There are going to be different reactions to this one. For instance, from Bono's review we know that he absolutely loved the low-angle shot used by H. for the cowgirl positions whereas in this thread p_ramezap has pointed to that angle as one he had issues with. However, p_ramezap liked the music in the background of the scenes whereas Masamune didn't seem too fond of it (same for me). Plus, the bulk of my review is spent exploring the camera angles and editing in the film whereas Masamune barely references it and Bono in fact makes no mention of the editing. It's all subjective. I won't rent or buy anything directed by William H. (I do feel bad that I failed to mention his co-editor, Dick Wadd, in my review) in the future whereas others might feel even more compelled to seek out his work after seeing BWA 7.

The following applies if William H's/Dick Wadd's editing was a stylistic choice instead of a means to cover-up scenes that didn't go well: While I appreciate attempting to rise above the point-and-film dynamic that is so prevelant in today's industry, William goes overboard I think. He attempts to create heat via kinetic editing, but while the style he's fighting smacks of laziness the one he's utilizing rubs me as being overly-manipulative. There was one time-compression sequence that I did find interesting though. It was during doggy anal with Georgia and Sascha when he cuts 3 times from the same angle (her head changes position each time I think) to connotate this feeling that the two of them fucked like that forever. However, how do I know that it wasn't done just because Sascha couldn't pop and he kept having to go at it which made the scene drag on forever? Through this forum, I can find out. As a random consumer, I can't.

There is a certain beauty to that can be achieved with the minimalism of point-and-film. Just look at Buttman's Ass Adoro. However, the counter-argument can be made with the example of Ed Powers. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I can't think of such a comparison because whether it's Big Wet Asses 7 or one of the latest installments of Hustler's Young Latin Girls or even one of Cash Markman's Hawaii based films for Surfer Pictures, misused editing by way of being overused gets me everytime. This is not to say that I blindly see film editing and think foul because if that were the case I would have to hate all pornos not to mention other realms of film. Plus, I've seen pornos with heavy editing that utilize the function erotically, though the first one that comes to mind is a Chuck Vincent film so it's an unfair comparison. It's just that when editing is what I notice the most in porn, I'm going to be turned off.

Unfortunately I started out by watching the Georgia Peach scene first. I love Georgia but that scene was a total mess. The mood was unfortunately ruined from there.

Frankly, I don't understand the concept of this movie.

It has no ass worship: The camera angles restrict your view on the girl's body. There's hardly any teasing. There's no rubbing and caressing the oiled up asses.

There's no slippery wet sex: The oil is quickly absorbed into the body and forms into a white waxy substance while fucking.

Also, this movie has a really claustrophobic feel to it. The same tight shots from the same couch with the same background.

I really liked some of Zupko's early stuff (Days of Whore), but I felt he could have done better with this series. I've only seen #4 and I'm waiting for #7 to arrive, but I think he should have had the actors apply the oil by hand, rather than the noisy sprayer. In the future, don't just follow in Zupko's footsteps, but make this your own series. I believe there is a lot of potential for this series to be one of the best. I loves me some oiled-up asses! Naomi's scene, and this movie, did not live up to the hype for me.

I like Flower and Georgia a lot, but I've seen much more enjoyable things from them in the recent past. And as hot and beautiful as she is, I've seen about twenty Naomi scenes in the past six months, so maybe I'm getting a little sated on her.

This series was good when it was new to me, (although I didn't really like the editing and frenetic style then, either), "BWA 3" and "BWA 4" had great casts, but since then the casting hasn't really excited me. I liked this cast, but the sparks just weren't there.
