The new Batman parody looks to be a cut above the rest, with attention paid to detail and things like that. It has become a small sensation since the trailer came out, and by all accounts it should be successful for Vivid, so why will it be DVD-only? I realize that Blu-ray is generally not profitable for porn titles, but surely this one will be an exception? It seems that Vivid, along with several other porn companies, have a rather nasty habit of putting select titles out on Blu-ray months after their debut on DVD, and then charging twice as much for them. Now, I don't have a problem--in this one instance--paying $50 to buy the Blu-ray edition of this flick, I just refuse to buy the DVD for $30 when I know it will come out on Blu-ray eventually. So can someone please explain who decides when and how to put titles on Blu-ray, and when can I expect to be able to pick this title up in that format? [Link] |
