I for one am thrilled that we've seen so many scenes with more than 2 people lately. I tend to prefer those scenes even though I loved the scenes with Ariana Marie and Kate England as well.
I got a kick out of it personally, other people seemed to not have as much of a sense of humor about it. but you are right probably best to put the gag to bed as it were.
Deceptive. From the preview pics it looks as if they photoshopped her tattoos out. Upon further inspection of the trailer, there's almost no shots of her with her top off where you have clear view of her shoulder. Most of it appears to be her with her top on still covering her shoulders or creative angles to hide it. Even more intriguing is that the one or two shots of her bare shoulders (or hips) in it, her tattoo(s) appears to be obscured in some manner using some sort of make-up (like Riley Reid's in her DarkX scene). This is most interesting to me. I have not adopted an opinion on this issue yet, nor would I disclose one even if I have. I just feel this is a rather peculiar topic for debate and felt the need to bring this to everyone's attention. Naturally, I will be eagerly awaiting the release of the full scene in the coming days to investigate the matter further and gauge fan reaction.

^ Ironically, it appears that Elsa's tats were concealed (with makeup) while Zoey's were not. Personally, I prefer that Elsa's tats be concealed with makeup-they're unflattering and take away from her natural beauty and the "prom queen" look that she's got. ^I think it's a bit insulting to Elsa for Lansky to hide her ink but not Zoey's. I also regard Lanskyist IR's ink phobia as silly (and in the case of Dark X downright disappointing). Blacked and all sites that shoot Lanskyist IR treat tattoos as flaws. Size, placement, prominence, and perhaps other factors govern whether or not or to what extent those "flaws" are tolerable. Now, I don't mean to suggest that this is literally a phobia, but we're obviously talking about an aversion here, a strong dislike. Hiding a performer's entire upper body because of a tattoo, well, that resembles phobic behavior. I know for some of these sites it's just business and not a question of personal aversion on the part of directors, but as long as ink-phobia continues to exclude so many of my favorite performers, I'm not going to be happy about it. Anyway, Blacked isn't going to change so I try not to criticize them on this point anymore unless tattoo hiding interferes with a scene. Besides, I love the site and most of its content, so focusing on permanent negative aspects seems pointless.

That's because a large majority of their customers still consider these tattoos unappealing. Even though the tattoo fad has grown in popularity among the millennial/hipster/bandwagon jumping set, it's still not a very popular trend in mainstream middle America. The porn producers know this, and they also know that the vast majority of their actual paying customers (not the younger, internet porn theives) that porn has are middle aged white guys, who aren't tattoo fans, and find them unattractive on women, especially "fantasy" women. What you view as a negative, many many more people view as a positive.

First it was believed that there was not a market for erotic IR, now the new belief seems to be that there is only a market for Lanskyist erotic IR. Mason has shaken things up a little by hosting both erotic IR content and (well shot) gonzo on Dark X. She's also shot milfs and won't exclude curvy performers. Black is Better has also differentiated itself a bit. I hope that another director will innovate even further by breaking with the ink-phobia of other erotic IR sites.

I think that in general, the market for IR has really nothing to do with tattoos, or no tattoos. They are entirely separate issues/fetishes. but I do think that while IR is definitely trending more popular lately as a genre, tattoo prominence is definitely negatively affecting some producers - hence the covering up/makeup work. Tushy covers up tats too, not just blacked, and that isn't an IR site. Yes, it's more erotic/less gonzo, but more erotic/less gonzo is still the most popular porn market there is. Porn is a pretty small industry, and most non-porn-collector types trend toward fairly vanilla content. Just look at all the soft porn on late night cable/cinemax where they have regular porn stars doing penetrationless soft scenes. none of them have tattoos. This kind of stuff is what most of America thinks of when they think "porn", and they have no idea what legalporno.com or hardcoregangbang.com are doing. the average porn producer is keenly aware that the money is to be made from the casual/vanilla porn viewers, because there's millions of them, compared to the hardcore fanatics who are few and far between.

I'm over the moon with this new update, especially with Elsa once again. I have Blacked to thank in fact for bringing Elsa to my attention to begin with.
