Judge for yourself in the market of DVD rentals. They have so many solid advantages and worth the time to "check out".

Hey, while there's a fresh new BushDVD thread, I've got a question for Jason or other Bush employees who may be around here: When are you going to have more than 24 Blu-ray titles? I don't have a rental plan with anyone right now, since I've been really busy with school. I was thinking of coming back to BushDVD since they include Blu-rays in their monthly plan, but the selection is really tiny, especially considering it looks like some good stuff is coming out in HD these days.
Any insider info on your near-future Blu-ray stock?

We haven't been very aggressive in adding Blu-Ray titles because as you know they are fairly expensive...even for us. But we have been trying to add certain titles as customers request them.

Well, I was just coming on here to praise Bush DVD. I only heard about them when I joined this site a few weeks ago. I ordered some videos (8 for $35) for stocking stuffers Thursday evening. Got an email under an hour later that they had shipped and they were in my mailbox this morning (from the West Coast to the suburbs of Philly). I'm pleased Hopefully someone else will be on Christmas morning as well

Not liking the new web page layout at bushdvd for the individual movie details. We now only see the image of the front cover, and in order to get a look at the back cover, or larger views of the covers, we are required to use the awkward "isee" viewing tool. This is bad.
Previously, it was far more convenient to see both covers at once and to take a quick closer inspection by clicking on the hyperlinks to larger jpg images of the front and back cover. Very disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback.
We are making some adjustments so viewing the boxcovers is less awkward.

I agree, I don't like it either..also, when checking your queue, you can't see the name of the movies on your list and the status at the same time..you have to scroll to the right and you lose the name of the movie.

Jason,
Thanks for the sincere consideration of my criticism. Since I made a public complaint, it is important that I also publicly acknowledge when the issue has been addressed. I am very, very pleased with the current "adjustment" that I see on the bushdvd web site at this time. It addresses both issues that I raised in a manner that I find helpful, hopefully others will also find this helpful. Specifically, the back cover is viewable with merely a "mouse-over" on the front cover. In addition, the hyperlink to the larger view is a simple, convenient pop-up window with a larger .jpg in it. I hope this is the version that you and the other good folks at bushdvd are converging upon.
Again, I appreciate your consideration of customer input on this matter.

Hey, can anyone tell me why Bush no longer is getting the new releases of Red Light District?? RLD always has the hottest newbies in the biz..Bush hasn't brought in their new releases since at least March. If anyone from Bush is listening, can you help out?? I don't want to move to another rental site..I've always had great service from Bush.

Hey Flyguy,
Please send a list of titles you would like us to add to suggestions [at] bushdvd.com for movies that have already been released. I'll see what I can do about future releases.
Thanks,
Jason

It seems like Bush' DVD inventory must be dwindling. I had 28 titles in my queue the other day, but they only hsipped 2 DVD's because none of the others were available. This is a mixture of releases from `08-09 and some from circa `01. Almost every newer title I have looked for recently has not been added at Bush but is available at X-Rent. Almost every title I look for from the `01 era is not available (Long Wait) or not there at all.
I'd hate to jump ship because service has been good, but lately I have had to really look to find titles that are actually available.

ipop,
Thanks for the feedback.
Long wait means all of our rental copies for that title are broken. When I’ve re-ordered some movies with this status lately I’ve noticed that a few have been discontinued. Send your member info to jason [at] bushdvd.com and I’ll take a look at your queue and see if we can get more copies of the titles on Long Wait.
"I have had to really look to find titles that are actually available"
If you find titles that you are interested in and the status is “Rented” or “Long Wait” go ahead and add them to your queue. If it is “Rented” you shouldn’t be discouraged because we process 6 days a week which increases the chance that title might become available when you are due to be shipped next. The same goes for “Long Wait”. We re-order titles that are on “Long Wait” every month, but with more that 32,000 titles it is not possible to get them all in one shot.
"Almost every newer title I have looked for recently has not been added at Bush"
Which studios or titles are you looking for that we are not adding?

I know for a fact that Jason will add titles they don't have as soon as he can. But I have noticed it takes a quite a long time to get the most recently added dvd's that are popular shipped out. I have waited sometimes up to 2 months for a newer title. I always position the titles I most want to the top of my queue. I'm not sure how many of each title Bush keeps on hand..maybe adding additional copies would solve the problem..I will say, Bush has always been very helpful and professional with any problems or request I have had.

Anyone know if something is going on with Bush DVD lately? I haven't had discs shipped to me in like 7 days, even though they received the last ones I sent back days ago. I've been trying to call them but all I get is a busy signal or endless ringing.

