Sorry, I don't check this thread very often so I have to ask: Is HUHS dead? The last regular release was on March 30. Since then only behind the scenes. Is this still due to Covid? Other porn companies manage to have recent new scenes.
^ It's a matter of some debate but I don't think the site is dead. Yes, the last sex scene was put up in March (Harmony Wonder) and everything since has been BTS stuff. I presume it's because all shooting has stopped and it is unlikely that HUHS had a reserve of scenes for things like this. The positive signs are that we are getting those updates. We're getting two per week. That indicates to me that the site is alive and waiting out the current storm. In fact, the weekly BTS update just went up a short while ago. They are Naomi Blue and Vanna Bardot.
There's also signs of it returning sooner or later as well, at least in my estimation, they cleaned up some site design along with the last BTS scenes being released. At the top of the screen, the "Forum" link has been removed, the forum I take had turned into a bit of a shit show and had been shut for some months now, though with this update it's no longer an option to even click, just removed. As well, even though the scenes had the ability to comment turned off, again as they were turning into a shit show from a few bad apples, they comment sections had been left up and the Comment Box as well left, you could type up a comment but not post it. They've cleaned that up and removed the Comment Box in it's entirety beneath the scenes. To my mind if they had just intended on leaving the site up as a cash grab for X amount of time they'd not be taking the time to perform site maintenance and clean up of that nature. Just my .02 copper pieces.

Well, thought I'd bump the thread with the update announcement, BTS stuff yet again sadly, as of the the 16th, Vera King and party two of Khloe Kapri's BTS. I've been asking around more and more for any hints, or over on Evil Angel's site on various scenes they bring from HUHS, if any new scenes are in the works - no reply, no news, nothing. Bryan just released a HUHS DVD through Evil Angel's site, having the last three girls he filmed and released hardcore scenes with on it - Harmony Wonder, Kenzie Reeves and Alice Pink, back in March. With that being released, and no news of anything having been shot and held back, if he's not shooting anymore scenes that'll be the last DVD from HUHS. Though they made those changes to the site, the redesign a few weeks ago, personally starting to lose hope that HUHS will be back. I see Twitter status updates from sites and talent saying they're filming and/or in the valley to film - folks are performing and ready, when we going to see some new scenes, or are we (Bryan, if you're lurking)? And if the plan is to no longer update but keep the site up as a cash grab, be mighty fine if there's a reduction in membership price, assuming there really is no new content set to be produced for it.

Twelve (maybe thirteen) days since the last update (BTS stuff) - Bryan if you're lurking would you consider dropping something soon, BTS or otherwise? Long-term members, has there been more than a two-week period with no updates?
^ No. This is the longest dry spell since the pandemic hit. But since this is pretty much a one-man show Bryan has gone for a couple of weeks without an update before. I assumed he was on vacation the times that happened in the past.
BTS updates are up, as of this morning. I noticed an oddity about them though - they are dated improperly, both state "Oct. 15" on them, instead of today, "Oct. 6". Could be a simple error. Could be the scheduled updates were pushed back that long and they decided to bump it up, for whatever reason, and didn't change the date (from 15th to today, the 6th). Kira Noir and Maya Bijou are the two BTS updates. Was really hoping for a surprise HC update - I'm sure that's old hat for those members who've been there for a while now. Kind of feels like the porn world is starting to open back up again - I see shoots being made, announcements on Twitter about girls ready to shoot, coming to X area for X days, I've seen stuff that has been shot in the past couple months being released - was hoping that might be extended to the ol' HUHS world too.

But we're in early days of the recovery so I'm still holding out hope. The BTS scenes being uploaded are a sign that the lights are still on.
But... I will admit to some concern for smaller sites. Two of my favourites, HUHS and Amateur Allure, are basically one-man shows. I really, really hope to see both recover and come back strong when the pandemic is over.

