The whole thing makes no sense. "Afro-American" doesn't mean black people anyway, ever heard of South Africa? And there are black folks who come from places other then Africa. And white people who are African. Wake up. [o\|]
Either way I have no clue what the original poster is trying to say, except they want to see certain people strip.
EDIT to add:
Steve Nash, the basketball player is an African, is he black?
African-American (or African-Canadian in Steve's case) are meaningless terms when it comes to describing skin color. Nation/continent of origin does not dictate skin color. If you knew a man from Haiti would you call him "Afro-American" just because of his skin color?
If you want to label people please do it accurately.

You jumped the gun on this one, Conquistador. My guess is you've never been to a "black" strip club before so you have no idea what the original poster is talking about. But instead of just politely asking him to clarify, you try to label this as a race issue.
For your information, there are plenty of strip clubs in major cities and down south that have a majority of black dancers and cater
to those men who enjoy seeing sexy black ladies do their thing. The patrons are mostly black gentlemen, but there are also latinos and white guys on hand as well. The white guys who show up are genuinely interested in black girls, because the prospect of going to a mostly black club will scare all but the most devoted caucasians away. Of course these fears are largely unrealized, as these clubs have security like any other strip club and most of the guys there are too busy having fun to worry about messing with other people.
So anyway, kbee's list of pornstars all have certain qualities that appeal to black men in general: Lots of interracial work and ample, shapely, "ghetto" butts.
So he's saying, for instance, that Sara Jay would be a big hit at one of these "black" clubs even though she is white. I totally agree with him, but the truth is -- ANY white girl that dances at a mostly black club will get lots of attention simply because of her novelty. I've been to several of these joints and I know this first hand!!!
To add to this list:
Ryan Conner
Alexis Texas (even though she hasn't done IR, that booty would mesmerize)
Rebecca Linares
Velicity Von
Mika Tan
Delilah Strong
Gianna

Hey, tritone, the word "black" doesn't accurately describe African-Americans. Read my post.

You have said nothing that makes "Afro-American" sound like a smart choice of words, try again.

Look, I'm not a huge fan of the term "African American" either. I am fine with being called negro or black. Its definitely more accurate. Hell, golfer Nick Price is from Zimbabwe. He's African American too, I guess! But like it or not, the use of the word over the years has been synonymous with identifying black people. So I know when kbee uses the term "Afro American", he's just talking about black people.
But you seem to be fixated on this single issue which isn't really what this post is all about. You're taking the thread in another direction.

good topic
take off olivia o lovely and ice la fox......
they are latinas and there are a fair amount of fair skinned Black women who resemble them. They could easily be viewed as "Black"
Sarah Jay for sure....Ryan Conner for sure....because of how they are built....crowds see some white chicks in these clubs sometimes but they have to be thick and not just some novelty act.
The other chicks would have to have good dancing skills to get the attention of the men in the crowd.

"Afro-American" was once a common term used to refer to black Americans; it was the term preferred by many blacks. For example, the "Afro-American" newspapers are still being published today; they were obviously named when the term was more popular. Granted, it has not been a popular term for many years; however, I don't understand why you are derailing this thread. It is not a derogatory term although it is an outdated one. The original poster may be an older individual or an individual from another country; in any event, outrage and personal attacks are not warranted.
Let us not derail this topic further. Mentioning once that "Afro-American" is an antiquated term would have been sufficient.
Of course, I am also derailing the thread with this post. I will stop.

some awkwardness in discussing issues, terms that are not familiar to you is expected sometimes.
lot of racists out there too, but sometimes person just genuinely doesn't know for whatever reason.
I felt this directly when I was hanging out with my cousin and his girl and her friends. They(friends) were from India and I think I unintentionally put my foot in my mouth more than once. Just ignorance on my part. I didn't say any Archie Bunker crap but they could tell that I hadn't been around many Desis before.
If it's not blatant, you give them pass and correct them.

Conquistador speaks Canadian. The majority on this board speak American. Guess he doesn't approve of our slang. The afro in afro american doesn't just refer to africa... it refers to the afro.
Reminds me of when I saw a hair product store for "afro americans" in Paris. The sign outside said afro americans which I thought was funny because I'm sure the majority of blacks in France are French.

Nick Price I believe is to be called an anglo-African, as would any other white person who's from Africa, not African-American, which is obviously a specific phrase meant to be used for a specific group of people.

