A lot of girls get the 3 month shot, some use the patches or are on the pill. You would be surprised how many girls are not on any kind of birth control at all. I'm on the pill since I'm 16.

Some unsolicited medical advice for any girls that want to listen: Avoid the shot (depoprevara) if at all possible. If you are an adult that can remember to take your daily pill, do so and avoid the shot. Why? Because in a relatively small number of women it causes enormously increased appetite, mood swings, and weight gain. These can all occur in different proportions as far as I know. I've only got a little bit of first hand experience and it was extremely dramatic. A friend of mine put on nearly +50% of her body weight due to the shot. She tried extremely hard to lose the weight with aggressive exercise, but nothing but time really helped. Her careful diet sped the process up, but she just had to wait for her body to process the hormones until she could be normal again.

Disclaimers: This advice is worth what you paid for it. Dr. Porno is a doctor of porno only and holds no medical degree. He doesn't even play a doctor on TV! I have an isolated experience I'm drawing this from. It's real, but it doesn't mean it happens to everyone. Something to think about for any woman contemplating this choice.

Well i have to say it is rather silly not to be on any birthcontrol if you are going to be have sex without a condom in porn. You can say what you want but SURELY that is not how you want to bring a child into this world [by accident](especially if you do creampie scenes!).

O and on DrP0rn0's comments ...

Unfortunately both the pill and the shot can have side effects.

It's surprising more porn chicks don't get pregnant for lucrative pregnant/lactation movies - don't they pay much better than regular stuff?

I had firsthand experience with the depo (girlfriend at the time was getting it). The first three months everything was fine, but for the next six she put on at least 25 pounds and pretty much lost her sex drive almost overnight. It's a huge shot of hormones all at once as opposed to a steady but smaller dose in the pill, and no way can that be good for a woman's body. I've heard IUD's are pretty good...
