I know this is probably the most played out topic and question by every Tom, Dick, and Jane but I haven't seen a thread about it here yet.
I want to get into the ADULT entertainment industry as an actor and breaking into it as a male actor seems more difficult than getting into the Navy Seals.
I'm not looking for any hand outs I just want to know from industry insiders what is the best path to take for a male actor who wants to go for it?
I've already started applying to casting agencies, but I want to do as much as possible to put the odds of success in my favor.
What other things should I be doing to get myself out there and put myself in the best position to get work as an actor?
Are there web sites that post jobs? Is there a particular casting agency, production company, or director I should be talking to who are interested in giving a shot to a newcomer?
As I said I don't expect any handout or to get any work through this site all I'm looking for is to be pointed in the right direction and I will do the work and take the necessary steps to get there.
I'm posting my picture here if someone thinks my looks is particularly right for a certain director, casting agency, or production company please let me know who they are.

Thanks.

Being in decent shape with a nice dick doesn't get you in. . You have to be able to stay hard for 2 - 3 hours with stops, starts, bitchy women, lights, staff wandering around, and cum exactly when demanded. You can use ED drugs to get through that, but there still will need some personal performance. You also need to be able to pump out nice cumshots even if it is your 9th load of the day (very very hard to do). You need to be able to fuck even if the girl stinks, bleeds, shits all over your dick, calls you names, refuses to work with you, etc. You need to be comfortable with other naked men, rubbing their dicks (if you are doing DPS or DV DAP), and the possibility of their cumshot landing on your dick or another part of your body.
Can you do all that?
If you can, then you have two ways to get in
1 - Film your own content and produce your own website
2 - Find a girl who wants to do porn, who is hot enough and/or nasty enough to have the leverage to say she will only do scenes with you and the companies will still hire her with that demand in place
That is about the way it works these days.
Once you do get in, you got to do a lot of scenes so people know you can be relied on. Then, you might make it a sort of career.
A million nice looking guys with nice dicks think in their minds that they can fuck a girl for hours in their personal life and think they can be porn stars; but they don't take into account what I described at the top. Those things do happen every day in porn; all you see when watching a scene is the good stuff; it isn't like that most of the day. Finding a guy who can still fuck with all of that nonsense is very rare, and you cost a company a huge amount of dollars if you show up and lose your erection when all that crap starts happening. Hence why they stick with the same guys over and over again.

Thank you for your reply Cindy.
I understand that a lot of men and women who wish to break into this industry are very naive about the reality of shooting adult films. I've done my research and I understand that it is actual work and involves doing all the things you mentioned in your post. I understand this work is very demanding but I have great control of my body and orgasms, I'm comfortable in my own skin and I don't have an issue being around other guys or having their cocks next to mine. I've lived my life and been in lots of different situations where I think it prepared me for this industry.
I want to do this because if I don't I will feel that I have missed out on a big part of who I am and I didn't make the most of my life.
In my research I've read before that some people recommend coming into a casting session with a girl and filming a scene with her is the best way to get work, is that true?
Another scenario is filming a solo during a casting session which has a much lower chance of getting attention from directors and production companies?
I have no interest in producing my own content and starting a production company or a website, I only want work in front of the camera.
Thanks for your feedback and insight.

^ Post an ad on craiglist inviting ten or twelve guys come over to your house and film you jerking off. Report back and let us know how you do. I'm dead serious by the way.

Start off in Gay porn, pays more. "Gay For Pay". After you can prove you can cum on guys, you can cum on girls or cum on anything. Ask Danny D.
An easy ticket is if you have a very hot girlfriend who wants to get into porn and the studios go gaga over her and she agrees to only work with you, your a shoe in.

As much as I appreciate replies I'd like to hear from industry insiders who have experience in this industry. Some specific advice like which companies to go for, which directors/photographers to contact and so on would be great.

If you don't want to make your own content, you got to find a girl to enter together. Anything else will leave you running in circles. No companies other than someone doing a shitty bukkake scene are going to take a guy off the street.
You can contact every company and producer out there; you will get a similar response. They get an endless trail of emails and photos from guys just like yourself; what other response do you expect?
Also, being a male performer (without any producing of your own content) is not glamorous. You don't get paid a lot and most of these guys are couch surfing or rooming with one another living from scene to scene. Guys in porn doing over 1000 scenes are broke. You spend the money as fast as you get it as there is so much temptation to go out and party and drink and fuck and do drugs and so on and so on. Girls will fuck you for the novelty but you will have a hard time finding a woman who can give you a long term relationship that lasts.
This message forum is pretty dialed in, whether we are in the industry or just fans..... the advice you are getting here is real. No one will be able to say "call Joe at XXX company" to get you work... other than making it up

PS - the "Gay for pay" route does work. You can certainly consider that but you have to be able to handle it. You also need to be able to accept having sex with guys who may, and often will, have HIV. Yeah, you can do condom scenes but mentally that can be a challenge knowing that the guy who is shooting his cum on you might have it. or the mental stress of doing a scene worrying about a condom breaking (which will happen more than you think).

you have to move to either Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or Miami - if you don't live in or within driving distance to those 3 cities then its pointless to even go on from there.
no one is going to pay for your flight, your bus fare, or your gas money to get to LA or Miami either.
no one is going to guarantee you work before you move to one of those cities either.
Once you live in one of those cities then you can talk about getting into porno.

Be wary of taking advice from people who have been blackballed from all the well known studios and web sites, due to various behavior and social patterns. Getting blackballed from the depths of porn is no easy task.

Thanks for the reply. I know it's not the same for guys as it is for women who want to break into this industry no one is paying for guys to come anywhere and promise them any work. I'm totally fine with that.
I split my time between New York and Los Angeles. For someone who lives in LA, what would be a good first step to take?
Thanks