Does anyone know what to do about the charges each month..do we stop payment or something. Not to be inconsiderate, but if I'm not getting shipped, I don't want to pay each month for nothing..

Got this email today.
---
We also want to let you know that on Sunday 12/13/09, the BushDVD offices and warehouse were destroyed by fire. The fire was very large and took until the early hours of Monday to be extinguished. Fortunately, no one was hurt. We did lose a substantial amount of our inventory and the building is a complete loss.
We are working around the clock to get the business up and running to provide you with the outstanding service you've come to expect from us. We estimate that it will take 2-3 weeks to get the operation running smoothly again. We will send you a weekly update to inform you of our progress.
Until then we have to suspend the shipping of rentals. Your account has been placed on hold to ensure you will not lose any rental time on your monthly subscription. We thank you for your many years of continued support and hope that you will stay with us in these difficult and trying times.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email us at customerservice@bushdvd.com.
Sincerely,
The BushDVD Team

Seems like a quick timeline! I wish them all the best, of course!
I didn't get that email either - not even in my spam box - so if you (or someone) could post these future updates that would be greatly appreciated.

We've been working hard since the fire and have made great progress. BushDVD has found new office- and warehouse space. We expect to be moved in and set-up over the next few days. Orders have been placed to replace our lost inventory. We expect to be up and running and back to shipping your DVDs in the first week of January.

I have a question for bushdvd: If I want to rent a Jules Jordan title or other 2-disc, can I include one of the discs in my rental plan? With xrent, JJ titles are not included in the monthly plan. How does it work with bush?
Thanks

You put the two discs for those movies into the queue one at a time. So, yes, you can rent just one of them.
I think XRent lets you rent Jules Jordan after a month.
BTW, Jason, are you hiring? I'm very good at looking at porn. Is that what you do there? Seriously though, I'm sure this isn't how you wanted to spend the holiday season. What a hassle. After it's all set up and running you'll have to share some stories. And pictures too! Anything of the fire? It looked like the time that Arnold's burned down on Happy Days. Such a shame.

I forgot to mention that they ship all the movies 2 at a time in an envelope. That might be worth mentioning.

I'm more interested in the cause of the fire, as acording to Forbes, 90% of all business related fires (non-restaurants) are arson.

Bush DVD seems to be very slow in adding new titles since the fire. Virtually all of my DVD's in my queue show Long wait. Might have to start looking at other options soon. Anyone know if this situation should improve? Or is this just how it is now?

I had inquired some time ago and they indicated that they were adding titles quickly. I was hoping to rejoin but I also see almost no evidence that they are replacing titles lost in the fire. I have been checking on a number of studios like Jules Jordan and Evil Angel. They do not appear to have restocked anything other than returns. It is fairly obvious when only the Disk #1's are restocked that disk 2 was lost in the fire and only the rental return is left.
If they had reordered titles there should be at least some progress in repopulating major studios.

Jules Jordan Video and Evil Angel were two of the first studios we added inventory for. Of the total number of Jules Jordan Video titles available on the site (503) only 28 have a status of long wait. Of the total number of Evil Angel titles available (1269) only 136 have a status of long wait.
Here is a list of some of the studios that have been restocked to date:
Abby Winters
ATK
Black Ice
Black Market
Combat Zone
Devil's Film
Diabolic
Digital Playground
Elegant Angel
Evasive Angles
Evil Angel
Exquisite
Girlfriends Film
JM
Jules Jordan Video
Kick Ass
Marc Dorcel
Naughty America
Pink Visual
Red Light District
Rodney Moore
Score
Sweetheart Video
Third Degree
Triangle Films
WCP
Wicked
Zero Tolerance
and more...
We are adding more copies everyday, but the simple fact is we have almost 34,000 titles and it's going to take a little time. We appreciate your patience while we continue to make more titles available. If you would like to email me (jason at bushdvd.com) I will be happy to take a look at your queue and see what I can do about the long waits.
Sincerely,
Jason

Jason Bush Dvd was GREAT for older harder to find titles..... you guys had many out of prints that are gone now..... is the adult dvd rental business able to buy used and rent those out ? if so what would be your company's interest in doing that to restock those titles ? I am guessing the insurance the company had would replace these titles ? I am extremely good at finding hard to find dvd titles is why I ask ( I even have some web development skills )
On a side note I don't see a Bushdvd blog or forum.... that would be a nice addition to Bushdvd , more so for customer repor. ( If there is one the link is hard to find on the main site ).

We will try and replace all the titles we can, but if some have been discontinued they will be removed from the site.

Theres some good sources for used and out of print is why I asked Jason. for 90s , early 2000 vids used might be the way to go to replace... I bought some older Horizon dvds from one such place they all played fine I think I bought about 25 titles.
