Hmmm...this is a bit more of puzzler, there is a decent amount of Victorian-era porn but I think pulling off a convincing medieval setting wasn't tried in the classic era, there were some Conan rip-offs in the 80s though, but I've never checked them out.

I have THE RIBALD TALES OF CANTERBURY (1985) around here but I haven't watched it yet. There's a review on IAFD.

Canterbury Tales are middle-English, no?
Does Barbara the Barbarian count? It's watchable, which is saying something.
I'm not even sure what "fantasy" means to be honest -- it gets used a lot, typically for a rather narrow view of what it might actually encompass (kinda like sci-fi usually makes people think of outer space and aliens. I remember a roommate scoffing at my calling Quantum Leap sci-fi...). But I digress. Can we get a definition?

Oh wow, I'm not editing my previous post because I try not to be a coward. Medieval = middle ages. Middle-England. I should know that.

Jeez, sorry to be a triple poster...
Here is the Wiki entry on "fantasy" as a genre: "Fantasy is a genre of fiction that uses magic and other supernatural phenomena as a primary element of plot, theme, or setting. Many works within the genre take place in fictional worlds where magic is common. Fantasy is generally distinguished from science fiction and horror by the expectation that it steers clear of (pseudo-)scientific and macabre themes, respectively, though there is a great deal of overlap between the three (which are subgenres of speculative fiction)."
Perhaps I'm the only dum-dum that found this useful, but hopefully it will lead to more title suggestions.

In a broader sense, F by Svetlana would qualify as a fantasy film.

The Lord of the Rings parodies; Whore of the Rings and Lady of the Rings are pretty good.

A European company did a whole series of sword and sandal epics in the 1990s based on Hercules, Ullysses and Sodom and Gommorah.

Again, thinking of 'fantasy' in the classic sense, in other words not strictly sword and sorcerery or elves and hobbits. So few of these are set in the past but it has opened up the options in my mind:
Through the Looking Glass
Devil Inside Her
Bacchanale
Baby Rosemary
The Devil in Miss Jones
Beauty
Corruption
Angela the Fireworks Woman
Pandora's Mirror
Visions

I think Blonde Goddess would qualify also. And perhaps Blue Magic.

Is Xcalibur the type of film you are looking for?
