Hello all. I've been a silent reader for a while and enjoy the threads in the forums.
I'm a freelance writer with a stake in a Website catering to men and I want to slowly incorporate more adult content into our offerings. We're currently in the middle of 'Sex Week' and if the traffic is good (and I'm hoping it is), I'd like to interview porn stars more often.
My questions to the ADT community are:
Do you all think the public would go for coverage on porn stars on a somewhat regular basis if the interviews are tastefully done (or is this a pipe dream of mine that I should discard)?
and
If so, who should I be looking to interview? Any feedback is much appreciated.
So far, we've run Scott Lyons and Chastity Lynn and Jazmine Ryderr. We'll be running a two part Q&A with John Stagliano next week.

Maybe Bree Olsen or Capri Anderson, they are already getting some "mainstream" exposure, thanks to one mr. Sheen.

I am not sure how "mainstream" porn stars can go in the real sense. Sure, people will read interviews with porn stars and watch reality shows with porn stars (usually in the role of escorts/strippers etc) because of the sleazy interest or thrill. It is this which the producers hope to exploit to bring in more readers/viewers.

Understandable.
I try to do the best I can to avoid the sleazy interest aspect of it in the sense that I try to present subjects with some degree of seriousness. Not seriousness in the sense that I want to paint anybody as a damaged soul as some folks in the press like too do, but seriousness in the sense that like everybody else, people that do porn are as human as the rest of us. And for many, seeing porn stars as more human is a revolutionary act on its own unfortunately.

Mobsters engaged in the illegal, have been glamorized for years. Therefore I don't see how portraying people performing in a legal industry, although unsavory to some, as fringe mainstream is an unrealistic leap.

I am not at all opposed to interviewing porn stars, even if it is to arouse the thrill of the readers. I was just wondering wether it was really "mainstream". I think "mainstream" means a porn star being admitted to a non-porn role.

In my opinion, what makes an interview with a porn star 'sleazy' has everything to do with the line of questioning.
If you ask a star "what's your favorite sex position?", "how often do you masturbate", "how many guys have you done at once?", well... you get the idea.
If you want to know what's going on inside her head, then ask her. THAT'S an interview I'd click over to read.

Thats a great idea. Everyone benifits from a tasteful interview with talent. I enjoy the rush in sales whenever a Pornstar has been on main stream media. Since Sasha Grey has been out I can't keep her pussy on the shelf! (the molded one by Doc Johnson) More people have come in looking for these paticular women.I hope it works out either way.

I don't think there's a simple answer for that. Pornstars are like any other celeb/person in that some are interesting to hear from and some aren't. It also matters what type of questions are asked. If you're going to always ask the typical pornstar type questions over and over again it could get old/boring really fast.
If you're looking for a girl who give you the best interview I'd think the girs who do more than just porn shoots would be the most interesting. A girl who shoots porn scenes for companies, feature dances, have directed or would like to, runs her own website, or even escorts would be a better interview than a typical hot girl who only shoots typical porn scenes because they have more stories and insights to offer.
I'd purposely switch it up between newer girls and girls who've done this for years because they'll both have different perspectives.

Just saw a clip of this on fleshbot , they said she is refusing to promote it. Whats the story , and is she trying to go mainstream like Sasha ?
