (Shayla's Web is the best example of it that I've seen). However what really annoyed me was how the multi abgle on a liot ofg early Vivid stuff is just random footage from the scenes slammed together in a random order. Really really annoying IMO.
