I then determined, based on the small, fuzzy boxcover pic of Cameron, and discussions with IAFD Admins, that Cameron was indeed a new girl. Could you please explain for us -- in some literate, understandable fashion -- what you were trying to say, and how the IAFD, apparently, displeased you? P.S. We do NOT receive screeners. We obtain the VAST amount of our data ourselves by spending our time researching it. What we "need," and greatly appreciate, are contributions from our friends and visitors that help spot errors, suggest corrections and help fill-in details that are impossible to know without the actual movie in your hands, or from a thorough and accurate review from one of the better reviewers. The important point here is, that these are helpful contributions, NOT the heavy-lifting required to maintain, correct and keep adding new movies to the database at the rate of 400-500+/per month. No it's not.Unless the typical ADT thread starts posting information [invalid URL removed]like this, it is not providing us with the information we need to build the database. The IAFD and ADT are two very different things. Virtually all of our IAFD administrators are also senior members (1,000+ posts) here on ADT as well. The relationship is so beneficial, that we now have our own [invalid URL removed]IAFD Direct Forum, with yours truly as one of the moderators, right here on ADT :) Coming back to our new girl [invalid URL removed]Cameron, let's look at [invalid URL removed]this thread. You will notice that the thread started on 5/11/06 and that many people, including you, posted snippets of information and interest in this new performer. You might also notice, that it wasn't until 8/14/06 that anyone (which would be me) actually posted an actual movie title credit for her. The "Cameron thread" was a perfect example of how the IAFD/ADT "system" works to everyone's benefit. • I had to use a fuzzy boxcover pic as a headshot pic for the NEW Cameron performer's listing that I created as a result of researching the Barely Legal #61 title. • In reading the "Cameron thread" on ADT, and looking at the pic links everyone was posting, I recognized that this was "my" new Cameron, and was able to use these links to find a much better headshot pic for the IAFD database. • I post this information to the ADT community who has expressed interest in the new Cameron. We all now have a solid ID, with a solid headshot pic, from which we all can now work to build the new informational database of the new Cameron. As new Cameron movies are released, we now have a place to track them... Hopefully, there will be many IAFD visitors and ADT contributors who will suffer through having to "click" on our "Submit Corrections" button -- on every performer's and movie title's page on our website. In any event, let me end my little rant by stating, emphatically, that it is NOT possible to build the IAFD database by simply scouring posts here on ADT. [Link] |
