Oh man...I shoot so many much I tend to forget about them once they're in the can.
I'm pretty sure that's a cuckolding scene, and if that's the case, it's out any day now!

my beef with BonB, too many train wrecks, cucking, freaky writing etc,and not enough straight up IR 1 on 1s.
Why BonB wont lay theyre tracks down on DVD never ceases to boggle me? You can download theyre scenes off edit and burn it to dvd with converter software, so? why be a paying BonB customer?unless you like gangbangs, cucking and prego/writing xtra crispy and sicko/kinky stuff?
All BonB is doing is denying another revenue stream and denying fans who would buy their DVD stuff to play on theyre big screen if available.crazy?
[mod edit: Coming to a website where many of the members make their money by selling porn, and then talking about how to get it for free without permission, is tacky and insensitive at the very least, not to mention also being illegal. I'd advise you to not do that again.]

?????and my comments that"the internet is killing DVD producers and video retailers and calling the MrM forum a pirate file sharing site" is insensitive to people making $ from the porn biz? how so? im real confused?
Im pro DVD and support HushHush,Bone,(hi nate) Lethal hardcore,(hi stoney)
Midas Exp(hi Jerry), Vouyer Media(hi Vinnie and VanStyles) among others.
I am down on web only porn businesses who dont put thier content on DVD.
If BoB for example wont put thier content on DVD(and they wont)and someone goes on say, MrM forum or reasonable facsimile forum thereof downloads a favorite scene to dvd, I wouldnt blame them. Wholesale downloading of tons of content for free is wrong and hurts the porn biz and this is what is happening unfortunetly.

^ Rick sometimes it's about what is said, and other times it's about how one says it. Still others are a combination I guess.
In the case of your post that I edited, your words had given me the impression not that you were calling attention to a problem but rather that you were instructing people how to illegally acquire the material in question.
Thus, the edit.
[oh in particular I felt that way because you pointed people not only to a forum but to an exact place on it.]

I agree with most of the other posters on here. If BOB, Spring Thomas and others were on DVD I'd buy those but too many websites with monthly subscription rates to be able to afford them all. At least if I could get them on DVD I could buy the ones I wanted and watch them as many times as I wanted for one price instead of having to subscribe each month.

I personally think it's good they only focus on webcontent because if they go DVD they will cut their scenes like all websites do. Like a scene on the site is like 30 minutes and on DVD you will only get 20 minutes.

Obviously you missed what Billy said...if you join any site in the Blacks On Blondes/Dogfart family, you get access to all of them, which is 14 different sites if I remember correctly (15 if Cuckold Sessions is thrown in too, but I can't say for sure on that one...it only says 14 if you look at the join page)). Maybe Billy can clear this up next time he posts?
Still, 14 sites is pretty good going for $35 bucks a month...that's a little more than $2 per site, per month by my reckoning.

Brieflym, BlackonBlondes was the first site I ever subscribed to, and it set the standard for the type of porn I enjoy watching.
As a thought, the distribution model for DVDs requires a fairly different ball game from distributing on the web. Distribution on DVD is a gamble; you re-edit, author the DVDs, print a gazillion of them, and fight tooth and nail to have stores sell them for a profit. Once the video is on DVD, it becomes doubly easy to pirate the material, and that 'exclusive' marker has to vanish from the site. Having said that, the topic of if any producers should sell on DVD is probably worthy of it's own thread.

Yea, they just changed the business model, and now it's all 15 sites (cuckold sessions included) for the monthly rate.
And while I'm at it, I'll go ahead and get myself in trouble by leaking this info: by fall, there's 3 more sites going up, one of which is guaranteed to melt some brains.
'nuff said.

most people DO NOT want all 14 sites, they usually want just 3 or 4. this is adult DVD talk Billy, not adult internet only talk.
there is still many fans who prefer porn on DVD.
BoB has recieved many, many requests(even by your admission billy)to have BoB scenes made available on DVD. BoB refuses.
BoB then adds fuel to the wholesale file sharing fire crippling many players in the industry.how can you deny that fact?
this is opinion,Im not the only fan with this opinion.this is AdultDVD talk, lets talk, even if the topic is a hot button issue.
you should be grateful ,most people would just comment good work Billy and then go find your scenes on a file sharing site behind your back.
Im gonna say it again, put your BoB stuff on DVD.just the 1on1's would make me happy.

