That's got to be complete hogwash, right?

Yet, that's what's being reported on Luke Ford.

Supposedly porn producers are lining up to pay black stud Brian Pumper $13,000 for one scene! This is a joke, right? Most female talent get about $1,200 to do one anal scene. How can a male talent, even a popular one, command $13,000 for just one scene when most male talent earn considerably less per scene than what female talent earn?

I read in this forum a post from Slain Wayne that he would not be hiring Brian Pumper because he couldn't afford Brian's exorbitant rates.

Can this all be real? Or did someone spike my drink?

Be afraid...be very afraid.

What's the going rate for one scene from a male performer?

But I do remember Slain mentioning something along those lines.

If this is true, may I say damn, and ask if his dick is insured?

I can't believe this... seems like they added a zero, as 1300 sounds more realistic.

PornManiac, please don't misunderstand. I'm not trying to take anything away from Brian. He does seem to be a cut above the pack, but $13,000 a scene! I think P-Knuckle might be on to something. Maybe they added a zero by mistake, but even $1,300 would be more than twice the going rate for male talent (if what I've read in the past is true).

At $13,000 per scene, if Brian did just eight scenes in one month (which is only two scenes per week), he would pull down $104,000 in just one month! That CAN'T be right. The economics of the situation just don't add up to me. This is porn, not the NBA.

This has got to be hype or something. If it's real, then I need to head to the gym with a great big bottle of vitamins and then in a couple of months give World Modeling Agency a call.

If it ain't a joke it should be. Money should be spent on
getting top female talent in the business who most guys would love to be with. I'd almost like to see this this guy take a fucking hike for a
a while. Let him work in Walmart. (Where another porn
talent was still holding his job for a while...just in case.) The whole thing is ridiculous.

Actually Slain Wayne stated that he read on Luke Ford that Brian Pumper's rate was really high, not that he himself was told that by Pumper. In any rate $13K seems way too high for any guy in one scene given the current reported pay rates, although I have no problem whatsoever with any guy or girl making as much money as possible. I really like Pumper but if he is getting $13K then Lex has to be getting $15K per scene, although Pumper is quickly moving up the top guys charts.

Hey, maybe the males are finally getting the recognition they deserve instead of being window dressing to the eye candy. Let us examine the economics of porn. We will do a double everything gangbang with Brian as the bottom stud. The other 11 guys get $10,000 each and Brian gets $13,000. The total cost for the males is $123,000. The female gets $3,000 for the gangbang and it now costs $126,000. We need to have 2 such scenes in a title and the cost for the title is $252,000. Assuming that the title sells 10,000 copies (a lot by porn standards), the title will cost the buyer $25.20 for just the shooting excluding any duplication, production costs, and profit. The street pice will be $2500, Naa -- the porn is too damn expensive. I rather buy titles for $20 and let the poor male talents make less. I cannot afford NBA prices in porn.
ROTFLMAO --Jayde, we can have virtual dinner followed by phone sex. Just stare at the image and get hungry. I can find more virtual images to "buy" you dinner.

Here comes the negativity!! I actually don't like Mr Pumper. I've seen him a few times and even in Flesh Hunter 3 I thought he sucked.

Compare his scene in FH3, with Lex's scene with Alexa Rae in Impaler 2. Lex's was so much better. I think Brian lacks the intensity - in my opinion he's Mr Marcus' afterbirth.

snowden got it right about Pumper, his FH3 scene was less than stellar, did too much slow fucking and not enough intense pounding. And people think the guy in a scene does not matter, bullshit. You can have the best looking girl in the world in a scene, but if you have a scrub banging her, forget about it, it'll suck.
I still wonder why Mandingo does not have a bigger profile than he does. He should be in Lex's category as far as exposure goes, but maybe Lex just works harder at getting his image and name out there and known.
Where the hell is Lex The Impaler #3? I'm hoping that series is not done with.

It's more likely that Pumper makes $13,000 a year. Male performers only get about $400 a scene...I think people like Randy Spears only gets like $600.

For heaven's sake, the co-stars of The Sopranos (Stevie VanSant, Jamie Lynn Siegler, etc.) only get about $30,000 per episode!

Naa, that's much too low. Let's use $500 per scene (the average of $400 and $600) as a frame of reference. If Brian does eight scenes per month, that comes out to:

8 X $500 = $4,000 per month.

$4,000 X 12 = $48,000 per year.

But the above doesn't even take into account other means of income, such as magazine work. And because of Brian's popularity, he's probably doing *more* than eight scenes a month and his going rate is almost certainly more than $500 per scene (but it can't be even remotely close to $13,000 per scene, right?).

I don't want to say that it's NOT true, but show me the money as they say. Brain is a good guy, but if he's worth 13K, then what are Lex, Erik, Rocco, Mandingo and the like going to be pulling in?

Inflation man....

OK...so the stud's of the industry make 13 large a scene. I have not been in ANY porn movie, but I'll consider myself a bench warmer. Give me league minimum - $500 a scene with the likes of Inari, Cameron, Aurora, etc...

I may not be Barry Bonds a hit homers, but I'll put out the singles no problem...

$13,000 is bloody ridiculous!! Even $1000 is stupid.

OK, these guys shag the girls senseless and it looks good on screen. But, what would you pay to get into their knickers? I know, I certainly would (and sometimes do).

They should be happy enough with just the pleasure, let alone the ridiculous amount of money offered.

sir_cumshooter,

Now I don't mean to bring this thread off topic, and I have no way of knowing whether Brian makes $13,000 or $130 per scene. (I really doubt it's $13,000 though). I will say this, however. Despite what it might look like. What these guys do is work. Yes they're having sex with beautiful women, and yes I'm sure that has its perks, but unless they really ARE making $13,000 per scene, these guys don't have the luxury of NOT working. After so much sex, and the pressure of keeping it hard, and the need to cum on cue, this can take its toll. I remember reading something a long time ago from a male porn star that basically said after so much sex, they basically become very desensitized, both mentally and physically, to the sensation of it. Even orgasm is much more work than it is pleasure. And if I truly sit back and try to put myself into the male porn star's shoes, I can certainly start to understand what that means.

It takes a special kind of man to do what the top guys in this industry can do--not only in terms of physical demands, but also in terms ot establishing good working relations with the constant stream of new women who come in and out, and in terms of performing so that the scene LOOKS good for you and me.

While I don't think Brian makes $13,000 per scene, I don't think it's accurate to say that these people don't work (and sacrifice more than we might want to admit) for the money they do get--both the men and the women.

Comeon.... all you guys gotta use your brain. It's MUCH closer to $130 than $13,000. The budget ALL the performers in the typical porn film is less than $13,0000. Sheesh.

Snowman, go back and read the posts. Most people weren't buying that $13,000 figure, including myself. That's what I meant when I said that the economics of the situation don't add up and that this is porn, not the NBA.

I would estimate that Brian Pumper, given his popularity at the moment, might be earning something like $750 per scene. He's probably earning at least $6,000 per month if he's doing at least two scenes per week. And if he's supplementing his movie income with magazine work, he could be earning per month what would *annualize* to a six-figure income.

Fuck it! Just pay the man. He's got the goods. Too often guys in this business have one thing but are missing others. Brian has the total package...good sized dick, good come shot, good personality, and he can put a few good sentences together during an interview. I want to see what he can do behind the camera.

Let's face it, the bench strength with regards to male porn talent is pretty weak. Pay the man, we know it's not $13k, but whatever it is, it's money well spent.
