Hi, I am on the 2 DVDs at once plan with BushDVD. Unlike Netflix, BushDVD ships both discs in one envelope. Am I allowed to ship one disc back before the other or do I always need to ship both back at the same time? Because I am on the east coast, this leaves me without any new porn for an extended time!

They only give you one shipper, so you need to ship them together. If I were you, I'd go the 4 out at one time. I use it and I'm also on the East Coast..it seems to be working well.

What would they do if I just mailed one disc back in the mailer and held onto the other one? If they send out another mailer with another single disc in it, I could then return the one I was holding onto in the new mailer. In theory, I would always have a new disc coming in when I finish one.

I think this would work out great if they allow it.

Not sure, pose your question to them. Just go to your queue list and click on the report problem box. I've ask them a couple of questions that way and they always responded within 24 hrs.

They do, in fact, allow it. I hadn't thought to try until someone else mentioned it in another thread. Seems most useful for a 4-or-more-at-a-time plan, since you're least likely to be empty handed that way. But it would have its advantages w/the 2-at-a-time as well.

I'd still prefer that they just ship one-per-mailer like NetFlix, but I have so little else to complain about with BushDVD that I don't make a fuss..

Here's what they replied to us when we posed the question of single returns:

"When we receive a DVD the next one is automatically processed for shipment. We prefer that your return the DVDs in pairs as this reduces breakage and loss."

We have the 4 disk plan and it's working well for us - Xmas has added some USPS delay but that's expected. We have no reason to leave Bush. Their "ratings" are simple votes so don't put too much value there - we read reviews here to see if we like a title. Since we are "couple viewer" it is taking awhile to find what we like and rental is perfect for that. I kinda wish Bush would have a program to just keep and buy the movies we like at a huge discount.

Happy viewing (and New Year)!

We have discussed this very same topic many times. Sometimes there are movies that he or I just love, and would love to buy like we did with Xrent. We were customers of their rental program for a couple of years, and while they were pretty good, Bush had better turnaround time (we're in So. Carolina) and we liked the two movies in one shipment setup. That's the one thing we miss about Xrent though, the ability to buy the DVDs you have rented.
