I'd like to thank everybody who recommended BushDVD.com. I just received my rental DVDs this week. I'm impressed with their service. I got the DVDs fast and in great condition! The envelope the 2 DVDs came in was small enough to easily fit in my small mailbox!
Btw, the return address they put on the envelopes is good for a laugh. I was like, I didn't order anything from "CD Audio Books". Kinda caught me by surprise!
Your welcome! That CD Audio Books is a fairly new “code name” for BushDVD – been using that cover for a few months. Our mail carriers must think we’re listening to dozens and dozens of books a month. We should loudly remark when we get our mail, “Ooooh, the new Tom Clancy is here! Sweet!” or “Oh fabulous, the latest from Nora Roberts! I can’t wait!” and walk back to our houses with our noses pointed skyward.
Is anyone else seeing that wait times at Bush are on the rise? Last week I rejoined Bush and almost all of the dvd's I added had a wait. I'm not complaining or anything, because they have a ton of titles, but when I was a member about a year ago the wait times were far from what I see now. Just curious.
I just switched over from xrent to bushdvd a few weeks ago, and I can already tell the difference. My rentals now have about a 7 day turnaround, where with xrent it was over 10+ days. And all this for a cheaper price!
So far, so good. I also like how they wrap their disks, I have had far less scratched/cracked disks than with xrent.
I've been thinking of joining BushDVD for some time now due to their being one of the best price outlets and being very close to LA... knowing that their privacy is tight pretty much clinches it... I'll probably be joining fairly soon, at least once my new job starts on the 15th
when i first used bush dvd i would receive the first batch of movies in two days because i live in so cal, i signed up again and went four days with no movies hopefully later today i receive them.
I genuinely enjoy paying for the rental service from BushDVD. Shipping times are consistent, customer service is prompt, and the movie selection is fairly wide. And I greatly appreciate the fact that they don't throttle dvd's for the sake of profit. Compared to other rental sites, the monthly fee is cheaper as well. Fucking marvelous!
I love BushDVD but it's too bad their site's look doesn't live up to their service. It just doesn't look very professional. The search on the main page could be revamped. I like the way Adult DVD Empire's site is set up but didn't like their service at all.
What is the availability of titles like at BushDVD? I took a random search and found vast majority of the titles have "short wait" with very few "now".
What does "short wait" usually mean? 1-2 days or more? On the average, how large must my queue be in order to have every slot shipped?

Usually, the more popular titles will be listed as "Short Wait" for only a few days before someone mails a copy back. Most of the titles listed as such only stay that way for only a week or less. Whether or not their availability coincides with your own queue is another question. I'm still waiting for all of The Fashionistas DVDs to become available when I have new rentals coming to me.
The best way to coordinate your rental shipments with "Short Wait" titles is to send your DVDs back on a Wednesday or Thursday, so they will be received on Saturdays or Mondays, when I've found that more titles are available than during the week.
