Speaking of 4-Play. I wonder if Ed Powers will release his Bus Stop Tales serie on DVD. I hope he will.

This man was my guide into porno perversion! He led me to (not through) the inferno!!! Almost any kind of sex scene or sex act that I currently derive fetishistic enjoyment from watching I saw first in a Bruce Seven video. Luckily, I have my old, disintegrating copies of most of this stuff. But as a porno-socio-cultural matter, it strikes me as almost sacrilegious that current newcomers to adult videos have no opportunity to gape (yes, gape) in slack-jawed lust and wonder at, for instance, any of the 5 volumes of the ground-breaking "Loose Ends" series. Does anyone know whether Mark Arnold/Ed Powers has any plans to re-issue Bruce's old 4-Play titles? Are the rights to them for sale? Because this terrible situation almost makes me want to become a boutique porn distributor myself! That would almost certainly be a losing proposition for me economically (and my wife would doubtless divorce me in a New York minute), but what a sad waste if no one re-releases these classic gems! Is this a lost cause? Is it fated that some of Bruce's best skin flicks will be consigned henceforward and forevermore to anonymity? Can such things be???!!! Someone help me, please! ----------------------------------------------------------- P.S. -- This is weird! Just after I posted this thread, I read this thread. It seems that I'm not the only person with Bruce Seven on the brain. Maybe all of us afficionados should form "The Society for the Preservation (and DVD Transfer) of Bruce Seven Videos"!

| Bob All-Star Member 5516 Posts 3/03 | This is a real bitch, isn't it??!! If Bruce's old 4-Play titles are never going to be re-released (and assuming that adequate video mastertapes for them still exist, so that they could be re-released without requiring costly restoration expenses in addition to the cost of straight DVD authoring), I wonder how much Mark Arnold/Ed Powers would sell this part of his video library for??? And what's the cost on a per video basis of good DVD authoring (forget unit manufacturing costs for the moment)? Any thoughts/information/guesses? Does anyone have a Mark Arnold/Ed Powers connection if I were crazy enough to try to follow up on this personal crusade? |
