Is blocking E mails a good idea or waste of energy. Do spammers have an unlimited number of E mail addresses or get pissed and send your E mail to eveyone? Blocking for one week.

Blocking doesn't seem to have slowed down the stream of spam. Probably more useful for a semi-obsessed pseudo-stalker.
A good filter really cuts down on the crap.

blocking email actually mean that the mail is working and encourage them. I blocked for a time and realize that i was getting more shit...then i started ignoring and just deleting what pasted the spam filter and WOW it a couples of month it really droped. So best thing is to ignore them.

It really depends on how the "blocking" is accomplished. The most common way to handle blacklisted senders is for the receiving email server to generate a fake undeliverable response. Then the sender thinks the email address is no longer valid.

Funny thing is that immediately after the security episode here, I have been getting markedly less SPAM.
So beyond the headache for Drew and DD, it worked out for me.
