I don't get on so well with watching them on my monitor anyway (even though it's probably a nicer screen than my TV). I rent mainstream movies from a supplier that has mostly software/erotica, with the odd mainstream big-budget feature available but really not much to play with (pun intended). So I've decided that it's worth trying out an adult dvd-rental too (my permanent collection's already larger than I think it needs to be and it's too easy to spend more than I wish some months buying titles spontaneously in shops and the risk of purchasing crap without easily being able to research them 1st - well, there's 3G mobile and a decent browser, but it would still suck). There don't seem to be many rental options in the UK:
Why are there so few? Are they worried about hygiene? The law? The other option - just buy them and sell the ones I don't want here or at an equivalent site (not that there's many options for that, either); or some shops'll give you a discount for when you go back to buy new ones with your returns. Any others I've missed in my searches? I mean, any that have a proper range of not-just-softcore titles? Downloading samples of particular scenes from various sites may be useful too, but I suspect I'll carry on reading reviews and looking at box front/back covers/going by directors/stars to try and narrow the selection for serious purchase.
