There's a lot of porn-movie search engines (obviously the fact this sells movies is a reason). There are also a few decent porn-star search engines out there, but these typically search for a name and tell you what movies they've been in.
I'm looking for some other search features -- I want to be able to enter a criteria for what KIND of star I like, and what KIND of porn I like, and have it tell me what stars/movies have scenes that fit my criteria.
Just to pick an example: let's say I'm looking for a star with at least size D breasts or larger that are natural, is between 5'5" and 5'10", is white, has made movies in the last 5 years, and has done a scene involving both DP and deep-throating cum. -- The search engine then tells me what pornstars, pornmovies, and particular scenes satisfy those things.
So far about the best I've seen is SearchExtreme, but it doesn't have capability for searching on porn-star characteristics, just what they do in a scene. The other thing I never see are listings for whether the girls have implants (like before/after cup sizes and when they were done) and being able to filter out scenes with fake-titted girls.
www.sportyone.com is exactly what you're looking for. I wasn't aware of the site until recently when the owner, a Swedish guy came by my office on a recommendation of a friend in common who is my website's new tour designer.
Bottom line: great free site that breaks down all the variables of acts, on a huge selection of performers... and their web ranking is great because the guy who owns it is a search engine optimizing wiz.

But, that doesn't really tell the story. This site doesn't really tell me anything I don't already know. I can't search for naturally busty stars I've never heard of, because it doesn't even have measurements, let alone searching for it. Great, it tells me Angel Dark has natural tits - I already knew that -- I'm looking for girls LIKE her that I HAVEN'T heard of already. Great, it tells me she's done DP scenes - I already knew that -- I'd like to know all the scenes where she did it, and who the guys were.
So you don't think I'm just negative about everything, I will give two examples of useful sites I've run across.
www.SearchExtreme.com AMAZING for info on the content of movies. It breaks them down by scene, who is in each scene, the progression of acts performed in each scene (i.e. reverse cowgirl, followed by standing doggy, etc), and what kind of cumshots took place. Finally, it has an almost staggering list of keyword "fetishes", in addition to the basic info -- stuff like "huge tits" or "ass-to-mouth". This is for each SCENE. So you can literally try a search for a scene with Anita Dark, Rocco, Anal Creampies, and Ass-to-Mouth.
The weakness of SearchExtreme is with the girls part of the database. At best, you might see a decent picture and some basic measurements. But, for the most part, when it tells you who is in a scene, you have to already know whether you like those names or not.
www.IAFD.com This site is a lot weaker than SearchExtreme in terms of scene descriptions and keywords (although by no means useless). Its strengths are more on the performer database side of things. There tends to be more info on the girls and their careers. It also has links to tons of external reviews on the movies. But, again, this is the sort of thing you use if you ALREADY know the name of the girl.
What I'd like to see is the level of detail SearchExtreme has for scenes, applied to a database on the pornstars. It should have all the basics on her. For tits in particular, there is a lot of room for improvement. There should be basic measurements (34-24-36), and then info on her cup size, with multiple entries corresponding to whatever sizes she's been over the years and whether they were fake or real. Let's face it: girls can change their tits several times over their career. The ultimate would be for the database to have a detailed list of her films and when they were made. For example, wouldn't it be nice to be able to search for what types of scenes Jenna Jameson did when she was natural?
To sum it up, I'd like to see something that's a combination of SearchExtreme and IAFD... that has both a detailed movie/scene database and a performer database. The whole point of the search engine is to tell you things you didn't know but would like to know, and in this context, I know what sort of girls turn me on, I know what I like to see girls on camera, and I want to find scenes with that content. That's what the search engine needs to do.
I love SearchExtreme. One feature they have that is outstanding is the photos of the talent when you run your mouse/cursor over the stars' name. Other sites for movies are MovieMonster.com , HotMovies.com, ExcaliburFilms.com, Toyboxxx.com etc.
For pornstars I'd recommend just for great pics: Freeones.com, Pornstarbooking.com, Bomis.com
Bomis can be tricky if you're not familiar with it. Their search engine location bar is like the others. But it's what & how you enter your search. For instance I was looking up some photos on Raylene, so I entered her name and I was redirected to Nightsurf.com, a kid-safe adults only site with pornstars. But I went back to Bomis and tried my hand again with Raylene in their search. I intentionally misspelled her name as 'Rayleen' and walla, a ton of stuff on her came up bypassing Nightsurf. Another way to go directly to pornstars on Bomis is to type the word 'rings' after any stars' name. Bomis labels theirs pornstar sites by rings. This will usually lead to any pornstar who's popular or well known.
Also all the major pornstars can be located with search here on ADULT DVD TALK. In addition to the features a star makes many compilations they are in also is listed. This mostly with Vivid video.
We've never really focused on our performer data. It's something that we hope to improve but never to the level of a searchextreme indexing system. There's simply too much product and too many performers out there to index and maintain. Some day we hope to have scene indexes of which performers are in which scenes in which movies. I doubt we'll include what types of sex acts are involved and where the semen ends up.
It boggles my mind just thinking about the quantity of data that went into SearchExtreme's database... if they would add more data on performers and the ability to search for performers based on those things, it would be pretty darn near perfect.

