Ugh, so it's that time of the month again, huh? When this thread gets derailed by the endless IR debate-i.e. "Is [fill in the blank] racist or is the porn industry racist?" It's one of the two scenarios that seem to pop up and derail this thread about once a month; the other being when some troll drops in to stir shit up by posting something like, "Why do you care about the guys in the scenes so much?" or "It's a myth that black guys have bigger dicks than everyone else." To be clear, I do believe that it is wrong that even in this day 'n age, the simple act of having sex with a black man on camera is such a big deal to where it's still a separate genre/niche (IR). This results in another "wrong," in which the industry puts a premium price on such scenes which influences a lot of girls to holdout on doing them, whether they decide on their own to holdout or they're advised to do so by their agent/agency. But are there some girls in the biz that don't do IR because they genuinely hold prejudiced or racist feelings towards black men? Sure, but I personally would never make such accusations unless a performer made it pretty obvious in a statement, like a tweet or blog/forum post. In most cases, though, I blame the industry rather than individual performers in regards to IR holdouts. Anyways, with all that being said, I think sometimes y'all take this stuff too personally, forgetting that this is a business and that these girls are in it, first and foremost, to make money. "Don't hate the player, hate the game," as the saying goes; meaning, don't blame the pornstars for waiting to "cash in" on IR, blame the industry for making it so.

^I agree that sometimes this thread can get unnecessarily derailed but at the same time I think you have to understand that this is a thread about really the first site to ever try to make "high quality" IR and it's become very popular so there's gonna be some general discussion about IR.

^ The thing is, when it comes to the "IR debate," it's one thread after another that gets derailed by the discussion, whether it's this one, some pornstar's Star Crossed thread, or some Porn Pool thread. Which is why I often feel like there ought to be a thread in the Porn Pool devoted to it, where everytime it comes up in some other thread, those who want to discuss something that falls under it can be redirected to that thread. For instance, if someone wants to discuss (or complain about) Carter Cruise supposedly holding out on doing IR until she got a "big payday," I feel they should do so in a thread devoted to the "IR debate" instead of this thread or Carter's Star Crossed thread being derailed by the discussion/argument. I mean, if I were BLACKED (the studio username/member that posts here) and I saw that this thread is the setting for this debate, instead of discussion about recent/upcoming scenes and casting/scene suggestions, I'd be a lil' disappointed. Same goes for some members of the studio who just wanna come here to talk about the scenes, make suggestions, etc., rather than read posts from members talking about why they think [fill in the blank] is an "IR dodger." Again, this subject is worthy of debate, however, it is becoming a bit tiresome to see thread-after-thread get derailed by the same discussion repeatedly.
^ The fun thing about message boards is that you can do both, even at the same time. For example, I can sit here and say that IR porn being a category isn't wrong or racist any more than Latina or Asian porn being a category is. In other words, as a title, Blondes Go Black is no more racist than Latin Asses is. There are reasons to call the porn industry racist, but the existence of IR porn as a category isn't one of them. And then I can turn right around and say that if Abigail Mac is legitimately interested in shooting for Blacked (as she has implied on Twitter), then they should jump directly on that chance as it seems like she'd be right up their alley.
^^That's true too, but the reason that every other thread gets taken over by the "IR debaters" is because you can't open a thread strictly to talk about interracial without it getting locked by one of the moderators. ^I wouldn't mind seeing Abigail on Blacked either. Good point. I have noticed how some seemingly legitimate threads and posts regarding the subject inexplicably vanish. (I'm not talking about the blatant, derogatory, out-of-line threads/posts that sometimes come up; those should certainly be removed by the moderators.)
Does anybody else appreciate that they use high end lingerie like Agent Provocateur? It adds glamor and classiness to the scenes, which I really like. I don't know of any other site/studio that uses such expensive lingerie consistently. Maybe except for Marc Dorcel. Another thing, I hope they can start using different Louboutin high heels because I notice they use the same pair over and over. ^ Personally, I have more simple tastes when it comes to what I like to see girls wearing. I prefer simple bra and panty sets and bikinis instead of fancy lingerie (corsets, garter belts and stockings) that often covers up too much, as far as I'm concerned. I can still enjoy the scenes that feature girls in this fancy lingerie, although I think the studio does these a lot and I'd love to see a bit more variety as far as what the girls wear. As much as I agree with you about how some people react when they don't get the answer they want, not everyone involved in a conversation about this is being a "crybaby" about it. For as much as I just said I don't like what she said in that interview, she's already said last year when she first started shooting b/g that she's going to shoot IR eventually, so in the grand scheme of things that quote is no skin off my back.

We had a problem with the heavy negative racial aspect of it towards black men but people are now getting mad at her for having the same view about from a white woman's perspective. If you don't accept it, how can be mad at someone else for not wanting to accept it.

The whole debate is stupid, cause people should be able to have sex wwith who they want without others having even the slightest opinion of it. If any person does not want to have sex with someone of a different race, its their choice and does not mean they are racist. Its the same with people that exclusively only have sex with other races, should we look down on them for not having sex with people of the same race, hell no. This is how it should be! The older crowd here will easily remember the days of photographers who were just part of the crew snapping pictures of the women. The days when people running the shoot were mouth breathers and not professional make-up artists. Some where along the way the amount of money to be made and spent in this industry caught a lot of peoples attention and with that came a higher-quality of viewing experience.
