I will say that this forum is better than most about quickly removing offending posts and posters. I wish performers would realize that on any sizable forum like this is there is always going to be a minority of offensive assholes who don't know how to not be dicks towards other human beings. I know it's human nature to ignore hundreds of positive comments and focus on the few negative ones, but it's a shame that a few bad apples have to have such an outsized impact on performers' impression of this forum and community. I'm not here everyday so often the offensive posts are removed before I read them, but even assuming the worst I'll usually read 10-20 glowing comments before I come across a negative one.
I agree completely as most people feel because they crank a few out to their favorite performers that they're able to make rude comments to said performer whether it be about their weight, a complexion issue, maybe telling them they need to have thicker skin when it comes to addressing criticism. The performer then rebukes the poster, then the poster either amps it up with more rude comments or becomes all puppy doggish with their comments trying to curry favor with the performer. But again, you're right, its the guys not making comments that are the problem.

I'm not sure who this nomination would even be from, as I tend to ignore awards in all branches of movie-making. I'm not even as gaga over Blake as some tend to be, and don't take that wrong. She's incredibly hot and does great work, there's just some out there who come off a little more manic then most, but I digress. Anyway, Blake is one of the very few performers who seemed to come out with content consistently throughout the pandemic, so if nothing else, just a nomination only as a "Newcummer" seems to be selling her contributions terribly short...
^I'm with you on this one because aside from the reality that the various groups that used to nominate performers are no longer independent players exactly who is nominating performers for anything in a year where the industry has been suffering through a world pandemic sine the early months of 2020?

LOL! So sad and yet so funny at the same time. This site/forum will always chase away the performers who take the time to post here because there's simply too many people here who only see performers as fap objects who only exist to do what ever floats their boat. Their thinking is "You're a porn star who's job is to do whatever I need you to do get me off and if you aren't doing that I need to tell you what to do to accomplish that job!". Clearly there's too many people here that have little respect for performers or even think of them as actual people. What's even more funny is the same people who say the performers should have thicker skins are the very ones who are the quickest to get bent out of shape when anyone says anything aimed at them they don't like. I've never understood the need some people have to tell people what they don't like. "Hey, you put on a few pounds/you changed your hair color/you don't do the type of scenes I like/you got a new tattoo/you changed your looks...and it's important that I let you know I don't like it. You need to know this"
Nobody in their right mind is going to take the time and effort to come here and interact with people or even a person who they feel says negative, stupid, or disrespectful crap about them when they have other platforms they can interact with fans and actual friends and control who gets to interact with them. They really don't have to do it in the first place, especially when they have their own way of reaching a considerably larger and respectful audience/fanbase on their own.
^ LOL!! Let's also be perfectly frank. The pornstars who do venture onto these forums generally aren't doing it for some completely altruistic reasons but to generate interest in their careers and their scenes. See it as part of their portfolio of social media including Twitter, OnlyFans, Reddit etc. They don't give a second thought for you or me or what we feel......nor should they....they're doing a job. Those 'fans' who come on here expecting some cosy personal chat with a pornstar are, frankly, delusional. The biggest issue here is that these forums work in a completely different way from all their other social media in that this is pretty much the only one the pornstars have no control over. All the others they can simply block anyone they take a dislike to. On these forums they get people picking up on their media posts and expressing opinions and questioning them. Its also the case, when you follow the Twitter accounts of many pornstars, that there are plenty who are themselves capable of 'negative, stupid and disrespectful crap' even directed at fellow pornstars!!
The way we make sure that people like Blake are comfortable dropping in is by us all playing our part in jumping on the few goons who (mainly unwittingly) say daft or disrespectful stuff......and the way to do that is by reporting it immediately to the Mods who will sort it but......they're not reading every comment on every thread and so need our assistance!
Finally, with the retirement of Gabbie Carter, Blake is my No1 Pornstar of the moment. Just hoping she gets more and more high-profile scenes with the big sites which is what she needs.....and deserves!!
^I agree with you which is why I am usually surprised when those performers decide to take a giant crap on this forum especially if it's on other platforms as though we won't hear about it. I think that anyone who is in the public eye is guaranteed to get a level of negative comments directed at them and if that person happens to be a woman then she will get significantly more. It's hard not to strike back at the people who post negative comments and maybe that's why they can't help themselves but I think doing that sort of dooms their chances of retaining a bigger fan base then if they had simply avoided saying anything. Like it or not some of the people who write negative comments on this forum are still fans and more importantly are paying fans. I'd like to think that the vast majority of us are paying fans and while that doesn't give us carte blanche to post whatever goes through our heads. I'd like to think that some of the things we post while they may be negative in nature. They aren't meant to be an attack but simply our view of a particular situation.
I agree. But my thinking is, even though the girl is here to promote her career it's kinda cool she comes here and we can ask her questions and keep up with what she's up to. If she did something you don't care for there's no need to throw it in her face. If you really need to know or are curious, just ask her in a round about why instead just saying she shouldn't do whatever. I think it's better to butter her up and not always find fault than chase her away. Besides, no performer gets up in the morning with the intent to do crappy work to disapoint people. Cut her some slack. Also, probably most importantly...a lot of these performers are young girls. They're in a profession where they're constantly dealing with and hearing tons of crap. They really don't need or want so called "fans" piling on. Some of them are young and haven't built up a thick skin yet. I'm not saying to only constantly kiss their asses...just remember throwing out negative stuff isn't fun for anyone and it usually doesn't make anything better. I think it's better to bite your tongue a bit and have her stay than tell her what you think she needs to hear.

^ I absolutely agree with your sentiment and the great majority of pornstars across their media come across as decent people who deserve respect. Just a few come across as just as crazy as some of the more rabid posters on these threads......and even they deserve respect on here! The one thing I'd say to any pornstar looking to post is look at the Angela White thread. See how she handles it and learn and......surprise, surprise...... there doesn't ever seem to be any real controversy there!
Blake is at the other end of the business career-wise and sort things out her own way. To be honest I'd rather she was somewhere else making great scenes than humouring us on here!

I also think it's important to point out that we aren't all proficient in writing so sometimes we use words that we think are appropriate to the subject but they aren't. My first language is French and it was the only language spoken at home. I more or less learned English at school playing with English school friends and since then I have worked in various industries where I can use English regularly but I will often write something and before posting correct most of it because upon review it didn't seem right.

2. The rest of your post (except of the last 2 sentences) it really sounds like you're saying "Because we may or may not be paying fans and jerk off to you, shut up and take it!"
3. Your last 2 sentences and the shoe is on the other foot at your job performance appraisal Pat362. "Okay Pat362, your ability to get along with your co-workers really sucks, you have severe halitosis, and the work you submit for review is substandard by 3rd grade standards. In my opinion we can all learn how to proceed with class and decorum by watching how Senior Members like Pitbull and Pat conduct themselves. Well, there's one thing guaranteed if she's appearing on Vixen; she'll look absolutely fantastic. Their scenes are often a bit bland and formulaic but the girls always look incredible. That's something Vixen get right.
It's a good move on her part on getting a Vixen scene. I just love her natural body. Vixen scenes are formulaic but they're well edited and the camera work is often good.

Who said anything about campaigning? Most if not all showcases feature things like an anal, DP, DV, or blowing a half dozen guys. Has Blake expressed an interest in doing these kinds of things that make up a showcase? If not, the chances of getting a "surprise" showcase is slim to none.