Putting aside the fact that your statement is mere conjecture as opposed to empirically-demonstrable fact, I fail to see the logic of your argument here, perhaps because there actually isn't any?
Just because members have membership to all 15 sites doesn't actually mean they have to utilise it. They can just choose to look at the sites that interest them. It's not like Billy Watson comes to your house and points a loaded gun at your head and tells you which scenes/sites you may or may not look at.
Also, are you seriously suggesting that if you were offered access to four sites for $35 versus access to 15 sites (including the 4 you really want) for the same amount of money, you'd just take the 4 site option? Really? Riiiight
This is actually a fairly salient point.
Perhaps because it doesn't actually make financial sense to them to put the content out on DVD? You've got a whole raft of other expenses to figure in: Authoring, Duplication, Sleeve Art & Printing, Physical Distribution (to the postcodes that allow it, lest we forget...another advantage of web-exclusivity) and Physical Storage. Whilst the content itself is already effectively paid for, it still might not work out as being profitable enough a venture to justify doing it.
Again, logic? Putting the content out on DVD will reduce piracy how? You can rip content off a DVD with as little effort as it takes to download a scene off a website.
If you're suggesting people will pirate the scenes because they can't get a DVD version, how do you explain the fact that they are prepared to download the non-DVD version in the first place, if they are so bound and determined to have a DVD version? That's like justifying car theft because the manufacturer doesn't make that particular model as a convertible too.

Dear Carno
A.) I dont want to pay for content I have no intent of ever watching.I dont believe there is anyone interested in all sites. As Billy says, its $2 per site.Ok ,then charge me $8 for 4 sites of my choice.by BoB billys reckoning.
B.) The reason BoB hasnt put theyre content on DVD is obviously oblivious to you. You pulled your response out of your arse like a gay dude does to a butt plug. So your saying all DVD porn production companies should just shut down and go internet only. That there is is ZERO market for quality.the market has been saturated.saturated with crap.there is a strong DVD market for quality IR 1on1 content that hasnt already been released on DVD previously.the incredible amount of previously released comps out now is skewing the DVD market even lower. If BoB made theyre content available to DVD, they will have no problem getting, xrent, bush, excalibur ,gamelink ,this place and anyone one else i didnt mention to carry the line and it would be a big hit for them as well as BoB.let them worry about zip codes.if your worried about getting the max hardcore treatment , dont put your wife writting, cuck and trainwreck content on dvd. who needs cover art? the name and some simple but sharp graphics and stills on the back cover.
C.) Content will always be pirated to some degree. there is no sense pushing(literally)a percentage of fans that would be paying customers if said content were offered on DVD into pirates. Piracy is a mountain. You have to chip away at it. put your stuff an dvd and now you got a smaller mountain.

