I guess everything is being released now due to the AVN awards but there are a LOT of very big studio releases that have just been released or will be released very soon.

Digital Playground: Island Fever 4

Club Jenna: The Provocateur

Evil Angel: The Fashionistas: Safado: The Challenge

Adam & Eve: O: The Power of Submission

Private: Porn Wars

I'm probably missing some others.

They occasionally have these "perfect storm" moments in the music or movie industry. Three or four really (expected to be) big releases come out on the same day.

Now, I guess you can look at this two ways:

1.) Since most of these are at least two-disc releases, with a limited consumer spending budget, there isn't room for all of these. While a couple will do well, most will get lost in the suffle.

OR

2.) Watching a big-budget adult film will allow the viewer (and consumer) to appreciate the quality and make them want to purchase or rent MORE big-budget adult films. Enjoying "Emperor" will make them want to try "Island Fever 4." Watching "O: The Power of Submission" could make a couple want to try out "The Fashionistas: Safado: The Challenge."

Does anyone think that it would be better if these releases were spaced out more? While something like "The Fashionistas: Safado: The Challenge" was JUST finished, I know "Emperor" could have been released LAST year at this time. For all the time and money spent on some of these films, it's a shame that some may be ignored if a 800-pound gorilla develops much like "Pirates" did with some big studio releases last year.
