According to adult industry sources, veteran performer and director Brandon Iron a.k.a. Brandon Irons has been missing for months and some fear he may have taken his own life.
A friend of Brandon Iron states that he died by his own hand in Dublin, Ireland, but this has not been independently confirmed.
The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada was born 51 years ago, on July 14, 1968. Irons' iafd page lists over 1200 performer credits.
"He makes a living off his content, so he really goes after tubes etc.", a source revealed. "Now it's all over the place. Meaning he is not protecting his income."
Not one of his close friends has heard from him in months. Not even Irons' video distributor has heard from him. Text messages and DMs to the missing 2018 AVN Hall of Famer have gone unreturned.
Peter Warren at AVN adds:
"Those who kept in contact with Iron regularly are highly concerned because they say it's unlike him not to respond immediately to messages. Their concern is heightened by the fact that companies who make regular revshare payments to him, in particular JM Productions and BrainCash, have been unsuccessful in delivering those payments since roughly the same time others lost contact with him."
Noooo....god...please tell me this isn't true!! It has been months since we last spoke which does seem a bit odd considering the regularity of our chats....but the last we spoke he seems elated to be a father and sounded to be enjoying Dublin as well.... If this really is true, I'm at a loss for words.... I first met Brandon in first months in the industry, contracted @ Redlight/Platinum X, back when the company was a power house; w/ Jake Malone (Parker Schuman, another close friend lost), Vince Voyeur, & Erick Everhard, just to name a few...It was really an unforgettable way to be introduced to the adult world. Every shoot I was in awe of watching these directors work. Lol and they all made me (who was never bashful b4 in my life) feel like a timid, shy little girl. After being "christened" as Bambi for a few movies, I desired a more fitting name, and hence the last name "Shy" came to be.
Brandon was always one of the directors I REALLY looked forward to shooting for...especially if he was male talent (which was more often than not the case). He was always smiling....always friendly & welcoming. He is/was just a genuinely pure hearted individual. I'll never forget when he suddenly had to leave the country... I wanted so badly to help him... We were texting about it, and out of nowhere I just typed "What if we get married?! Then can you stay??" I had pressed send before really even considering the gravity of the proposal...and I would very likely have gone through with it, but Brandon just sort of politely laughed it off, thanking me but assuring me that he would be just fine. He promised to keep in contact.... Before finally accepting this, I recall whining in protest, one last time... "but...but....Brandon....you can't fuck me with that beautiful huge cock of yours, all the way from Canada!!" I meant that too...the man was blessed in more ways than one.
As I'm writing this, The evidence that he really is gone is becoming more and more overwhelming.....
I just don't want to believe this....
It was sooo hard for me losing Parker (jake malone)....and now just years later, another wonderful person, that this world was sooo fortunate to have been graced with, has left us...
Brandon: To me, you were so much more than a handsome coworker... You were a creative artist bringing joy to people all over the world. You were a kind soul, a loving father.... A powerhouse in your own right. Most of all, you were my friend.
I'll miss you and remember you for the rest of my life.

^ "I'll never forget when he suddenly had to leave the country..."
If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason for him having to leave the country?
I've read several articles now. Nobody seems to know anything about his last days and why he decided to do this. If anybody can find anything It'd be appriciated.
^^ From my experience with people I've known personally who took their own lives, I've learned never to ask why because I will never find a rational or satisfactory answer since that person wasn't making a rational decision to find a permanent "solution" to what should be a temporary problem.
Two things in particular I remember from him on this forum. When rumors of Judy Star's untimely death started appearing, he was kicking up rocks trying to find any information. Also, in the Pornstars that look like Celebs thread, someone observed that he looked like Lee Harvey Oswald. He thought it was hilarious.
I won a trivia contest he ran on here and he sent me his latest release. I thought that was a cool thing. He wrote a nice note in the package also. Cool guy.

Kind, humble, funny, honest, so proud to be a dad. If you read through Brandon's posts you can see how the industry changed over the course of his career, how the piracy affected his ability to make a living,... and how he handled it all with humor. I'm shocked and really sorry that Brandon is gone.
Brandon was so poignant around here he scored 4 quote polls.
We're so sad to hear about Brandon, we heard the rumours and hoped they weren't true, but he hadn't been active online anywhere since mid April so there was concern. Brandon was a legend in the industry as we all know, and a big supporter of ours being one of the earliest members to join the site. He also attended one of the shoots last year, and met several of our representitives. I talked with him on several occasions, and he was always so full of life and cracking jokes about everything, and he was especially proud of being a father.
RIP Brandon, you deserved better my friend.

I dont want to go too much into detail but all i can say for myself ... when you get older ... you start to wonder how you are gonna leave this planet when time is up or you feel like it is.
And pulling your own plug is an option not too many people may find appealing. Afterall its a personal decision ... (if you dont have issues that kind of remote control you)
^^The same one who went looking for him and eventualy found him dead?

I know him mostly from interacting with him on xpt. He was obviously smart, at least smarter than most porn stars. He had a great sense of humor and seemed quite grounded. I'm totally nonplussed by this.

Heard the rumours but didn't realize it had been confirmed. Very sad, Brandon did several classic scenes with Annette Schwarz for Mason and Jake Malone. Malone also took his life not that long ago.
