Tried to join Brazzers last night, and it would not accept this Visa card. I did check and have plenty of balance available.I noticed that under Brazzers US billing info, it shows an Ireland billing bank. Gift card says valid only in U.S. Does anyone know a way around this problem? By the way, used the same card to join Naughty America with no problems. Thanks in advance [Link] |

Give Videobox their due - they make it very easy to cancel - just a couple of clicks on their website. Until adult paysites get their act together and start acting like proper businesses - rather than scam artists, i'll continue to be very cautious and selective. I don't know why they can't accept one off payments from the likes of Paypal..........most other businesses seem to manage fine. |

In fact, I did not even enter my real name for the "name on credit card". I used a fictitious name for the credit card and the transaction went through. I never have to register the prepaid credit card (with the credit card issuing institution) in all these paysites prepaid credit card transactions, but if one day, the transaction failed, I would probably register prepaid credit card to see if will help. Again, I don't need to use my real name because there is no way the credit card issuing institution can verify the name (you can purchase the prepaid credit card and gift it to anyone, that anyone can register the prepaid credit card), so long the name registered for the prepaid credit card matches with the name of prepaid credit card you enter on the paysite purchase form, I would expect the transaction to go through. |

Really a scummy way to do business and a sure way to lose consumers. Then they wonder why people go to pirate/ free sites. |

This will be just like buying something from Amazon.com, why would they need the SSN for? Some paysite asked for "Name on Credit Card", the name embossed on the pre-paid credit card is "Valued Cardholder" or something like that. In this case, I filled in as "John Whatever-Doe" and because it is impossible for them to verify the name of the person on a pre-paid credit card, there are no issues with that and the credit card transaction was approved. There is no concern about "fraud". You used a legitimately purchased pre-paid credit card. The funds in the credit card belongs to you. Who is going to file a complaint? The paysite? They don't care if the name on the "Join" form is real or not, as long as the credit card transaction is approved, they are happy to take the money. For that reason, they allow people to use pre-paid credit card. The card issuer ? Why is the card issuer going to file a complaint if the you, the owner of the funds in the credit card, did not complain or the paysite did not complain? There is very little chance if anyone is going to file a complaint. Besides, pre-paid credit card can be given to anyone, a lot of companies are buying them and giving out to their employees as rewards. The person who purchased the pre-paid credit card may not be the end-user at all. The pre-paid credit card could have been gifted to anyone, and anyone could use the pre-paid credit card. It will be quite impossible for any party to verify if that name being used on that pre-paid credit card. Some pre-paid credit card allows you to register the card. If you do register the card, you can still use a "fake name" to register (the card issuer will never know if the name is real or fake as the pre-paid credit card can be gifted to anyone, that anyone can register the card, the card issuer has no basis to question that anyone if he is who he said he is). When you register the card using a fake name, the name you use on the paysite Join form, should match this name. If you do register the pre-paid credit card using a fake name and if you lose the pre-paid credit card, there is little chance of recovering the funds in the pre-paid credit card because you are not likely able to prove who you are since the name is fake. In any case, just put enough money on that pre-paid credit card for one month or however long you want to subscribe. I normally just do a one-month subscription, it costs about $18 a month so I just buy a $25 pre-paid credit card. The pre-paid credit card fee, in my case, is $4 so my total cost for the card is less than $30. Even if something happens and I lose the pre-paid credit card, it is only $30. So I wouldn't worry about fraud or losing the money in the pre-paid credit card. I don't bother to register the pre-paid credit cards I bought. I was prepared to take a chance and my loss would be $30 or less. I would never use my real name or credit card info on paysites and I have subscribed to many paysites, both USA and European paysites, using a fictitious name and a pre-paid credit card.