I think it was a comedian that pointed out that at a white strip club the guys there are mostly turned on by breasts, at a black strip club it's all about the ass. So yeah, a lot of the names mentioned so far would do well because those girls have very nice butts. REAL SEX on HBO once did a show featuring strip clubs. One was a "white" strip club that showcased mostly white dancers and the other was a "black" strip club that had all black dancers. The difference was very noticable. The white strip club was mostly white women thin white women and lots of boob jobs. The black strip club had mostly girls with bigger butts and no boob job in sight. The white girls did slow dances on stage and during lap dances, the black girls shook their asses a hundred miles an hour and were much "nastier" on stage and during their lap dances.
The black strip club was like a big crazy party. The white strip club seemed to have a bunch of guys that seemed almost scared to be there.

off topic:
conquistador: if black people in America want to refer to themselves as "African-Americans" or "Afro-Americans" then why can't you abide by that? What's so hard about that? If a caucasian person of European descent calls himself, Irish-American, Italian-American, German-American, Swedish-American, well you get the picture, then you wouldn't dare argue with that even though that caucasian might have not stepped foot on either of the corresponding nations. This is the same dumb ass argument G. Gordon Liddy tried to make when he was referring that black people were called negro at the turn of the 20th century, then black in the sixties and African American by the 80s & 90s. He then said they didn't know what they wanted to be called. But Liddy didn't mention that black people were called Coons, Sambos, half-breeds and so on. The point is that if someone desires to be called what they want, you don't argue with that you abide by it and not break it down into what you want. One good example is Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Clay and changed his name to Muhummad Ali in 1964. A certain boxer,(Sonny Liston), didn't want to call him MA and continued to disrepect MA by calling him CC. Needless to say Liston got the shit beaten out of him anyway. Analagy or not it's just an example of one person disrespecting another over a name.
on topic: Toni Alessandrini WAS very popular at a black club!

Sickguy,
I was in D.C.at this strip club and it was in the heart of the hood. From the outside, it looked like an abandoned building. When you walk inside, you see the "light", 31 flavors of women in there. Redbones, caramels, super dark skinned, tall, short, big super butts, small bubble butts, whatever your desire. Also, besides the perfect specimens, there was all walks of life of guys, ranging from street pharmacists to two time felons to your public accountants and lawyers. My point is the main reason for going to a strip club is for the awesome females. I forgot who I was surrounded by from all the a$$ walking around. You are safe in an all black shake joint, the last thing we are thinking about is,who is that white guy in here? You there to have a good time just like us, and a matter of fact it was one white dude who brought a dime piece with him. Don't worry about being harmed, because security is tight as a virgin's pussy because of all the felons that be in that mo fo.

Black Americans can call themselves whatever the fuck they want as long as it's reasonably accurate. If they're American and they're of African heritage/origin then it's reasonable that they're labeled as African American.
It doesn't mean that black americans have exclusive ownership of the term. If some white guy who fits both criteria wants to call himself african american, so fucking be it. Some white guy with an afro who has american/african heritage wants to be afro-american, then more power to him.
No point belittling people as idiots if the labels aren't as exclusive as you think it should be.

Too bad this thread got derailed off of it's original topic. We don't live in a perfect world. Conquistador is only pedantic when it comes to black people calling themselves whatever they want and he doesn't agree with it. Mind you I wish we could all be called just Americans and that would be the end of it. But that's an ideal world and we don't live in an ideal world. I notice a lot of people, caucasions in particular, who talk about being just American and then slip up and refer to being Italian-American, Irish-American(*and there are black people from Ireland believe it or not), Swedish-American. People are just referring to their heritage and Im not going to penalize anyone for that. It just has to apply to everybody.

I can't believe you people are going off on the term "Afro-American" instead of the original question. So someone is a bit behind on the latest politically correct verbiage. Lynch him in another forum, please. Yeah, "Afro" refers to anyone whose ancestry is from Africa (including whites, indians, arabs, etc.). Yeah, "American" refers to anyone born in North or South America (Mexico is in America). Very clever. I have a friend in Mexico who used to work for the Rhodesian "special police". He's both African and American, but he's not the guy you'd want checking the "African-American" column on a survey. Oh, when will language behave?
What puzzles me is the context of the post. Is the poster implying that "Black Strip Clubs" don't feature enough non-black performers, and they should? Or is he trying to figure out what non-black performers the patrons of these clubs would enjoy?
I, myself, would like a list of "Black Strip Clubs" and a frequent update on features and porn stars who appear at them. I love to publicize events for black performers. I like them and their affiliate programs convert like crazy.
My favorite traveling strip club is http://www.whoaproductions.com. They throw stripper parties in Manhattan and Brooklyn. These guys are the bomb.
I love being the only white guy in the club. You do get attention.

