I suppose there are some nuggets among the dross. I have a fond recollection of a 3 girl slutfest in a junkyard, with lots of oil slobbered about, and a mercurial Debi Diamond going over the top. Can't think of the name of the movie though.

I think the first B7 movie I ever saw was Ginger On The Rocks, way back in the mid-80's. It would be considered tame by todays standards (some might say lack of standards!), but at the time, I thought the double dildo scene with Ginger and Amber Lynn was pretty hot.

What I like is that the females are more sexually aggressive than most of today's stuff, and the men less repressed.

I just saw Ginger On The Rocks (on a borrowed tape), and it was much better. I agree, that scene with Amber Lynn was smoking hot, even though I'm not much into g/g.

From a historical point of view, Seven may be the most important figure in hardcore in the last 25 years. First, he was one of the directors who broke the video format onto the commercial marketplace in the early 1980's; early stuff like Aerobisex Girls and Loose Ends proved that people would buy shot-on-video en masse when many critics claimed video would never be accepted by fans, given the dropoff in technical quality from film. Second, in many ways he was a mentor to John Stagliano, and formed Evil/Elegant Angel with him in 1989. And you know where that went (Patrick Collins, who started by working on a few of Bruce's fetish videos and then became his business manager, eventually assumed control of Elegant Angel later on, but that is a long and nasty tale). Seven had a large impact on both Stagliano's style as well as countless other video shooters during the era. It is not inaccurate to call him the spiritual godfather of shot-on-video wall-to-wall and gonzo as we see it today. As you may have noticed even from the Ginger videos (a few of which at least had the barest thread of plot to them), Seven liked young looking girls and constant action (and oil, oil, and more oil). He really was at his best in g/g and bondage stuff; I don't think regular b/g scenes did much for him. He usually preferred group/orgy action where studs were involved, and he was one of the early video guys who popularized anal sex. The Loose Ends series represents him best in this regard. Buttslammers is the best of a long line of outstanding plotless g/g romps. Buttman Vs. Buttwoman was a project he worked on with Stagliano, and is in some ways a passing of the torch from one man to the next. Taking It to The Limit was the final series of gonzo-styled sex vignettes Seven directed, but he was crippled by a series of strokes around this time, and Bionca did a lot of the work, under his watchful eye of course. The softcore bondage stuff is worth watching, for fans who like the genre; Kim Wylde started out with Seven, as I recall.

Well aside from the useless information I just provided back to Bruce Seven.

Bruce Seven went where others feared in "his day." Not only did he push the boundaries but he set a standard for a high level of quality. Although he made a lot of movies it didn't seem like he was pumping them out for a quota. Bruce Seven was a true artist who cared about his work. It wasn't about being "harder" than anybody else, he filmed what he liked and was VERY good at it.

Question: How many of Bruce Seven's movies featured first's? (In a blown out of proportion marketing scheme)

I have never seen a boxcover on a Bruce Seven movie that clearly states something like..., ah you know what I mean, I don't want to piss anybody off.

It just seems to me that when a person is under the gun to produce x amount of movies for x amount of dollars that the quality might take the back seat.

My favourite movie from him would be "Corruption" (coast to coast), some very hot scenes in that one!