Actually, it was me and not Billy who said it works out to a little over $2 a site, but it's true whoever said it. Either way you slice it, it's still better value than $35 for one site. That's not to say $35 represents bad value for money, as with a site like BoB it means you are paying $8.25 per scene. You'll end up paying a lot more than that for a lot less quality on some of these individual clip retail sites.
Also, you're not paying for content that you have no intention of watching. You're paying for the site you want to see, you just get the rest bundled in for free as a bonus. Talk about looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth...I suppose when they roll out the three new sites they have in development and add them to the program, you'll want to pay less than $2 to join the ones you want, right?
Nice. Let me guess...BlacksOnBoys was one of the sites you were most interested in?
Nowhere have I said or even remotely suggested anything like that. There is no universally-applicable 'one size fits all' business model for every company. What works for BoB might not work for New Sensations, and vice versa.
...and the surest and most logical way to cure saturation or oversaturation of the DVD marketplace is to release even more DVD product?
Says you (again, conjecture as opposed to fact), but then even a cursory reading of your previous posts indicates that you have a personal preference for 'IR 1on1', so I'm getting the acute impression that you are carrying something of a torch or 'hard-on' for this particular type of niche/scene, and as such are evidently something of a monomaniacal and distinctly myopic broken record in this regard, incapable of seeing the wood for the trees.
It may come as something of a shock to you, but what is true for you isn't necessarily true for the population at large. People have different tastes and opinions, and I would imagine some of them even like 'train wrecks', otherwise BoB wouldn't bother shooting them if they were indeed that unpopular, as you seem to think they are.
Again, baseless conjecture. I dare say the guy who runs BoB has some hard facts and figures and projections as to the potential viability of such a venture, and the knock-on impact upon his core web-based business, and that's the reason why he has foregone releasing DVDs.
How do you know it would be a big hit, by the way? For a website as well-established and ubiquitous as BoB, I'd imagine a lot of people interested in IR have already been/still are a member and thus seen their content online and as such would not be motivated to buy the DVD. I'm sure such a consideration would weigh fairly heavily in the minds of retailers and distributors too.
Also, as a purely online entity, 'this place' doesn't actually physically 'carry' anything. However, a producer and/or retailer of physical DVDs does have to 'carry' stuff, and storage space (i.e. renting a warehouse) costs money.
You're missing the point. Some zipcodes don't allow any adult material whatsoever. Even your precious 'IR 1on1's' would fall foul. However, with a website, you can reach these customers (and their money!) that would otherwise have been denied to you.
I can only think you typed this at haste. Go back and re-read it and see if you can spot the irony of your statement. It's akin to saying 'Who needs cutlery? Just give me a knife, fork and spoon!'
Also, regardless of how much or how little you spend on the cover design, it's still going to cost money to print it onto sleeves.
My analogy about the convertible didn't sink in, did it? Again, not wishing to sound like Spock, but your argument is completely illogical. If these supposed DVD-centricist fans are so adverse to the web-based versions of the content, why are they pirating it in the first place? Sounds like an extremely flimsy excuse to me. By your reckoning, it would be okay to steal food from a restaurant that didn't offer takeout.

BoB gay site? more reason for straight fans not wanting to pay for all those sites.
the oversaturation is due to to inferior knock off product and over aggressive compilation releases.fans who buy/rent ,the bulk of the DVD market, dont fool with comps, they got it on the 1st run and are discriminating, they know what is good and what isnt.the downsizing of the porn industry will continue until most of the low quality guys bite the dust.
this leaves a window of opportunity for BoB to enter the DVD market and rule the IR segment for the next few years.
Says me? If the Blackzilla and other IR series from Hush/Bone were mega DVD hits, BoB would not be? the Hush/Bone DVD numbers have dropped because they have stopped producing new IR product and are now running comps.
The 1on1 series have been the best movers.
Who in the porn industry doesnt have the zip code data readily available to them?
Anybody who has done any mail business knows there are all kind of zip codes and states in some cases depending on the product you cant send your wares to.zip codes are tooth picks.
Common sense has to come in to play somewhere ? BoB could have dropped theyre material to DVD years ago even when DVD sales/rent numbers were better and didnt when the market wasnt saturated.(which are skewed due to comps and lack of new production). If IR wasnt popular BoB website wouldnt have been so popular, so? you can read ,but cant seem to see the trees through the woods and there in lies the problem.
Carno, Im glad you think the BonBoys site alone is worth your $35 a mo.

