Extreme Associates was known for extreme content in their films, hence the name. I have a couple of their films from the old days, and I personally didn't enjoy them...just my opinion. He is currently a director, as well, including films like "Birds of Prey XXX" (in which Brooklyn had a large role--I didn't see it.) He was prosecuted by the feds for obscenity--a case that went on for years--and ultimately took a plea deal, as opposed to Stagliano (who took his case to trial and won--though it didn't get to the point of a jury decision b/c the gvt. botched its case) and Max Hardcore (who took his case to trial and lost--spending a few years in prison). Due to this plea, Black spent some time in jail (~1 year, I believe). His wife, Lizzy Borden, was also charged with obscenity and took the same (or similar) plea. She is a long-time actress and director in the industry. She is back in the industry, as well. Nikki Charm is a very long time actress in the industry (started in the 80s). She has made something of a comeback, as well, as of late. I read that she is now working as an assistant to Black. I believe that this was on AdultFYI recently, but don't quote me. The owner of AdultFYI, Gene Ross, used to work with Black and was part of AVN a good time ago. Black has a new radio show on the internet now. I don't know how wide the listenership is. It is from this show that his comments have sparked this exchange with Brooklyn. Apparently, he made some negative comments about her, and she responded...and it goes from there. From what I have seen (just my opinion), it seems that Black likes to stir the pot in a negative way. Over the years, I recall issues with Tiffany Mynx, AVN, etc. ... and I have heard that his comments in a documentary about the gvt. may well have been what brought the heat down on him in regards to the obscenity stuff. I personally have not developed a positive opinion of him--even prior to this run-in with Brooklyn--but I certainly don't believe that he should have been prosecuted for obscenity. I don't believe that any content involving consenting adults should be prosecuted. If one looks at the synopses of Black's radio show that have appeared on AdultFYI, it's pretty clear that he's stirring the pot with a variety of industry people. (my opinion) Whether this is in his nature, calculated to get ratings, or both, I have no idea. Doing searches on Wikipedia and iafd for the relevant players would add to the background info...assuming that Wikipedia has its details right. All is well...the adult industry is simply no longer a place I belong or wish to be. There has been some speculation that I quit because of my long-time boyfriend, who is a figure behind the scenes in the industry. I would love to tell you that I am a fully liberated woman who does what she pleases and can easily separate work life from home. I won't lie to you. While the man that I love never once asked me to quit performing, I did do so in part because of him. When you reach a point where you loathe heading to set because there's only one person in the world you have any desire to have sex with, it's time to move on from sex work...so I did. I take with me many fond memories and unique experiences; I wish the very best to my friends that remain in adult. I came, I saw, I conquered...and now I'm done. Not to worry, though. I have Green Door coming out in September from Vivid. I would say that it's the best work I've ever done. Nothing I could ever do could compete with it...so why bother :p? But there are somethings that i´d like to say... It´s difficult to accept that such a good performer it´s done of the adult industry so soon in their carrer. I expected that you would stay for many years in the industry ...as a performer, as a director...whatever. I say this because you seemed to me a really pioneer not just a pretty face( no disrepect for no one). I a surprised with this decision...you just won Best New Starlet in 2012, that´s last year...what about Female Performer of the year ...i think that sooner or later you would win it.
