I like the style of bondage video which shows only the restrained girl in a number of tie-ups, showing detail from all angles and a variety of camera positions from close-ups to full-body shots. I believe that a beautiful woman is even more beautiful helplessly bound. I like the work of Matt Williams and Lew Reubens the best (kink.com). An attractive woman wriggling helplessly against rope, duct tape or handcuffs turns me on instantly. The more feminine and against type the girl seems to be (think Lorelei Lee), the more it turns me on I guess I am the only person here that can be turned on by an episode of Cops (the whole forced bondage thing does turn me on if it is an attractive woman in bondage, even though I would never force it on anyone myself). Add jail blues and it was almost an instant erection before erectile dysfunction took over and forced me to take Viagra before every sexual encounter. Leather and chains also worked well for that purpose.
For myself, the Hypnosis fetish is the only one I truly enjoy. Perhaps if the woman were tied up and forced to look at a flashing strobe or a Hypno-spiral image on a TV screen--and an off-camera voice says to her over and over, "You are here to serve--You are here to obey--You are here to fuck--You are here to be fucked--" and she repeats those words as two guys come in and DP her--that would be fun to watch. Or use the power of Hypnotic suggestion to bind her hands and feet with ropes and chains that aren't really there. Yes I'd watch that. But most videos just show the already-tied-up girl, presumably because it would be too awkward and time-consuming to show the actual restraining. I read an interview of a bondage video director who complimented Cathryn Beaumont for her patience and attitude. They said some of the elaborate rope ties took ~45minutes to complete, followed by the photo/video process, which requires additional time.
Forced sex is legally taboo, which makes bondage+sex a legally risky combination. Other than that, I have no problem mixing fetish and sex. Inflagranti studio has exquisite rubber fetish combined with all kinds of sex from normal to bizarre.
Caning IS nice but it takes a very specific kind of girl (the kind who REALLY likes pain, to be blunt) or otherwise anyone who films hard caning is taking a big legal risk. Look at Mood pictures. They took it to extremes and apparently even ignored safewords on camera. Not too bright.
I'm a fan of bondage, but I don't usually like any of the whipping, caning, etc. When someone appears unhappy during sex, it turns me off. Hello, I'm trying to track down a particular bondage scene from a movie. . .I believe it was an Elegant Angel film, and the scene featured Roxanne Hall with Ernest Greene, and led into a pairing with Roxanne and Mark Davis. It wasn't a bondage-specific movie, but rather one of their featured lines, like Sodomania, or Tales of Perversity. This is to the best of my recollection, and I'm sorry if any of this info is off.