Pretentious, sometimes people are more helpful than search engines. I bet if you posted a thread saying what you like and asking for suggestions you would find some stars and movies to your liking.But Walter Burns is online and he has helped people find what they're looking for and what they didn't even know they were looking for.
Funny you should say that -- we're in the process of coming up with something similar. While I am unsure if the level of detail SearchExtreme captures is necessary (it certainly takes a lot longer to do the data entry), I agree with the rest of your assessments, and we're working on an advanced performer engine at the moment.
We'll add this thread to the wishlist.

I really do think SearchExtreme sets the standard in terms of the level of data combined with the power of the search engine. They blow everything else I've seen out of the water.
The main thing IAFD has going for it is good performer filmographies combined with links to reviews. Since porn scenes are so formulaic, finding a decent review will, combined with knowledge of the performers, will typically tell me everything I need to know.
The real breakthrough will be when a site breaks girl's filmographies down by year of PRODUCTION and actually can tell you what size tits (i.e. pre/post surgeries) she had in each movie. This is a frequent question on forums -- people would love to filter Jenna Jameson's movies based on those scenes where she was natural, those scenes where she got her first boob job, those after she got huge implants, etc.
The other big thing SearchExtreme doesn't have (and just about everyone else to their eternal shame) is the ability to filter scenes or movies by whether the tits are real -- they have a "huge breasts" fetish but no "real breasts" fetish.
And again, this ties in with the performer "breast eras" capability... the performer data and the scene/movie data need to be tied together... I should be able to search for a SCENE with a girl having natural 34DD's getting a creampie.
But, yes, of course these forums are a great "alternative" to search engines... but the point of this post was search engines.
What I don't like about it is, that you have partial matches, even when you type a movie title in "". (maybe I'm to stupid) They have Movies, which are not indexed that is OK. It's a long process. But there are also many not even listed.
Adult Movie FAQ: I would like to know how iafd gets their data? Do they wait for companies announcements, take it from imdb, or by active research ?
IAFD has a lot more info about adult movies than IMDB do I doubt they get their info from there. I suspect they get their data through active research.
Lots.Well, up until 6 weeks ago, there was one guy in Holland who spent basicially all of his free time watching, reading and doing data entry. We would then dump in 300-500 titles per month into the database in a big batch.
But then he passed away.
So, now, we're doing all of the above -- data entry is being done by myself and one other guy with help coming from other folks, we get our data from a variety of places -- company announcements, reviews, active research. We don't rely on imdb at all, our research in the past have found them to be somewhat less than complete in their details, and they don't seem to have the vetting process that we do.
What we lack in detail, we feel we make up in accuracy. While mistakes are made (and some that don't have any real impact are intentional for watermarking).
We also believe reviews are the key to filling in the details. There're more people reviewing today than there were 5 years ago -- the rate of growth on the review side is astounding. We use the reviews to tell us which titles are being watched and we prioritize them for inclusion if we don't already have them. We'll tell you Performer X does an creampie, but we rely on the review (for the time being) to shade in the details...

I should have qualified that by saying that the level of detail, OF THE DATA THEY HAVE, is superior. You're right that there are a lot of gaps in their movies database, along with having movies listed but no details on them beyond the stars. However, for the ones they DO have details on, the details and the ability to SEARCH for those details are top-notch. I also like the "hover portrait" feature where just moving your mouse over a star's name shows a little popup of their face and basic stats.
Key features I'd like to see in the ideal database: SearchExtreme-level of searchable keywords/scene breakdowns Links to external reviews and internal (member reviews) of movies AND performers. Member voting on performers, scenes, and movies, rating them on many factors -- and being able to search on these ratings. Extra effort put into the dates when scenes were filmed and linked to data on when female performers had surgery (i.e. before/after Jenna's boob job, or Tera's nose job, etc). Wikipedia-style features for info on stars and other member-supported content.
