Custom scenes are expensive, but still what consumers want is to see a scene with their favorite performers and deciding for the content of the scene.
So I wonder: Is it a bad idea for big studios like Brazzers, or Naughty America, Bangbros, to allow those who buy a membership for a year or more to decide performers and content for a scene? With certain limits obviously, I mean it would be absurd to pretend a orgy with 30 performers, but maybe a normal boy girl scene for a year or a threesome for two years could be reasonable. All those companies probably have thousands of subscribers on annual+ memberships. You do the math whether or not it would be a good idea to give those people the power to decide what gets produced.
actually Brazzers did something like that in the past. Not exactly what I'm saying, but on their forum before it was closed they realized ideas and requests. And actually with their new forum I have the impression they are doing the same again. So maybe it's just me, but instead of paying for a month I would more than happy to subscribe for a year or two if I could decide for a custom scene, a custom scene that they could release in any case making money on it.
^ Soliciting feedback along the lines of "suggest a scenario, and if we like it we'll shoot it" is far different from the contract-type deal you were proposing.

see it this way. Let's say that a site offers a month for 30 dollars, 3 months for 60 and one year for 120. Maybe those who are paying 120 could choose the performers for a scene. Or they could offer that in another option for I don't know, let's say 150-200 dollars? A year of subscription and the possibility to decide the perfomers for a scene. Hey, maybe I would not pay the full cost of a custom scene that would cost a lot more, but like that the site could still sell the scene, and maybe getting the money of those interested. It's just an idea, I'm not sure if there would be a convenience for a site to do that, but maybe there is and I'm sure a lot of people would be interested.
^ Yeah, maybe. But the site would have to provide a list of actors who are available and who's willing to do what which might logistically be unworkable.
^ Not just logistically, also from a customer satisfaction / avoiding bad PR angle. One just needs to look at what people are requesting here on ADT - scenes with performers who are located on different continents, scenes with performers retired years ago, scenes with acts performers aren't anywhere near willing to do, scenes with extremely limited niche appeal... I'd bet that if, say, Brazzers offered 100 high-priced subscription packages allowing users to outline the specifics of a scene, well over half would prove to be either impossible to realize or commercial suicide. And at that point they would be left with 50+ very angry and probably also very motivated-to-complain customers, given that these people were ready to commit a significant amount of money to this endeavour in the first place. TL;DR It's rarely a good idea for a mainstream company to pander to its potentially most fanatical customers. The financial upsides aren't large enough to risk the downsides of what those people are capable of doing when they're not feeling satisfied.
yes, I see your argument. But I think that considering that usually custom scenes are requested with an exchange of mails I don't think it could be that bad. A customer asks for a scene with a retired pornstar? Reply: sorry she doesn't work anymore. Another one asks for an anal scene for a girl who doesn't do anal? Reply: sorry she doesn't do anal. That's what small companies do for custom scenes for what I've seen, so I don't think it would be an insurmountable problem.

I don't think you could have members specifically controlling what the content is, even if just a few scenes here and there. But, I think it's a solid idea for a company like Brazzers, PornPros, etc., to poll and solicit feedback from their longer term membership base - as opposed to the people that sign up for just 30 days and move on.
^ Always thought more polling and scene picking would make memberships more enticing - just an extra incentive & it adds extra euphoria knowing you helped pick said scene(s). There are plenty of talented males & females that watch porn / have memberships that would be happy to offer basic scripts to help get their fav performers in more bookings & in their "dream scene" / scenarios. You could easily have a location selector (locations they use often), makeup selector (based on previous works of their popular makeup artists) and agents usually notify companies when they have popular performers available etc. Costumes would be an easy one, Amazon has a huge collection of stuff + most companies would have lots of lingerie and other outfits. Just a matter of implementation and doing it properly. You could easily incorporate said feature as a "VIP" option so those that buy $9.99/m have to buy another $9.99/m to even suggest.
