I hope I don't get flamed to death over this but people seem open minded on this board. I've always considered myself to be heterosexual but lately I've been fantasizing about what it would be like to give a guy oral sex. I'm not sure if I would like it or not but I've just been having these fantasies run through my mind. Can this happen to otherwise straight guys? The thought of anal sex with a man still disgusts me though. Is it possible to be "partially gay"? I live in a small red neck town so this isn't something I can talk to anyone about. Are there gays that only have oral sex? I'd like to hear if there are others like me.

Smallone,

I personally don't share your feelings on the matter, but I'm really glad you decided to post about it on the board. I can say with some confidence that it is very unlikely you'll get flamed for it on this board, and you might find people that have some interesting things to say. If you do get flamed, I apologize in advance, but please know that that sentiment is not representative of most of the people here.

I can say, however, that my wife often feels this way about women. She's never acted on it, but has had the opportunity in the past. She's always been curious, and I expect that that's part of the reason she enjoys watching some adult movies with me--because she can appreciate the women.

Anyway, I hope you continue to post, and I'm sure that there will be people here that have some interesting things to say on the subject. I know there are several gay members that might have some unique insight as well.

A gay relative mentioned that he had lived with his partner for a number of months before they even tried anal sex. It is not a major part of their sex life. A friend who is straight and married has said that he will accept a bj from a man; his comment "Who cares if it's a guy, it's a BLOWJOB!"

Smallone,

Welcome.

Of course it can. Curiosity can drive some people to try things, and others will be satisfied with just remaining curious, but not taking the step to try something.

Regarding oral and/or anal sex, I’m putting a link here to a thread where anal sex was discussed previously. About the 11th posting in the thread was by GaySatyr (an ADT member that posts regularly) commented that most gay men think that anal sex is weird, and that a large number of gays do not have anal sex.

I had to chuckle at your comment about “partially gay”. That almost sounded like “a little bit pregnant” I’ve heard heterosexual, gay, and bisexual, but not “partially”. (Please don’t take it personal, I just found it humorous.)

I consider myself a straight man, but I'll admit that I sometimes fantasize about oral sex with a man. In fact, I have actually done it a few times. Like you, I have no desire for anything else. No kissing, no touching, no anal. I just enjoy giving head.

I don't mind if someone labels me as bisexual, but I still consider myself straight. I prefer women - in my relationships, in my bed, & in my porn.

Anyway, the point is not too worry about what others think. Feel free to explore. Just be smart & safe.

smallone - i have received emails from a few people looking for gay dvds with only oral sex. i'm sure it's a common fantasy.

modern society likes to be able to categorize/label/contain. but that's not how nature works, that's not how humans work.

About that redneck-small-town thing: you might not want to piss in your own swimming pool, at least to start with. Meeting people at a campground who are just passing through, or going to a nearby town might be the best way to get your feet wet. At least until you can tell for sure which guys are really eyeing your package.

Steph, I've come up with a few examples or gay oral-only DVDs, if it helps:

Oral Exams
Lickity Split
Blow Me 1 and 2

Hmm, I guess that's all I could find. Catalina makes a number of all-oral flicks, but none are on DVD yet.

Thanks for the posts. I've been thinking about trying out an "escort" from the nearest large city. That way nobody I know will find out and if I don't like it I won't have to worry about some guy calling me up later asking for more. There's no way I could try anything in this small hill- billy town. That type of thing doesn't stay a secret for long.

The funny thing is that I've always thought I'd be good at giving head to a guy. I was friends with a gay guy in college, he looked like George Michael and I like George Michael, but I just couldn't imagine blowing his hairy ass. Let's face it, guys aren't that attactive naked (except for bodybuilders). I think I could give good head to a guy for one reason, I like to do things well and head is one of those things that is often done poorly.

interesting thread! how did i miss this one
anyways i will drop in my two cents, i have a friend whos bisexual and he claims he did it outta curiosity and beer ofcourse and kinda enjoyed it, now hes into it i dont blame him, to him it probably gives him more pleasure but i do know a few other guys who fantasize about it and imagine how it would be like.
i am certainly NOT one of those and i cant imagine myself into but thats just me..my ex used to praise women and me and her friends would ask her occassionally if she was a biseexual..but thats just the way she was, she liked female asses..not to mention she had a gr8 one too but now when i think of it it makes more sense.
we are humans and humans have desires and some of them involve our own sex. not trying to conclude that everyone should try to pursue.
think its perfectly normal for you.

Smallone,

I find it very interesting that you and I are in exactly the same boat, even down to the red-neck town. I know that if my wife ever found out that I had these musings she would freak out. I have had several gay and bi friends, but I never had the guts to act on my curiosity. I also never had the heart to try something sexual without my wife involved. I'm not sure what it would be like after satisfying the curiosity, but I know that I'm comfortable just being bi-curious and not bi-sexual. I think that the escort experiment would be selling yourself short because the setting would not be a natural one.

That's my two cents.

Bump, bump.

Another lost thread,
Resurrected from the dead.

(Maybe it's that Passover/Easter thing.)

Whose Doing What with Whom (and what they are thinking about doing)
Fact, Fantasy and Reality

The following information has been compiled from a number of sources, including scientific surveys, popular polls and professional authorities. The results are based on studies taken within the United States.

