Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where this should go. Basically, two years ago I signed up for a 5-year subscription at Brazzers. At the time this subscription included downloads. Everything's worked fine the last two years, and now Brazzers updated their site and are now charging extra for downloads, even though my original subscription included them. Emailed and was told to contact Chat. Contacted Chat and was told that my subscription didn't include downloads even though it had for the prior 2-years. Basically was told there was nothing they would do about it except offer a few free months of downloads or offer to charge me $230 (almost as much as my original 5-year subscription!) for downloads for the remaining 3 years.

Does this not seem like a scam to anyone else? I fully understand that many sites have gone to a "pay for streaming, pay extra for downloads" model, and I've done that with both BangBros and AdultTime when I signed up for them; but I signed up with Brazzers with a subscription that already included downloads and now after 2-years they're trying to claim it didn't. Seems like complete BS to me.

Had the same issue with the update on the site. I talked to someone in the chat and just told them I was going to cancel my membership (since 2012) because of it. They were kind enough to give me the download option back and even offered me a good deal for another 5 year membership.
Maybe I got lucky.

I hope you didn't accept the 5-year offer! Seems like once they have you for that long they really don't give a shit about you as a customer anymore. I said I would dispute it with my CC company but given how long ago it was I doubt they can do anything. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to resort to pirating. I don't know why P companies insist on shafting it to paying customers when all it does is drive them to pirate.

This sucks. You had a contract and they amended the terms. You should be grandfathered in and have downloads. I agree that this is a terrible way to treat paying customers.

These porn sites doing these things are writing their own obituaries.

More money in the short term? Yes.

Huge loss of subscribers in the long term? Yes. Just look at Netflix. Did anyone really see what was coming for them?
