Big Upsets for Shyla Stylez, Alexis Texas, Gianna Michaels, Andi Anderson, and KELLY DEVINE Glad To See Jenna haze, Kristina Rose, and Bobbi Starr, but come on AVN people... to put Andi and Kelly on an ussung list... basically meaning not good enough to make the female performer list, which luck lady is going to be excited about wining that??? Kelly, Andi, and Shyla definatley got robbed, and I think this is actually the second year in a row for Shyla... damn shame, Shyla has put hot scene after hot scene and I don't think she even got any sex noms either If they want to get it right make Kristina Rose your performer of the Year!! Also, Webster's Dictionary defines the word upset as "an unexpected defeat", for example, "Cytherea upset Teagan Presley for Best New Starlet in 2004." Since the awards show doesn't take place until January 9, 2010 there can't be "Big Upsets for Shyla Stylez, Alexis Texas, Gianna Michaels, Andi Anderson and Kelly Divine." I know what you mean but you need to find another word. Besides...isn't there already a thread in the Porn Pool for all the pissing, bitching, griping and moaning about the AVN Awards nominations? She is a beautiful black actress and has been in some of the biggest selling movies of the past year including Not the Cosbys XXX. If you don't know about that movie, it is possible you don't know about some other movies that sell really well like Not the Bradys XXX, Not Bewitched XXX, Not Married with Children XXX and another Misty movie Flight Attendants. I know how difficult the retail business is for adult stores these days and I really want to see you and other retail businesses stay afloat, so I hope that you stock your store shelves with these and other top-selling movies. Comedy and parody are the biggest selling DVDs according to other retailers so I hope you do well and sell a ton. If you do, you will certainly know who Misty Stone is. Despite performing in such high quality releases like Buttwoman Returns and Ass Worship 11, Alexis Texas is not been nominated. I guess, the reason may be the lack of passion she she often shows in her scenes. It is also negative for her always pairing with Mr.Pete. If I would be the selective, she will be in my list however I do not consider her as a big defect. [Link] |

As a director yes but as a performer no. The nomination is a way to show that she is still important to the industry but winning isn’t something that we see happening this year now last year maybe. Lexi Belle- Last years WTF nomination for best new starlet gets a nom for POF so its easy to see that someone at AVN likes this girl but once again with no Anal or IR and she hasn’t been the lead in any feature film. She puts on a good scene but hasn’t really been matched with anyone who gives her the chemistry we know she can pull off- a solid girl but not POY. Misty Stone- One of the best Black Female Performers in the industry. This girl has stood out in some great films this year. But not to the point to win POT. An before you start hitting me with your how could you be so racist comments- Misty dosen’t do Anal did almost no group scenes and dosent have the star stand out looks of some other performs in and out side of this category black or white. So her winning it wont happen. The contract girls- AKA the company nod. Many of us think that AVN gives noms/awards to girls who shouldn’t get them to keep the big companies happy – there really should be a separate category called best contract performer Ashlynn Brooke/ Jesse Jane/ Kayden Kross/ Jenna Haze Ashlynn had a good( not great year) no big stand outs – no IR and in her features is usually second to who ever else is in the movie- Tori Black, Kagney Lynn Carter, and Andi Sand Demus gave hotter scenes in movies she was supposed to be the star of. (why is she a contract girl again? Jesse Jane- is the love of my life but once again this wasn’t her year and she had little to no stand out performances( other then her msnbc interview) no anal and no ir( it wont happen!) – but you shouldn’t give her an award just for showing up this isn’t 3rd grade Jenna Haze- should get an award for directing. Her performances didn’t get any better or worse this year, but then again she worked more the last 3 years then she did this year. Kayden Kross- IF SHE WINS EXCEPT A KANYE!!! This girl is loved and well liked but again no anal no ir – She just doesn’t have the it factor in porn- Kayden is a great performer and is smoking hot-but isn’t the type of porn star who you see and say to yourself if shes in movie I’m renting it or buying like other girls including Bree Olson, and when she is in a film much like Ashlynn Brookes her scenes are easy forgotten about next to some other non contact girl. But with the move from Adam and Eve to DP the award could be hers just cause AVN needs to keep DP happy. Plus she is co-hosting the awards( a little fishy if you ask me) BTY Kayden the 8th day SUCKED BALLS and not in a good way. THE DIRTY GIRLS: Dana DeArmond/ Bobbi Starr/ Amber Rayne All these girls are ok. They all give good energy during scenes but once again nothing across the board. Many of their scenes are freak show porn and almost little to no feature work. Bobbi the prettiest of the 3 but didn’t do anything that most porn viewers would watch alone or with the wife, but would watch during the frat party playing in the back ground during keg stands. Dana is sweet but times seems like she is in another world in scenes and Amber nod’s seems like it was given to her cause some one has been watching her past work – Her best year was 2 years ago not 2009! With many of their scenes being too rough or too crazy with one party in the scene either them or the male talent looking as if half way through the scene like what have I gotten myself into. Seeing any of these girls win would just be sad for the industry and I wouldn’t put my money on any of them taking home the award. The WTF noms- Chayse Evens/ Nikki Rhodes/ Ann Marie Rios Chayse Evans- No idea how or why they got a noms-no Anal or IR in some or most cases and almost no feature work-Tho these girls are hot and give good scenes none of them are stand out performers compared to some of the others- Chayse bloomed later in the year and had great scenes on many internet sites – see her scene on (Blacksonblondes) but once again with her look and energy and lack of chemisty ,they all are good just not good enough. Nikki Rhodes is a cute but not a superstar no IR and last year was a great year for her …but what was she in this year? Ann Marie Rios…who is she? I have to say this was the only girl I honestly didn’t know, I watched a few scenes and thought wow she isn’t real that pretty – anal is ok no ir – she has a nice website and is co owner of a modeling agency so maybe the nom is a way to get her to keep bring girls by the AVN offices, Hate to say it but there isn’t anything really special about these girls compared to some girls in the industry that didn’t get a nominate like Shawna Lenne, Alexis Texis ect… The front runners- Tori Black vs Kristina Rose- this is a hard one Both of these girls are the yin/yang of porn. 2 superstars that are the best at what they do. Kristina the cute/dirty home girl or Tori the stunning porno supermodel Kristina – I really like her – I wouldn’t kick her outa bed. She is a solid performer but her down fall is no IR and scenes that are solid 9 or 10 when with Manual Ferara but 7.5 with everyone else. Her highlight this year was her first DP and the Slutwoman DVD along with her role in the Seinfeld Parody...but that’s about it. She didn’t really have much other then that. A fan fav- could win but I’m sad to say she just didn’t out shine Tori Black Tori – Should win – but may fall a victim to porno politics- Watching her movies with my wife, my friends or alone hell she was almost in EVERY FUCK MOVIE I WATCHED THIS YEAR – I thought wow why is she not a contract girl! This girl looks and acts like a star, stole the movies from contract stars and does IR and topped it of with her first Anal. Her interactive and her breakout film Tori Blacks Pretty Filthy weren’t just big hits for her but where some of the best dvd’s out all year. Plus she was robbed last year for Best New Starlet. I just ran into the president of that PR firm at the KISS concert at the Staples Center the other night and I told him I was a porn movie director and he put his arm on my shoulder and told me how proud he was of me.
