Can anything be done to stop all of these drug related deaths. Like atleast the agencies having some kind of wellness policy for their models(unless they alreeady do that?). So many od's the past few years.

This is so tragic, she was only 28 years old only a few months from her birthday. I remember her seeing for Blacked and she looked like the girl next door. Condolences to her family.
From what I'm reading she was still doing porn before her death and didn't like doing it anymore but only to paid for herfor families financial trouble. She wanted to quit porn but unfortunately once you do porn those scene are for life, and it get harder to look for a real job after leaving pornall they got to look up with your past. Once they don't like it anymore and want to leave, its no chance of leaving it. Some of them regret that decision, let's not forget it's the lifestyle they like getting involved in, drugs. Now there are many former adults poermfer who have done well after porn like Jenna Haze and Lisa Ann or most performer go to the onlyfan rotue.
This is similar to Kagney Linn Karter, who suffered the mental health issues but took her own life. Kylie had some serious drug issues, and several performers are trying to get her to rehab, including her mother. It's the same situation as Amy Winehouse, management team, her record label, and her family, repeatedly encouraged her to seek addiction treatment. This is directly referenced in her song, "Rehab," where she sang, "They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said, 'No, no, no'". But unfortunately, it was too late when she died at 27. Unfortunately, these agents don't take the wealth of these performers, but they advise them to get off drugs, but they don't do anything about it. Plus, she was only 28 which is a little close to my ages
Unfortunately, likely the best way to fix this is for society to destigmatize porn. The problem with that, ofc, is the industry itself needs to change the way it does things. I've said before that there are a lot of sites that promote a very toxic image. Read the write-ups for a scene on Exploited College Girls... Hell, the name itself implies a predatory angle that doesn't move the needle in the right direction.
This doesn't mean that porn has to go all vanilla and you could still do extreme things. But, sites like Kink.com do a GREAT job of promoting agency through their post-scene interviews with the actors and actresses. You really get the impression that it is a very safe space despite the hardcore nature of the scene itself. More like that and less like "This dumb chick doesn't know what she's getting into, so we're going to take advantage of her" which, even if it's all for show, still perpetuates a bad image for the industry and will continue to keep the stigma relevant. Which will continue the reality you speak of where, once you're in, you can't leave it. Which is particularly bad for an industry where you're already doing MILF stuff by the time you're in your mid 20s and there's very little room for performers over 30.
Unfortunately, these agents don't advise the girls, as they're more concerned about their actions when unsupervised, which isn't their responsibility. Her friends in the industry and her mom tried to get her into rehab, In any industry, whether entertainment, sports, or otherwise, free access to drugs is always available. Some performers have become clean and sober to overcome their drug use, as we've seen many times.
^I'm still not sure what your point is about their agents. Plus how do we know to what extent their advice/protection of models is? I would still think they're powerless regardless unless it's some kind of program and that would cost money. This business doesn't have a union.
I just came across this news reading an industry website after returning from a lengthy vacation and needless to say I'm shocked. My condolences to her family and friends.
It's so sad this business takes such a toll on so many performers but I'm not surprised knowing what we know now about brain development. Specifically, the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for higher-order cognitive functions such as decision-making, impulse control, and planning, undergoes significant development during the ages of 20-25 (as well as significant refining in other areas).
I just deleted all the scenes of hers from my collection as I have done for others who died under the same/similar circumstances. It's not the way I want to remember them.
