Make sure you keep a good eye on your card that you use with the 3rd party discounts. I've had bad luck with them..and have had to go to the bank and get my card shut down and numbers changed.

If there is a problem with purchasing a BangBros membership, it's with the billing processor, not the porn discount site (like iDealgasm). It was a couple years ago, but I do remember an instance when I was being charged "a dollar here, a dollar there" for some of that extra stuff advertised on the BangBros site that I did not actually agree to purchase. So, yeah, since then, I've always been a bit cautious when buying a BangBros membership.
I've followed this thread pretty much since it started and the one thing that has always surprised me about it is how few people complain about the billing practices and other credit card issues when you join.
In my experience the billing issues have nothing to do with the referral service, as Mass Facialities points out. I've used Idealgasm many times for many different memberships and have never had a problem related to the referral service itself. In my experience, and I'm sure I'm not alone, all I do is click through the referral service and if I want to join the site I'm referred to biller that site uses. The same works for Bang Bros.
The thing that I have found about Bang Bros is that their website is a minefield of ads where there is no warning that if you click on an ad you have joined the site and are charged for it.
Bang Bros is really an enigma for me: they are probably one of the biggest and best known porn sites on the Internet and they do produce some great stuff so it utterly baffles me why they continue to undertake shady practices towards their paying customers. I haven't been a member at BB in quite a while but I remember the entire site being like a minefield. One wrong click and you could be automatically charged for a site you had no interest in. I recall one time having a membership there and there was an ad for a new site, XXX Pawn (I think. if that's a BB site then that was it). The link indicated that it would open into the new site and I think it was reasonable for me to assume that it would simply be a tour page. But no, simply by clicking on it I was suddenly a paying member with the charge being deducted from the credit card used for the main it BB membership.
Just to give some context, I have kept a running Word table of memberships since 2012. In that time I have joined Bang Bros four times with the most recent time being 2014. Also since 2012, I have joined Evil Angel 29 times and have a current membership there. That also includes a period of about 18 months where I kept a recurring membership. What's the difference? I really like both sites but the EA billing practices are above-board and I trust them and I know I can cancel easily too. That makes all the difference for me.
I have been thinking about rejoining Bang Bros again but if I do that I will definitely buy a pre-paid, disposable credit card to protect myself. Once bitten, twice shy as they say.
I have found it to be an interesting contrast between this thread and information on Bang Bros posted at Porn Users. Porn Users and its parent site, The Best Porn, have recently opted to de-list Bang Bros due to the constant negative comments regarding billing and credit card practices. I've always been a bit surprised that those same comments aren't expressed in this thread very often. I'm among the PU members who had bad experiences with Bang Bros and wrote about it there. I am most definitely not alone.

It's too bad BangBros doesn't have a representative who posts here and could address these complaints.
I agree with what you are saying nearly all those issues have been fixed and will never return. The whole concept really is, let people join, and let people cancel easily. If they have a good experience they will come back multiple times. If you leave a bad taste in someones mouth, they will not return. We aren't penny wise pound foolish here.

Question for experts: accessing site via tablet: after logging in is there anyway to bypass 2nd screen to continue to members area...the unlock special offer tab is too close to members area that you could hit accidentally!!!
the few times it's happened, the Credit Card company texts me that a "flagged" company is trying to access my credit card...
if you don't reply to text in less than 1 hour to OK transaction, they cancel your card and send you a new card...

Whenever my porno card gets dinged I'll get a text asking if I know about the charge and/or a call asking me to confirm. Almost every time it's because the processor is overseas and upon request they whitelist them so recurring charges aren't interrupted.
On occasion it'll be suspended but a quick call and 3-5 min wait for the unlock clears it.
