It's more economic of course but, depending on the site, you are at the mercy of their release schedule. In Jules's case, it's practically non-existent .

I have here 4 different places, three of them carry all the newest products, starting at 0.75€ a title (depends on the number of discs you take) and up to 3.50 (the most expensive one). If I wait some weeks, I can get all the productions I’m interested in from last month or so for around 10€, that’s lower that the 30$ or so membership fee per month (of course, with that you'd get the entire back catalogue, but simply keeping up to date DVD is still in a competing price range). If one doesn't mind the SD resolution against the HD resolution online, that is.

^ I'm based in the UK so paying import prices on DVD's from the US is a no go for me. As for rentals, I like to keep the scene permanently rather than have it temporarily.