Facts:

The average person first has sex at 16-17 years old.

60% to 70% of woman masturbate or have masturbated, compared to about 95% of men.

The majority of married people masturbate, both men and women, but often conceal this from their partner.

Most woman do not have a preference for penis size. The length of the average man's erect penis is 5-7 inches.

Women are much more concerned about breast size than men are.

30% to 40% of woman have had anal intercourse.

30% to 40% of men have been sexually unfaithful to their wives.

25% to 33% of men have had a sexual experience with another male.

Around half of college educated women and 20% of non-college educated women have had a same-sex experience.

8% of males have had same-sex partners for 3 years.

4% of men are exclusively homosexual, compared to 2-3% of women.

Fantasy:

Fantasies between men and women don't differ that much. Women's fantasies tend to be more elaborate sequences, where men's fantasies are more focused on specific things. Here are some of the most common fantasies for both men and women.

1. Sex with someone other than your partner.
2. Being forced to have sex, or forcing someone to have sex against their will.
3. Group sex.
4. Having sex with a member of the same sex.
5. Watching members of the opposite sex have sex together.

Fantasies about same-sex activities are among the most common fantasies revealed by heterosexual men.

Same-sex fantasy is also quite common in women. One popular poll reported more than a quarter of women responding think about it often.

I have to say that I too have had very similar interests. The penis is just very intriguing. It may have to do with the fact that I can relate to the feelings that the guy must be experiencing. I can say that my infatuation is with the penis and not the man. Men are rather disgusting and unappealing to me, but I have often thought that it might be fun to have another penis to play with. One thing you might consider exploring is the shemale genre. Its kinda strange, and I am still not very comfortable with being into it, but it is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for. Its a woman with a dick! She can be on top of you or you can be on top of her or you can give a blowjob and all of this comes in the form of an attractive "female". If you are interested, check out some of the Rogue Adventures series. They are great.

Tommi Rose Fan - why are you abnormal, or do you mean a normal guy?

-lunacy- The hard statistics are from the Kinsey Institute New Report on Sex.

Wow! - The qualifying factor for a 'sexual experience with another male' was 'to orgasm.' This would include adolescent jerk off your buddy stuff, which most straight males pass off as childhood experimentation. (I wonder what happened to that kid in the eighth grade, anyway?)

Huh - surprised? I spent my entire Army tour of duty in Germany hanging out with the gay crowd. I saw women on the side, and the local (legal) brothel got some of my business.

Huh again - I can say that 4 out of the approximately 100 guys in my unit were exclusively gay. This agrees with the statistic.

I'll have to chime in and say that I share the same sentiment. I don't find men attractive in any way at all, and am turned off at the thought of being with "a man". I consider myself to be straight. However, I do get quite turned on by an erect penis. In close up sex scenes, I will frequently pay as much attention to the male genitalia (and think about oral sex) as I will to the female. If the penis could be detached from its male owner, things would be good. So, like the above, I also find the shemale genre appealing. (Although I've yet to actually buy any such DVD and, if I did, it would be one that was predominately shemales and women.)

One other interesting observation here is that something else related also does it for me: bisexual MMF scenes. Again, I've seen no such movie, but I find the still images a turn on. The involvement of the woman seems to, somehow, "disband" many of my intuitive negative reactions to just two guys alone.

Sometimes I think I must be abnormal, and I've discussed this privately with friends both online and in person. I've even been called "small minded" after revealing that I simply don't find men attractive at all. I find Nacho and Toni Ribas and others to be good looking, and I have no trouble admitting that, but the thought of getting into any sort of sexual situation with them, or of blowing any guy, makes me cringe. So does watching tranny scenes, they simply kill my wood.

I don't say the above to be at all judgmental. I don't think gay or bi activity is at all offensive or wrong. And sales figures show that tranny movies have a big audience, for whatever that really indicates (that's a different discussion). I think there is a lot of male-male curiosity out there, and many people would lead happier lives if bi and homosexuality were not so stigmatized. I do think that at present it is easier, and more accepted for women to express an interest in other women. FWIW, I don't really like watching girl-girl scenes in porn, and I can basically take it or leave it if girls fool around with other girls in scenes that also include guys. So I'm not at all trying to suggest that lesbianism is fine, while male gayness is bad.

Rob Hammer's list helped convince me that I'M the odd one, not most others. I didn't have sex until I was over 20 (I am in the 95% of masturbators ;-)), I've never cheated on my girlfriends, and other than having fantasies about countless different women, I don't fantsize about subjects 2-5 on his list. My fantasies are generally fully consensual sex with one woman, and occasionally a second woman is involved, perhaps sitting on my face as the other rides me. But if there are two women, they are into ME, not each other.

I mention all this because, as I have already indicated, I think I may be somewhat abnormal in personal sexual taste, and this intrigues me, as it may help explain why my taste in porn seems to differ from that of many other viewers. This is a very good topic we have going here, and I'm glad the thread has been kept alive!

I dont think there is anything wrong with being curious, or acting on those curiosities. I am straight, but the thought has popped into my head before. I would never act on it, because I am sure that I would throw up, but thats just for me. Not to say that gay stuff is repulsive, just that there is no way I could ever act on something like that. Be proud.
