Why do we not see more Blu ray movies? That is all I buy for my mainstream movies and now I have just gotten to the point where I go without for my porn movies if I can't get it in Blu-ray. For example I would buy tomorrow Elegant Angel's Glamour Girls 3 Bombshells 1-3 Massive Facials 1-4 Gangbanged 2 and 3 Evalutionary 2 just to name a few. Why can't we get these in blu-ray? Instead I just go without.
know exactly how you feel, after u get so used to viewing everything in nothing less than HD its not pretty going back to dvd quality... all porn should be released on bluray same time as the dvd! usually with elegant angel, evil angel & jules jordan a few weeks after the dvd is released you can download a 720p or 1080p HD copy via there websites. the bolded titles in your post are definately available as i have at least 1 scene from each in 720p all companys mentioned use DRM-Free MP4 format and every vid i have has played no problem via ps3 or wdtv live. average quality/birate is consistent across the board... 720p @ 3500-4000kbps and 1080p @ 7000-8000kbps. i do find elegant/evil to be sharper compared to jules but thats probably due to being filmed with a better HD camera, heres some vlc player snapshots screens from 720p copys of dp fanatic scenes with jada and jynx that only just came out the other week... was very happy to finally get DP Fanatic in HD but still waiting on Anal Students.. any longer im gonna have to settle with the dvd, the line up of girls on that 1 is insane!
I also would like to see more movies from Elegant Angel and other companies on Blu-ray. Yes it was tried in 2008, and yes it failed, but the economic crisis and Blu-ray format's limited penetration killed it. Four years later, it's high time to give it another shot. I get really tired of visiting the Blu-ray section and seeing nothing but dozens of Digital Playground titles. Other companies really need to step up to the plate and start putting out titles. 1080 downloads are killing my 1 TB hard drive, and I've had to deleted dozens of them because of size limitations. It's refreshing to hear that I am not alone in demanding more porn titles to be released on blu-ray. Digital Playground release all their titles in high definition, which is great, but there needs to be more diversity in the market with input from other studios. With the exception of Hustler, and the odd release from other companies, Elegant Angel are the only other studio to be releasing material on blu-ray. However, only a select few titles titles make it - usually being the big 'Superstar September' releases, and a few other dotted out over the year. So many quality titles have been left behind in the past few years, even including some of those 'superstar' ones. 'Jayden Jaymes Unleashed' and 'Rachel Starr is Badass' didn't get released on to blu-ray, whilst two others did at the time. These are two huge titles, containing the first anal performances of two of the industries biggest names, which we have waited so long to see! Yet, EA appeared to forget this. Those above have not been released on blu-ray to date. FFS! 'Natural' features Amy Ried as the cover girl. With the amount of money she supposedly performs for, and the popularity of the girl, you would think Elegant Angel would have pushed this one out in HD. It would sell. Drebin, I appreciate your enthusiasm for high definition porn, but I'm going to guess you have never watched it on blu-ray? Last time I checked, the bit-rate of blu-ray porn was averaging 35,000kbps. Quite a difference, in comparison to the 1080p video downloads, averaging 8,000kbps from the web. I actually find Elegant Angel to have quite poor picture quality on their HD video downloads. They are often pixelated during fast movement, and too grainy. These are features you are unlikely to find on a blu-ray edition. Hence, I feel we are being deprived of the opportunity to see EA's work in all its glory. As 'Loverofsluts' said, I also find it difficult to watch anything other than blu-ray releases nowadays. Understand that I have watched nothing but HD scenes from the web for the past few years. Once I saw the improvement in quality, I couldn't go back to standard definition. The same is happening now with blu-ray, but the change is difficult when so little material is available. In a perfect scenario, Elegant Angel would release all their titles on the format, along with other studios like Jules Jordan and Evil Angel. I realise blu-ray is expensive, but the popularity of the format has risen rapidly since 2008. Give the customer the option to purchase higher quality! A response from Elegant Angel on the matter of their blu-ray releases would be most welcomed...
I was shocked that L.T.s Sauna Girls wasn't put out on Blu-ray, with a cast that includes Eva Angelina, Katsuni, Asa Akira and Kristina Rose, I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the top-selling L.T. titles all year long. It's not just Elegant Angel though, it's every studio, really. Some share more of the blame than others, Elegant Angel should be putting more out, but companies like Vivid, Hustler and Wicked, that are supposedly "top-tier", need to start embracing the format as well. Downloads are for addicts and pirates who constantly crave new jerkoff material, but not putting Star Wars XXX on Blu-ray is simply disgraceful. And I'll say it here again, niche titles need to start showing up again. I want more handjob and blowjob movies on Blu-ray, some solo masturbation titles, and maybe a couple Sweet Sinner and lesbian titles as well. Niche titles are a huge boon to the industry; I'm equally tired of seeing only "the best" titles come out on Blu-ray.
Actually, Jayden's 1st anal was in Big Wet Asses 17, which was released on Blu-Ray. I too wish Unleashed had been released on Blu-Ray as well: it's my favorite Superstar September movie to date.
My apologies! Of course Jayden's first anal was in BWA17. It is still an awesome movie with plenty of anal action from Jayden. Damn, there's even threesomes with the likes or Phoenix Marie, and the legendary Tori Black! Elegant Angel seriously need to go back and release some of their back catalogue. It's such a waste for them not to be released in the highest quality available to us. I'd buy them all.
And since everybody seems to insist on using single-layered Blu-rays with low bitrates anyway, this could be a great chance to put two features on a dual-layered Blu-ray Disc: Let Me Jerk You 1 & 2, for example. You could even cut out the bumpers and BTS and just cram three to four hours worth of scenes on there. The possibilities are endless.
I'm sorta surprised people care that much about porn on Blu-ray. I understand people wanting the best picture but I'm surprised they'd be willing to pay the extra money for it. Personally, it's not a big deal to me. If porn was at the point where it was like mainstream where the price for Blu-ray wasn't that much more than DVD and Blu-ray offered extra content I'd be all for it. I buy DIGITAL PLAYGROUND movies from time to time and I play the Blu-ray dics because since I have it I might as well play that one but it's not that big a deal. There are times that I actually think the Blu-ray picture is too good for watching extreme close-ups. If I were given the choice of a regular HD DVD or paying more for the same thing on Blu-ray I'd rather save a few bucks with the HD DVD. When they first announced Blu-ray I was thinking we were going to be seeing all this extra content offered on the discs. I'm at the point that I'm usually buying Blu-ray for my mainstream movies but right now porn doesn't seem to offering more for that extra money other than a better picure which is fine if the price difference wasn't so big. Which business model would you like to see? Where other companies do like DIGITAL PLAYGROUND offers both in one package with every release charging slightly more? Offering both versions separately on the day of release? Waiting a few months later to release te Blu-ray version of their bigger sellers? Making special Blu-ray versions loaded with extras not found on the DVD versions for a higher price?
^I would like to see whichever business model helps us get the most titles on Blu-ray. But I'm personally surprised the American companies haven't started doing high-def compilations yet. There's an American-based distributor of uncensored Japanese porn that releases Blu-rays from different labels all the time. They must release ten per month from all the different companies they represent (Sky Angel Blue, Catwalk, S-Model, Encore, etc.), which are stocked at sites like Xonair and AVEntertainments, so there must be a market for Western titles as well (especially since uncensored Japanese porn is illegal in Japan) and again, personally, I would buy more if we got more variety, but the distinct lack of titles makes me not want to buy anything anymore.
