I frequent a large POV website (don't judge, I'm paying for it). Weekly they post the 10 "Most-Watched" films. This week for the first time a truly bisexual film made the list, "Wanna Fuck My Wife Gotta Fuck Me Too 2."
In addition "Forced Bi Cuckolds 4" was on the list. Each time the site adds a new volume from this series it ends up on the list.
Also, "The Next She-male Idol" is on the list. Three out of the top 10 "Most-Watched" are basically bisexual films!
Does this mean that bisexual films are becoming mainstream? Is it becoming a cultural norm for men to be bi like it is for women?

I've known many bisexuals and they were all gay.

I sure hope so - all this stringent categorization is a real bore. I resent having to go to two different areas of the same website to find what I'm looking for, amongst other, more "cultural" concerns.

Known in the biblical sense?
I don't see why bisexual stuff isn't more commonplace.

Because it won't sell.
Contrary to media rants and raves, very few men are bisexual.

Tough call. If you had a video with a guy doing a girl doggy style, anal, and making her answer to the name "Steve," some folks would say it's gay porn. On the other hand, a lot of supposedly straight men will tell you that watching transsexual porn isn't gay. Then, there's Mark Davis chugging his own sperm on camera in a title aimed at straight men. All in all, it's a disturbing world out there right now.

Back in the 70s and 80s, bisexual porn was more accepted and many major stars of the era did bisexual porn (Stacey Donovan, Shanna McCullough, Jeannie Pepper, Cara Lott, Nina Hartley, Samantha Strong, Sharon Kane, Sharon Mitchell, Tasha Voux, and Maria Tortuga come to mind right off the top of my head).

Gay... straight... bi... It's the 21st Century... Time to move beyond such myopic distinctions.

Which is why so many "straight" men come so unglued if they so much as see another naked man. Well, it's not really that bad. They're OK as long as they only have to see a honkin' closeup of his dick 90% of the time. But if they see his face, that's it! It's too gay! And heaven forbid the dude jerks off for a few seconds.....because that reminds them that they're all alone jackin' off while they watch closeups of another man's cock and flopping nutsack. It's hard enough to ignore the fact that his penis wrinkles look like some kind of mountainous terrain on that 50" Penisvision but when you see his orgasm face, the cold, hard reality of it all just hits you in the face like a big gob of sperm.

Yup - getting so worked up about it, and even having separate categories (so you're "straight" porn isn't contaminated by the movie sitting next to it), just screams insecurity. It begs the question, what are you so afraid of?

It will never happen but maybe the people that frequent your site are particulary interested in that genre, it doesnt mean its accepted in general. I would suggest if companies started including bi scenes their marketability and sales would fall dramatically. The main market for porn is straight guys who just want to jerk off, plain and simple.

How do the sales stack up against straight movies of a similar quality, etc. (i.e., by the same company)?
This would be interesting to know.

I can't recall one out and out bi-sex movie from the 1970's. Maybe one whose name escapes me. If you can provide other titles it would be appreciated.
Bi-sex (as well as all-black, she-male) movies started to roll out around the mid-to late 1980's.
In some-many bi-sex movies, some females only performed with females, and some straight male actors only performed with females. Calling them bi-sex scenes or bi-sex movies was sometimes rather dubious and duplicitous. As it did not always feature 1female/2 gay males, 2 female/2 gay males or that type of combination where the males were also having some sexual contact, they were hardly bi-sex movies in the true sense..

I like bisexual movies and I hope this genre gets bigger and bigger. I've watched guy on guy movies and it really turned me off but 2 guys and a girl is a big turn on for me. I hope bigger female star do bisexual movies and this genre becomes more normal to watch.

You make a great point, but I thought aebn.net and pornpayperview.com were two of the bigger VOD sites. I could be mistaken.
I'm not at all suggesting that it should be slipped in to strictly "hetero" porn. If you buy "Forced Bi Cuckolds" you know what you're getting into. I'm thinking more along the lines of "hetero" porn and "lesbian" porn for men have run out of ideas. Bi porn may be the next frontier, and maybe more people are ready for that than we realize.

They are.
There's already so much stuff out there that if people aren't comfortable with it they can simply fast foward. Some people don't like interracial, some don't like circus acts--just take a look at the 'shit in porn you don't understand' thread for more examples--so I don't see why this should be any different.

I've noticed that Shemale titles are often bestsellers on other VOD sites too, like monstermovies.com

Also didn't someone who posts here who works in a porn store (Padoga?) say that Shemale titles were among the best renters?
I wouldn't really consider Shemale titles bisexual per se, more kinky or perverted (without the usual negative connotations that term carries).
I don't care for Shemales myself, but find the negative comments that they always produce on this forum to be annoying. Often the same posters who rant and rave about shemales are the same demanding anal in every scene or into rough sex, you'd think they'd be more tolerant of 'deviant' sexuality.

Agreed. I also don't particularly care for shemales myself, but I know that Belladonna featured a shemale scene on one of her Fetish Fanatics discs and that didn't deter me from checking it out.
Especially in the age of DVD and digital where you can just skip over the parts you don't like, I don't see why it should be an issue.
Producers shouldn't be afraid that the gaybomb will blow away their audience.

I am fully tolerant of any and all sexuality and I am not the least bit homophobic, but I really have no interest in seeing guy on guy action in my porn.

This is hillarious.
So if we dont like it we can simply skip it, get real. If people saw one bi scene snapshot on the back cover that would automatically turn them off, lost sale. I'm not saying everyone, but it would be to the majority. You buy a dvd as a package or collection scenes, people dont buy dvds to skip scenes. Porn is not a moral compass for society, its role is not to changes peoples values and make people more accepting. The day that a porn dvd is made up of bi and straight scenes is the day I stop buying porn. Another thing, I doubt any of the top straight producers would ever consider it.

Who said anything about gay scenes in 'straight' porn? You and your fellow posters are tipping at windmills. Do you think the people renting "The Next She-male Idol" are surprised when they see a chick-with-a-dick in it?

Its not a chick with a dick, its a guy with a dick. Shemales are males.
My response was not with current porn but with ma meeshka's response which seemed to imply that more bi sex should be included in current porn and that we could simply fast forward if we dont like it. Its more hypothetical than anything.

What a brilliant insight. I've never heard that before.
Once again, whenever trannies come up someone feels the need to derail with a debate on whether or not they are 'really' guys or girls. Why do you give a shit what they consider themselves if you aren't watching them or fucking them?

BTW 'chicks with dicks' is a reference to Clerks, but your humourless focus on a jokey phrase that actual trannies would never use to describe themselves is revealing about your actual concerns. Even on a porn forum we have some self-appointed perversion police.

Yawn.
Funny how some people know *for a fact* what "consumers" (worldwide, of all persuasions, apparently) will or will not buy. Aside from the fact that most people hide behind categories, even if they want to explore their sexuality, the idea that what exists now satisfies "the consumer" is ridiculous - every week there's a new thread on here about what people hate in porn, why it's a dying industry, what's destroying porn etc. As far as I can tell, no one is saying they're going to force you to watch bi/gay/tranny/queer porn, or that anyone wants to somehow "turn" you by purposefully changing porn - we're talking about how changes are possibly taking place in the genre to reflect possible changes in culture.

I saw a banner for "Wanna Fuck My Wife Gotta Fuck Me Too 3" across the top of ADT this weekend. Apparently you can catch "the gay" here now too.
