I never saw it. I wish I had. I'd check this thread for updates every morning because the folder would be blue indicating a new post or edit. The only edits I ever saw were the blank posts. When the guy first signed up he made a number of posts all attacking Bush DVD. He obviously had an agenda. When 5 of your first 6 posts are all about attacking a company it's pretty obvious what's going on.
We do not have to receive the DVDs back before we ship the next ones. Once you click the Rapid Return buttons, we ship the next available DVDs in two days whether or not we have received them. Jason
But do you wait for the returned items to hit the USPS tracking system before sending out the new ones? i.e. it's not just clicking RapidReturn, it's a combination of RapidReturn and actually putting the item in the mail.
Have considered joining again. They do have a great selection, and it may have been misunderstanding. I have listened to, and heard from, members who have had a long experience with them and I have not seen or heard the same complaints I had. I myself, have been an active member for over a year with another rental and cannot complain. But I may have been wrong and made complaints with this company where they weren't completely founded if given more time. Short time member, and had some serious complaints. Not on selection side, but customer service. I will say even this, was over a holiday weekend when mailing became an issue. Never price, never condition, etc. It was "shipment", and I was shocked to hear someone call me a lier when I had a complaint. It is important to understand that a DVD will not be considered returned until it is "scanned". This becomes part of an "honesty factor". And the next video will be mailed when DVD's are scanned.. I believe this is correct? If not, still mistaken. I think this is important regarding service. Otherwise, I will still say.. considering again. Great selection. Fair business (perfect), and great practices. Just know the rules as perfect... Caveats... All in all, leaning towards another membership given total experience and understanding now.
No. It's "honesty factor", not "honor system". I believe they are very different. Confused?? They send out the next videos when they are scanned, but two-day rapid return is factored in.? Confused how it works together.
You've got me confused at this point. We have never said anything has to be scanned nor have we used the term "honesty factor". Here is what I posted on October 27th. "We do not have to receive the DVDs back before we ship the next ones. Once you click the Rapid Return buttons, we ship the next available DVDs in two days whether or not we have received them." It's that simple. Jason
It should probably be noted that I see BushDVD just popped over the 30,000 title mark. That my friends, is a lot of porn. A warehouse of it, I'm betting. Congrats on this milestone.
I've been a member for about 3 or 4 yrs..it seems like their shipping has actually got better in the past couple of months..I know this time of the year is usually more busy for the USPS, but it seems like I'm getting titles quicker. I'm on the East Coast and sometimes seeing titles in two days..I like Bush's service..just with they had more copies of the new releases or more of the bigger studios.
I've been an 8-out rental member with adult dvd empire for the past two years and i'm very happy with their service. The selection is what makes them really stand out. Heynow mentioned that Bush has over 30,000 items Adult dvd empire has over 59,000 rental items
Thanks Rip I checked out Adult dvd and you are right on with selection. Right on! The price is considerably higher though.. For an 8 vid membership, the price is $53.95... Where others are around $44.00 bones.. ($10 more) I would be very curious about their shipping as well, extremely! The selection is tempting, and I may make a switch myself to try it out. I do like where I am at, but the selection is limited.
Best DVD provider I have experienced so far has been Sugar DVD. And may be largely because I have been a 2 year customer with little to complain about. I have tried others "at a glance" and have not been as satisfied "side by side" with many things considered. SugarDVD: EXCELLENT customer service. Great shipping. Value.. It would be hard to leave a company I am satisfied with and has earned my business. Bush DVD has so much to offer. I am contemplating joining their membership as well. They too have a great business practice. Fair, concise... (but still left as a former customer on "honesty factor" and shipping). Great selection, and value.
I was with Wantedlist.com for about 3 years. I was mostly satisfied with them in the beginning. But I finally gave up on them when they cut me from a 3 dvd plan to a 2 dvd plan with no explanation. Additionally, I had over 150 dvds in my queu, but only one was available "NOW". They were all either "Available Next" which seemed to never happen, or were "Short Wait" or "Long Wait". I had some in the queu for the entire 3 years. I sent several emails, but got no response. I'm now with SugarDVD and they seem to be much better. Shipping seems faster (I live in the south), and most of their dvds are available. They also seem to have a good selection. Although, I'd like to see them carry some Score titles.
after subscribing to bush dvd for a while, i decided to check out some other services. though happy with bush, i was looking for a site that had more of the older titles that i liked.i found adult dvd empire, signed up, and so far, so good. shipping is fast on east coast. only problem concerns multi-disc sets. i rented "german grindhouse collection" hoping the see the movie" josephine" the only disc that arrived was the disc containing stag films. when i contacted them i was told that they had no way to put both discs in the system. why not do like bush, and make both discs available as separate rentals?
Hi folks I just took the trial membership with "Hit Movies" (Excalibur). I found in making my list, that about 80% of the titles are not currently in stock, though they claim 8-10 days to restock titles. Anyone have experience with this company? Is this typical? I see that a consensus here is for the "Bush" service. Are they better at stocking titles, or about the same? My interest, at least initially, is in the classic 70s material, like Alpha Blue. Thanks, yer Pal Joey img=77f0f3fa54ca4f0a9b425d79
adult dvdempire has a good selection of classics in stock, including alpha blue. they ship from pennsylvania-shipping to the midwest is usually 2-3 days. i did some quick math-turnaround is usually 6 days, meaning you can get between 24-30 discs a month with the 6 out plan at 38.95, which means you pay less than 1.75 per rental. compare a local store where you get 3 discs for 8.00, or about 2.33 each figure in the cost of gas, and online rental is the way to go. i do miss going to my local store, but they never seem to carry anything but new releases. i look more for classic and euro, which is easier to find on the web just my opinion-your mileage may vary.
Joined Bush DVD again! Great service and smoothe sailing. No complaints. Bush has an incredible selection, and if you understand rental.. I don't know how you could be dissapointed. Just understand how to return and be fair. I am likely the last person to give props and promote, because I had an experience that made me a sceptic (my own fault not understanding, and thinking slow service). But I think I can appreciate, and understand how it all works. Simple.. Use Return (not when available, but when you actually drop movies) and the next will be mailed. Delivered as quick as 2, maybe 5 days max. A great service that tells you by email not only when they have recieved your returns, but when your movies have been mailed. And unlike others, packaging is discreet, and in good condition. Based on selection, service, and business.. I am a satisfied customer. I would recommend this business.
With Bush being out of commision (email today said they are working hard to get back up), can anyone recommend a temp. service until they start shipping..any update to this thread..I'm on the East Coast..Bush typically took 3 days to get here, so I'm ok with that timetable.
i finally signed up at empire. the queue can hold 255 titles. i ran out of stuff i want to see or might like at 170ish. some are not in stock at empire. if they were, i would still be under 200. first disc two day shipping. it arrived enveloped, with a thin sheet of foam padding. i expected a hard case in the envelope. that would add weight and shipping cost, but i have seen posts about discs being crushed and broken under heavy packages or in tight slots. Overall I like bush's site more than empire's, but empire has screenshots and their shipments arrive generally one or two days sooner in Michigan. Some I want to see are stocked by neither. Edited by - charn on 7/6/2010 7:31:44 PM
