I really love good books about Porn so far I have read:

Pornstar -- by Ian Gittler 5 out of 5 ***** A perfect book in my opinion.

XXX : 30 Porn-Star Portraits -- by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders 3 out of 5 *** (not enough text, but the pictures were amazing!)

Traci Lords: Underneath It All -- by Traci Lords 2 out of five stars ** (What a crock of shit! All lies, but still semi-enjoyable, I did return it however after I read it because I did not want to support her in any fashion.)

and of course:
How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale -- by Jenna Jameson 4 out of 5 **** ( only because it is an Auto-biography and they always seem a little jaded, no one's fault but it is told by only one point of view)

Currently I am reading:
Lights, Camera, Sex! -- by Christy Canyon

Does anyone have any opinions about these books or better still, any recomendations?

I'd like to buy a book which covers the whole history of porn from the humble and illegal beginning right after the invention of the camera till today's porn.

I don't read much on porn, but I enjoyed Tristan Taormino's "True Lust: Adventures in Sex, Porn, and Perversion". Not a new book but a very good one I can recommend.

PORNSTAR by Ian Gittler was amazing. The two people I found the most interesting were Debi Diamond and Jon Dough. They were real and brave and the author, Gittler, could see he was not up to par. Though, I like the honesty Gittler showed.

I liked Jerry Butler's and Christy Canyon's books, too. Coming Attractions is good. So is The Other Hollywood.

I'll have to check out Pornstar one of these days.

Christy Canyon, and Jenna Jameson's books are pretty good. Havent read XXX, or Traci Lords. But have been wanting to.

Getting more intrested in Pornstar after all the reviews I've read.

Agree on Jerry Butler's book. The new Legs McNeil book "The Other Hollywood" is quite lengthy and gets into the organized crime aspect of porn more than you might like, but it's tough to put down.

As for Traci Lords' book, there's gotta be better fiction out there!
