A slow, poorly directed, terribly photographed, and just plain dull piece of crap. 2040 - An interesting idea bogged down by poor execution and cheap "futuristic" sets. The Sex Files: A Dark XXX Parody - Well written and produced movie that's destroyed by an over-abundance of l-o-n-g sex scenes. Pure - Haven't seen. Throat: A Cautionary Tale - Not even close to being on par with Thomas' film works, but a well made movie, none the less features a strong script, good direction, and well integrated sex scenes. I'll add Heaven, by Paul Thomas, as the best feature of the year. Despite being shot on video, this is a very well written, acted, and directed work which suffers only from its SOV look. [Link] |
