I don't know what you're thinking; however, trust me on this one. Don't ever, ever bareback! People lie all the time about their HIV status, and many people don't care if they infect someone else with the AIDS virus. They couldn't care less if you get and sick and die, as long as they get their rocks off for the moment.
The cocktail medications out today do not always work for everyone. I took of care of one of my best friends who eventually succumbed to AIDS. He was an extremely handsome man who was vibrant and full of life and energy. As he grew sicker, despite being on medication, he had no energy and was not full of life. Then, there came a point when he wasn't even handsome any more; he didn't even look like himself. It's not a pretty death!
So, again, don't ever bareback! It's like playing Russian Roulette, and you will probably end up losing. My friend certainly did.

P. S. If you ever start seriously dating anyone, it's always smart for both of you to get tested for HIV. Then, you will both know what you're dealing with.
Also, know your risks. Oral sex without a condom has a less than one percent chance that you will get infected. Anal sex without a condom is the highest risk sexual activity you can do (3% chance of infection). It doesn't seem very high, but the second you begin to practice barebacking more often, you are putting yourself in a high risk situation.
My motto is, use a condom, get tested regularly, and be selective. But I do know people bareback, and if you are going to, then be cautious. Usually with HIV and AIDS you don't realize you're sick until you are really in trouble (There is a period where the HIV virus lays dormant in your system. That time period can last a month or two years.)
Plus, a condom is also an easier way to clean up after.
I did, with my ex. We were together for 4 years so I trusted him. Turns out that was a bad idea, he was sleeping around all over the place. Luckily I got out of the relationship clean, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to trust someone enough to do it again.
I haven't posted for a while, but I figured that I would chime in. I'm 27 and my partner of 5 years is 25. We totally trust each other so we definitely have unprotected sex. My partner actually likes it when I leave my load inside him. I must confess however, that a bigger "no no" turn on for me is having him cum in my mouth. I can't get enough of servicing him and having a suprise at the end. I'm curious if some people feel differently about oral cumshots, ie unprotected anal sex is unsafe while unprotected oral sex is OK. Anyone want to chime in?
Statistically unprotected oral sex is safer. There is less than a .01% chance of you contracting AIDS. Other STDs... well, not so lucky. Unprotected anal sex is statistically the most risky sexual activity anyone can be engaged in. There is a three percent chance of you getting AIDS. For other STDs, your chances are pretty damn high as well, considering that the tissue inside the anus is more absorbant than anywhere else on your body.
I don't think there's been a single documented case of someone transmitting HIV through oral sex. There's been a number of people who claim they got it that way, but no proof.
I'm not saying it's safe and you should go out and swallow gallons of cum at your local glory hole, though.
BTW, I've always heard rumors that precum contains a much higher percentage of HIV than actual cum, so if you're going to suck a cock without a condom, you've already REALLY exposed yourself to HIV, so you might as well take the full load down your throat.
BUT, I actually called up a radio sex show once and asked them that. Apparently, there have been NO studies on the amounts of HIV present in precum. So chaulk that up as another urban myth.
Here is some other info on studies of oral sex and HIV transmission from AVERT (www.avert.org) (AVERT is an international HIV and AIDS charity based in the UK, with the aim of AVERTing HIV and AIDS worldwide. )
The only things that can be said are that the chances are not zero and they increase significantly if you have any kind of sore or cut in your mouth.
I don't mean to raise fears and I'm actually sort of value neutral on the issue of safe sex, unlike some of my friends who rant about the subject. Each person has to decide for themselves what makes life worth the effort but it would be stupid beyond belief to do so without being fully aware of the risks.
Thank you for replying so honestly about this topic everyone. I am still a virgin, but I cum the most when I have fantasies of swallowing thick loads and letting a guy leave his DNA up my anus. I probably want to try it once or twice when I become sexually active. There is something about tasting a man's cum that turns me on. I think it is mostly because when you have swallowed someone's cum, you feel that you have given all of yourself to him. There is nothing that you will not do for your man after swallowing his cum. After all, you have lowered yourself to eating goo that has come out of his penis.
On the other hand, now that I have read what you guys thought based on your knowledge and experience--I will think twice. EroticVoyeur's example shows me that AIDS does not discriminate, and will affect those who are seemingly perfect and goodlooking. JoeBlow's example shows me that even someone you think you can trust could still be sexually promiscuous.
Life is hard enough as a homosexual, I don't think that having AIDS will help.
