I am sure this has been gone over time and time again, but just to make sure, I want to know what is the best American site for sending to the UK. I have used Movies by Mail but their choice is poor, and cdmoviesus are good but I don't like that they take a while before they even send and I keep having problems with the site. So what is the best one? My criteria are as follows;

They must send without the boxes, ie just the discs in a plain envelope. (Do Adult Video Universe offer this?)
They must send straight away
They must send to the UK
They must be reliable
They cannot ask customers for copies of credit card statements as other sites do just to start up with them.

Can anyone make suggestions?

Hey Ironmay. I work for Adult DVD Empire. We do ship abroad. We don't necessarily meet all of your criteria.

-We can ship without cases and artwork to the UK (we call it USPS Global Priority and you only get the discs in a protective sleeve).
-We do same day shipping (we ship Monday-Friday until 3 PM EST).
-We do ship to the UK.
-Our shipping is very reliable and our stock status is listed in real time so you know what we have and what we don't.
-Unfortunately we do require card verification for international customers as part of our purchasing process. Mostly we do this for your safety. We don't want someone stealing your card and buying a bunch of things in your name, and we can't do a verification with international cards like we can with American cards. (I know many sites-and not just adult sites-are going to this kind of a system to protect against internet fraud.)

I sincerely hope this is helpful to you in making your decision on from where you will buy your adult DVDs.

I've been buying from action-dvd for the last 3 years and I buy on average $100-$150 worth of DVDs from them a month, and they've been pretty good to me so far.

In answer to your question, they tick off of your boxes.

I recommend Adult DVD Today and Lasers Edge as they both meet your criteria. Lasers Edge don't show stock status and that annoyed me at first, but I've found they almost always ship within 3 days of the order being placed and the shipping time is very short with global priority. Adult DVD Today show stock status and they ship immediately, although global priority seems to take a couple of days longer than with Lasers Edge. In other words time from order to your mailbox is pretty much the same for both companies, around a week in my experience.
Update: US Postal Service has discontinued Global Priority Mail so I ordered some discs from Lasers Edge a couple of weeks ago via regular airmail without cases. Shipping time was just as fast as Global Priority had been and the package arrived safely. The packaging is not as secure though and could probably be opened pretty easily by curious people. The old Global Priority envelopes were always well sealed and could not be opened easily.

We are relatively new to the adult DVD marketplace but have been doing mainstream DVD's for a number of years now and have a very large international customer base so would be happy to work with you on your orders and sure we can meet all the requirements your after.

You can't go wrong with Adult DVD Now.
They were the first US store to actively court the UK market and are well established. I've used them off and on for around 7 years now and only 1 package has gone missing (which they kindly reshipped FOC)
They aren't the cheapest around but they are fast and reliable with good customer service on the rare occasion that things go wrong.
I placed my last order early Friday morning (UK time) and received it safely this morning (Tuesday).
I'd say they easily satisfy the first 4 of your criteria, I'm not sure of the 5th though. One of their reps (Jay I think) used to post here in the past - perhaps he can advise on their behalf.
BTW, I'm in no way associated with ADN other than being a satisfied customer.

Jadedvideo are really good. Just tell them how you want your item sent out and they'll comply. Same with Excalibur.

Customs declaration on pack. No need to concern yourself about that at all.
Dispatch is subject to "in stock" that is clearly indicated on film page. If not in stock you can check the status after about 48 hours
They send everywhere.
They are very reliable. They contact you if there is an unusual delay i.e. on a pre order.
No statements. they will ask you to reconfirm your order on you first purchase, but not card details or anything like that. Just that you did order it.
They have a massive selection. I never failed to find something that is generally currently available, on offer.
Not that good for transsexual DVD's though

Adult Video Universe only send with boxes and put the full value of discs on the customs declaration.
That means you have to keep your order below $30 or face a charge for import duty.

Adult DVD Empire are great. They send disc-only & once when I had a faulty disc they replaced it quickly.
Not the cheapest, but I'm sticking with them.