...if you think that's bad, spare a thought for all those Gay/Bi IR fans who might also object to their membership fees partially subsidising the 14 straight sites. I think straight fans get by far the better end of the deal on this one.
By the way, you do realise ADT has a Gay forum too, and that by patronising ADT even as a mere surfer as opposed to an active link/ad clicker, you are helping to partially fund the existence of it? Hell, you're practically on the down low just being here.
Yet these big companies still put out comps? Why is that? I mean, it must be tantamount to commercial suicide to do it, to put out a product that has absolutely no buying audience, yet still they persist. What's even more surprising is that the distributors and retailers then compound the studio's error by buying said compilations off them.
Please refer back to my post where I say 'What is true for you isn't necessarily true for everyone else'. You might not buy compilations, but there are a lot of occasional customers who do, and they make up a pretty sizeable demographic chunk of the market. Or you can just continue blithely along in your deluded belief that the studios, distributors and retailers put comps out simply because they enjoy losing money. Whatever works best for you.
Leisure Time (and their various aliases/sub-labels) are still going, I believe and they make a living on churning out low quality comps. They are like the cockroaches that will survive the oncoming pornogeddon/pornocaust. You'd think they would have been squeezed out by now, yet still they remain.
...and after those few years, then what (and that's supposing that there actually is a physical DVD market of any significant size by that time, post-'downsizing' of the industry)? They'll now be locked into a dwindling business model with various overheads.
There's a damn good reason they're not breaking their necks to change their business model and get in on the 'action', so to speak.
Again, just go back and re-read what you're typing and try and let the significance of what you're saying sink in. Per your reasoning, BoB should adopt the same business model as HushHush/Bone Digital, that is to say websites and DVDs concurrently.
Yet for some reason (despite having the superior business model to BoB), according to you, they have now 'stopped producing new IR product' and instead are 'now running comps'. Oddly enough, despite having the inferior business model, BoB continues to produce new IR product for their network of sites month after month (with the obvious exception of the now-retired Spring Thomas). How can that be?
Again, you've failed to grasp the issue. If you have a physical product (like a DVD) that you can't ship to various zipcodes, then you lose the potential business from those zipcodes. With a website, you can circumvent this problem entirely. If you can already reach 100% of your potential customer base via one delivery format (the internet), why would you make the effort to switch to an alternative delivery format (DVD) which might only be able to reach something like 50% or less of your potential customer base?
The simple answer is: You would not. I tend to think that is probably BoB's outlook as well.
Rick, if our little discussion has demonstrated anything, it's that you are indeed the last person who should be attempting to take people to task on the grounds of a lack of common sense. Seriously.
Could have. Didn't. Remained internet exclusive. Still producing new material. Has the penny dropped yet? Indeed, can it ever?
Again, nowhere in my previous posts have I said or even remotely suggested that IR wasn't popular. You know what I said about you and common sense? Well, that goes double for you in terms of literacy and reading comprehension I'm afraid to say.
You'd love it. Instead of butt plugs getting pulled out of guys' asses, it's big black cocks. Lot's of IR 1on1's too. How can you not love that?

Dude,
A DVD runs around $15-$20. For less than the cost of three DVDs, you could (in theory) download the entire network of sites he runs, potentially several dozens of DVDs. The whole 'four dollars a site' argument rings false.
You're not paying attention to the marketing lesson. To make DVDs costs money. To sell DVDs costs money. You're essentially complaining that one of your favorite pizza places doesn't deliver. A former Drill Instructor used to say to us "Tough shit, bucky boy."
A quick look on file sharing sites shows that DVD porn is pirated to a much greater degree than websites. There are programs that turn a DVD into an AVI file with two clicks; to download, then upload, entire sites requires a lot more time and effort. The fact is, most DVD only companies are going downhill, at such an alarming rate that it leaves newer/smaller producers (say, me) scratching our heads thinking "it just isn't going to be worth the investment." In fact, I'd be very surprised if the entire distribution model hasn't moved to VOD fifteen years from now. History shows us that the DVD format, itself, is barely more than 10 years old.
There are great file format conversion programs. It'd probably be worth your time to buy the membership, download the scenes you want, convert them to DVD, burn them, and be done with it.
It should be worth noting, that Billy Watson doesn't personally decide what happens to the material he shoots. Complaining to him that Dogfart doesn't do X, Y, or Z is a bit like chewing out the recording engineer because you hate Sony Record's business model.

if the Hush/Bone IR internet lines were DVD mega hits on their 1st to DVD runs, why wouldnt BoB lines providing they seperated them into 1on1's , gang tackles, cuck etc? Thats where the common sense comes into play.
I have been in the mail order business, there are zip codes, communities, cities and states where you cant send BBs or pellet guns, cross bows ,ammo etc to.Your suggesting since Daisy and Crosman cant sell thier product mailorder to every zip code in the 50 states, they should just sell wholesale to megabox sporting goods stores? I understand enough about zip codes and local ordinances to know you merely want to argue something that is pointless the 1st time you mentioned it.all the companies like xrent dvd, bush, excalibur etc seem to be handling zip code issues just fine for EXP,Bone,Hush,NewSensations, WestCoast, Lethal hardcore just to scratch the surface. So why is BoB gonna have such a zip crisis?
a significant number of potential customers still want theyre porn on DVD,so the answer is if there are some areas we cant sell DVD in we wont sell DVD at all?brilliant.
carno,Do you get anywhere with this nonsense in the Gay forum?