Clam, let me educate you. There are clubs that hire and feature primarily black girls. These clubs target clientèle that want to see fine, sexy black women. These women are often under-represented at other clubs and enterprising businessmen created these clubs to fill the niche. So yes they do exist, and they are extremely popular with their target customers.
Just as there are black-oriented radio stations, movies and tv shows, there are black-oriented strip clubs. These clubs play R&B and hip-hop instead of rock. The women tend to be curvy or athletic with full round asses, with less emphasis on big boobs. Some of this has already been stated in earlier posts but obviously bears repeating.
Diff'rent strokes my friend. What makes America worth living in. I personally always like seeing white/latino/asian guys having fun at the clubs I go to. I look over and think "There's a guy who knows what he likes and is comfortable in his own skin. Respect." It's actually kind of cool.
To the topic at hand I'd say Georgia Peach, Naomi in her prime, Katja Kassin would all be very well received at these clubs!

Amazing how the (unfounded) apprehension/fear of bordering on P-incorrectness leads people to post nonsense like above.
A black strip club, I guess, is a club that's either owned/run by black people and/or mostly features black strippers. Actually, whatever a black strip club is, to quote the subject "stupid" is nothing short of frightening
Sorry, European point of view...

you guys also notice that the same white people that call black people "African american" are the same ones who call themselves WHITE? Those white people go out of there way to give blacks the special treatment and degrade themselves by calling themselves WHITE instead of Caucasian. They can waste an extra 6 syllables for blacks, but they can't spare just 2 extra syllables to give respect for their own selves by calling themselves caucasian.
Personally if you want me to start calling blacks "African American" I want you to start calling whites "Caucasian." Show fariness! Although I do currently call whites white and blacks black. (At least I don't have a double standard either way)

conquistador: if black people in America want to refer to themselves as "African-Americans" or "Afro-Americans" then why can't you abide by that?
Because there are black people living in the US who are not Americans, Ti say every black person in the US is an "African American" means you are making assumptions about a person you don't know.
WOuld it make sence to call all whites "African American because they might be from South Africa.
Country or origin and heritage does not equal skin color.
This man could be from 1 of 192 countries in the world, why make assumptions that skin color has anything to do with origin.
This man is black so he must be an "African American.
manutebol.jpgCorrections, that man is Manute Bol, an African basketball player.
All black people are Africans and no white people were born in Africa

What are you going on about? No one is talking about your heritage. And no one said the continent of origin is irrelevant when talking about those people.
What the discussion is about is you attempting to tell Blacks what they should call themselves, which is of course nonsensical and also it's about what white south africans should be called. I said they're to be considered anglo africans as the title of African American obviously wouldn't apply to them. And you disagreed.
But then you decided to take the discussion on a tangent talking about your canadian heritage, as if that's pertinent to the matter at hand.

I don't know where you are from exactly Zaer, and I'd hate to argue over this silly topic, but where I'm from, on the west coast, the MAJORITY of black people call themselves black. Those same people call whites white too, so they're not degrading their own race either.

You are mad at him becaus he is (supposedly) telling black people what to call themselves, which is "black." Yet you are saying that whites from south africa should call themselves Anglo Africans. If he is in the wrong, then you are in the same wrong because you two BOTH would be stating what race should call themselves what as if you were the commanders. No offense to either of you though... really.

Well he's not "supposedly" doing anything, he is in point of fact telling another group of people what to call themselves when they've chosen to call themselves something else or something else in addition to Black, when he doesn't even belong to that group.
And on the issue of whites I'm stating what anglos from africa are to be called because that's what they're called.
But, if they want to call themselves african american that's fine, but from what I've observed whites from Africa generally want to be called african american only when they're trying to be sarcastic, they don't really want to be lumped in the same category as Blacks, so they prefer a different term.

"Black makes much more sense then "African American". When describing skin color. "African American" is *not* a color.
Steve Nash is a white basketball player. He is an African/Canadian. Thusly proving that the term "African American does not mean that your skin color is black/brown. Black means black skin color. African American is just PC bullshit to make whites feel less guilty.
There are plenty of whites in Africa, so much so that "African American" is an outmoded term.
