I have, belatedly, begun checking out some recent Belladonna Entertainment titles. While the scenes fall under the broad category of "rough gonzo," there's a different vibe than I get even from reasonably good scenes directed by other Evil Angel raw-teurs . The Girl-Girl-(Girl) material is nearly beyond hardcore, with a heavy emphasis on what Freud (or some college film prof indebted to Freud, who somehow got the phrase stuck in my head) called the "polymorphous perverse." I'm not really into the whole "stick this giant rubber toy up her tight baby asshole!" in general, but damn if Bella doesn't do about as much as you can imagine in that regard without speaking German. I guess what I'm trying to say is she's really creative – when I watch a Bella scene, I feel like I'm watching someone at PLAY, not at WORK. And the performers seem to respond the same way ... Checking out the 2 hour (!!!) BTS for Manhandled – again, rough B/B/G gonzo for the most part, shot in a loft with lots of natural light and, yeah, a frickin' couch – there was more fun, natural, naughty, good-time fuckin' around going on that you really felt like you had a window into the FUN side of being a porn star ... the way the profession CAN allow individuals to BE individuals and have all this fun, no-strings, guilt-free sex, and get paid, and get off.

It made me wish more porn producers had Belladonna's attitude. But how many porn producers, shooting a girl in a double-anal scene (Missy Monroe, and wow) have actually had two big fat cocks up their ass at the same time or fucked a dozen or more guys in two hours ???

I think it makes a difference. It could be such a subtle difference that I can't detail its particulars. But it's there, even as a vibe. I think if hardcore porn is going to find an audience that responds to it not as, ultimately, a form of exploitation, but as a way of enhancing, expanding, expressing deeper and more enjoyable natural sexuality free of sociological baggage ... well, Bella's leading the way.