Seriously Rick, it sounds like your focused more on the agenda of having their DVDs delivered to your doorstep, than any consideration for the why's and how's of their digital distribution system. It's not just a question of 'zip codes.'
If you believe there's a significant market vacuum for IR porn on DVD that isn't already being met by the many (many many many) other companies who also cater to the genre, it stands to reason that someone will ultimately step up to fill it. Personally, I think BoB is going the wise route, in sticking to their online only format, as twenty years from now it's likely to be the only format.

Im a DVD porn consumer, whether its delivered or I go to the local porn shop.i have no problem with XrentDVDs prices and ship fees.If the product I want isnt made available on DVD ,Im forced to become a pirate. When Hush/Bone and Jules Jordan among others stop putting thier content on DVD and go internet only, you guys might be right. come back in 20 years.

with the advent of higher bandwith internet, and the ability to stream HD content across the net along with advances in graphics card technology, it makes perfect sense from a biz. standpoint to have internet only content.
Not to mention, you can shoot harder content on the net and not deal with the headaches of local laws.
Also, whether you all like this or not, many porn consumers have reasons for keeping that part of their life in the dark. Many people walk in my home and see my DVD collection, few if any use my computer.
I imagine it is also a lot cheaper to produce internet content as well (again reducing overhead)
It is greener.
The only thing I can see that DVD's offer that a lot of websites don't is more options and more BTS. But my hope is a lot of sites will begin offering more BTS content.
I don't have anything against DVD's , but the truth is it is not always the best vehicle for distribution, especially for lower budget productions.

yes, theyre costs, but the biggest costs, production(is already bought and paid for and has paid itself back to BoB many times over)and establishing branding/brand name(BoB has established themselves with a brand name and buzz all porn fans have heard of)to have the scenes duplicated, packaged and distrubuted through the 1/2 a dozen or so major porn DVD e-tailers/renters is almost trivial for BoB at this point. BoBs desision would be the equivelent of Disney not allowing the Jonas Bros and Hannah Montana to put theyre lame music(sic)on CD and saying if someone wants this they have to subscribe to the Disney channel. Somehow me thinks Disney execs are smarter than the BoB guy.

'Forced' to become a pirate?
Again, let's examine the logic of this argument: The porn you want isn't available on DVD, ergo you illegally download a copy which is an exact reproduction of the content you would find on the paysite, identical in every way (such being the nature of digital media).
I fail to see how this solves the problem of the content not being available on DVD. You're getting the exact same content you would have got had you paid up and joined the site and legally downloaded it.
All I see is a weak attempt to justify piracy, I'm afraid.

You're trying to tell me that because the cost of a membership is about $20 more than you'd ordinarily pay for a DVD, you're 'forced' to steal it? If the DVD prices were $30 instead of $10, would you swipe them off the shelves, if you knew you could get away with it? Then admit it in an open forum, in the faces of people who would otherwise be paying their mortgages and kids tuition with the income?

You know, this is a topic for a whole different thread (probably in The Feature Side), but it has always struck me that due to the traditional stigma attached to porn, it is at a distinct disadvantage when compared to other more mainstream media.
As you correctly point out, when you invite someone into your home, they will most likely see your DVD collection, your CD, rack, your bookshelf etc., and will draw their own conclusions based on what they find there. Whereas certain items (say a book by a cult author or a CD by a cutting-edge band) will be proudly on display because the owner likes how they reflect on his personality and impress visitors, we all know the porn collection isn't going to be on open display, but more than likely hidden away somewhere if it even exists in a physical form.
So, whereas the impetus is there for the consumer to buy the official CD, DVD or book rather than pirate it (lest potential girlfriends catch sight of a shelf full of ripped CDs and think 'Jesus, what an amoral cheapskate!'), no such impetus exists when it comes to porn.
I think therefore the industry needs to get together and thrash out a plan to make porn a little 'hipper'...there are certainly quite a few breakthrough people currently doing their respective parts on this front (Stormy, Sasha Grey, the alt.porn crowd etc.), but I still feel more could be done.
What's needed is porn that people won't be embarrassed to display on their shelves (I have Nic Andrews' 'Dark Angels' mixed in with my regular horror movies, for example), but rather the exact opposite.
What the industry needs is 'Porn You Can Be Proud Of!'
