I remember a shitty company called Leisure Time back in the 90's, who would censor out any and all cuss words from their movies. I always thought that was stupid and pretty bizarre.
Leisure Time is still around. They now sell old videos they taped (mostly) in the age of film as comp footage. The videos I purchased from them were of poor quality, but I don't recall any censoring of words.
Being P.C. doesn't appear to be an overall trend because Brazzer's popular Pornstar Punishment series emphasizes scripted verbal and physical abuse.

Something I've noticed a lot in porn lately has reminded me of this thread. Whereas it used to be common to hear sexually pejorative words such as "slut," "bitch," "whore," etc., in porn, I rarely hear men in porn use these words anymore. The weird thing is that these words are still common in movie/scene titles and descriptions. They're written all over DVD boxcovers and Internet scene summaries. But they're hardly ever spoken in the actual scenes. I know that the anti-porn political environment of recent years has played a big role in intimidating porn into not pushing the envelope too far, like it used to. Thus, if you're a guy like me who likes this type of thing, and enjoys watching an occasional extreme porn scene, then you're just SOL in today's conservative porn climate. This is yet another reason that I would really produce my own porn if I could.