If you read back on this thread there have been occasional suggestions (back before the pandemic) that Bryan needs to broaden his choice of models and bring in some older ones, some curvier ones and even some MILFs. But... I don't share that sentiment. In my opinion HUHS was built on a specific formula and a huge part of that formula is the look of the models. The morally correct thing is honesty but the correct business decision is to remain quiet and I think he should remain quiet. If you are a fan and haven't seen a new update in months and still want to join then you should already know what you are getting into. If you are a newbie who is just now discovering the site then you should do some research first and decide which join option is good for you.
No one who takes five minutes to think about joining or renewing can claim to have been shafted because everything they needed to know is visible on the site.
I'm not extremely invested since I'm no longer subbed, but I don't consider the creator prioritizing his income over honesty about the direction, stability and content of the site a good thing. It's his prerogative as site owner about what announcement he makes, but I believe this behavior is in poor taste. Part of subscribing to and maintaining subscription to a site is the expectation of upcoming updates. His unwillingness to clarify the situation is taking advantage of those not in the know (Imagine a naive consumer happening upon the site not knowing it's BTS for the foreseeable future) and being unnecessarily silent.
Of course people would ask him when he will next release scenes. People reasonably ask the people they're paying for content when there will be new content. For me, in this matter, he doesn't have a leg to stand on, and has gone from someone I respect and who's content I enjoy to someone I'm disappointed in and suspicious of.

That's going to happen, or is happening already, when people who catch on to what's happening face that decision when it's time to renew or sign up. For folks with memberships (checking in) if it's nothing but a steady diet of BTS until it's time to renew, with nary a word from the content creator if there will be more actual scenes, that's going to be a tough sell. Granted, I'm there for quite a few months yet, but, when my membership comes up for renewal and there's been no communication and nothing but BTS (which will eventually stop/run out) then I will not be renewing the membership, it's as simple as that. The user ^ above me I think has a well reasoned take on this issue. This is one area where I feel a lot of content producers could do a helluva lot better at - communicating with their customer base what's going on.
Actually, the correct business decision is exactly the opposite.
After not hearing any news on the site for a few months, evidence of held back scenes and only BTS content being posted, I cancelled my membership back in June.
Had Bryan put up a post saying "Hey guys, Covids making it hard to work, but I'll be back as soon as possible. In the mean time enjoy the BTS content." I would have kept my subscription going, since it's not a huge monthly ask and it supports a content creator that's doing something unique.
That's what customer loyalty is. You don't maintain that by going radio silent. People don't hear from you they end up going, "What am I paying for, exactly?"
My money has now gone to another site and I'll see how soon I come back if the new content ever does.

I think Gozzling has been caught in the flak going on at Gamma. I am sure Pure Taboo and maybe Girlsway have been boycotted by agents and performers. No girls under 23 have been appearing. Codey Steele at 31 is playing teenagers to milfs.
Gammas answer seems to be employing female directors at Pure Taboo; Whitney Wright, Joanne Angel, Casey Calvert and recently Kay Brandt to regain some credibility.
Bryan as a one man band dosen't have that option. My subscription ran out in March. None of the BTS scenes are being pirated like the old ones were.
I haven't really missed the site tbh, during its lack of updates because of lockdown.
I used to be a fan when the site first got launched, but it became very repetitive in the past 2 years, plus my tastes have changed, so I cancelled my subscription just before lockdown.

Working my way through the catalog and it appears that I've gotten locked out for downloading too much? I've a year long membership I purchased about two months ago and have been steadily downloading, through the daytime only, scenes. Doing so today, out of nowhere DLs break at 754 bits, videos won't load (black screen with an X on it). (Evil Angel and Adult Time downloads are fine and unaffected, not a bandwidth or connection issue) Contacted support, still awaiting word from them but I figured I'd check here and see if any other members have any similar issues currently, or have had similar issues in the past, or if they really did lock me out for downloading even though the year long membership includes Unlimited Downloads at any resolution (tells you this not just at signup but below the download links on every scene, what level your membership supports, here's the quoted one from mine, on a random video, "Your subscription allows unlimited downloads at any resolution!").
^^ I was a member awhile back, and don't remember dl problems. But as I have been home for months and dealing with a few sites, your dl's are always monitored.
From my experience there are a few sites that will get weird if you use idm, or any other dl aggregator/accelerator. They hate that shit and will make your dl experience less than fun.
Maybe Duke or Brandon will jump in and explain why.
