It doesn't really matter to me how the polling is conducted, so long as it is done fairly. Sure, nobody wants to see one of their favorites with a double-digit score while other ladies have a vote total in the tens of thousands - but on the other hand, if some women are actively organizing their fan bases to vote as often as possible and otherwise promoting the contest every way they can, and as a result their vote count is a lot higher than other contestants who aren't actively asking for votes, I can't really complain about that. Perhaps the "catching-up" has to do with the site owners removing votes they deem to have been added by cheating, or maybe instead they add votes to everyone else to counteract the cheaters. Otherwise, I don't think I much care for this sort of catching up...unless all the girls are getting additional votes equally. Having said all that - GO MARIAH!! [Link] |

Suddenly she was getting a vote per second every time she would get behind!!!!! And then Booble came out and announced no more wireless broadband votes which I don't get. Once they slowed the voting down her votes have been so steady that the only way it could be done is by a script. She is getting exactly 45 votes per hour, down from 55 votes per hour. As her lead grows I'm sure they will slow their script down so not to make it unnecessarily one sided. This sucks and it's not fair but that's life. I'm 8000 miles away and the last thing I want to do while I'm here is sit and stress over this contest. I deserve to win simply because my photo is the best in this contest and I have marketed myself with everything I've got. Sunny is living at the Bunny Ranch and I seriously doubt has anything to do with this contest. Vicky wants to win for her because she own's Sunny's site and will maintain control over the Booble Blog which allows her to promote herself and the other sites she owns and her girls in the monthly contests. Sunny will get the $5000 but the other promo benefits Vicky gets are far more valuable than that. If there is no cheating and Sunny is winning honestly then I'm sorry but I've been told by far more people than you can imagine that it isnt so. By people who know scripting and understand the math and some who were beaten by Vicky even though they have bigger names and much larger followings as well as more resources. As I said before, earlier on in the race Sunny was up by 3000+ votes. Within a few days(2 to be exact) you not only caught up with her votes, you were beating her by a few hundred. Sunny's 3000+ vote lead took days to get. Your comeback and taking of the lead took less then 2. Then your voting slowed down a lot and returned to normal just as you say Sunny's did. So you want us to believe Sunny is cheating, yet your votes are all legit?! One minute you go from getting a tidal wave of 1700+ votes a day for like 2 days, then drastically drop back down to maybe a few hundred. Again, see what i'm saying. | sunnyleonefan Member New Hampshire 104 Posts 9/05 | Posted - Sep 22 2009 : 2:52PM I've participated in quite a few on-line contests such as this one over the years, and it's been my experience that a lot of them - at least the ones I am familiar with - are bogus. Too many of these so-called "contests" are simply rigged so that one certain contestant will win in the end, no matter how many votes anyone else may honestly receive. Whether it's the people who run the site, or someone who has figured out a way to manipulate it to their advantage, it's still pretty pathetic. One alleged contest I used to vote in claimed to be looking for "The Million Dollar Woman"...and supposedly that was the prize. Each month, the voting got intense, usually among a select group of girls, a couple of whom got called out for cheating. The site routinely checked for bogus votes and would remove them. Then, some girls who were playing fairly would get huge increases in votes, which were then taken away with the next site check. This happened several times to a friend of mine who was in this contest, and she eventually got discouraged because she was having her vote counts tampered with by having them artificially inflated, only to have those votes taken away, often shortly before the end of the contest, which gave her little time to fairly catch up. She was one who got unfairly branded a cheater. Ultimately, the site got taken down before the contest concluded and, as far as I know, no million dollar prize ever got awarded to anyone, if such a prize ever truly existed to begin with. I haven't noticed anyone's vote totals going down in this contest, but I would not be surprised to learn that someone is tampering with your vote totals, just to make it look like this competition is legit, and not a vanity piece simply for the benefit of one woman, with or without her knowledge or direct involvement. In any event, it seems pretty obvious to me that you are not behind any shady business going on with this contest. It sounds to me like you are trying like hell to honestly win a contest which may well be far from honest. I base this solely on what I see, not any first-hand knowledge of any of the contestants, because I do not know any of you. In fact, I am not even familiar with a majority of the women involved. All I know is you, Mariah, are the hottest woman in the contest and I am not persuaded you are doing anything other than honestly promoting yourself in order to secure a fair win...therefore I would be happy to see you win. Besides, who would bother to cheat in order to set themselves up to win second place, especially when there is no second place prize? I'm not saying Sunny Lane herself is cheating, because I don't know that to be true. However, based on what I have seen and read, it seems pretty likely someone is cheating on her behalf. Regardless of what the final vote counts show, anyone who resorts to fixing these sort of contests for themselves is no winner, and anyone who does so under the guise of making sure one contestant "wins" may get rewarded for their dishonesty with cash and/or promotional opportunities leading to more cash, but that person is still a loser. For what it's worth, Mariah, I consider you a winner, no matter the results of the voting. At least you'll have your self-respect, along with the respect of your many fans, for campaigning hard yet fairly. Plus, you are smoking hot as well, so you've also got that going for you! [Link] |
