Why is it that when I look at "best selling DVD's" I never find anything I would consider buying?
Does people have a poor taste or are they tricked in some way.
I have seen about 200 DVDs and I like many different genres, but the bestsellers seem very unattractive to me. Is it the same for you?

The obvious answer is what you like and what other people like may be different. Plus, because there is so much product on the market--and so much "speciality" product, like anal, dp, gangbangs, IR--the bestsellers are based on fewer sales. I keep hearing that selling more than 3,000 copies of a sexvid makes it a bestseller. That seems really low to me, and unprofitable too!

The other thing to keep in mind is "who" compiled the Bestseller List you're looking at. If it's a retail website, they're probably only reporting their sales, as opposed to an "industry trade" site where they claim to be reporting sales figures from across the board. But the industry sales figures may only report how many copies were shipped by the distributor to the retail outlets NOT the number of copies customers brought. And, industry figures will not take into account returned DVDs.

My bottom line advice: don't let any sales figures influence what you buy--they're probably inaccurate. Buy what you like, and what gets you off.

Because those are the one's the store wants you to buy and make the most money off of if they sell them.

Most people are just dumb enough to pick anything up if the word "Best Seller" is place on the packaging.

Marketing Sham, that's all it is.
