Many times the difference between crap and quality isn't budget, it's attention to simple details. The opening scene in Buttman's Toy Stories rates high on my "this has got it's shit wired tight" scale. Buttman is prowling around a park near his house at sunrise. Before too long he spies a lovely jogger in form-fitting 'bicycle short' style excerise tights and a nice cropped athletic jacket. This shows off her figure without seeming unnatural or out of place. He even lets her clear frame before cutting, just like a "real" movie! He prowls around a little and finds her doing inverted sit ups on an excerise bar. Again, this lets us get a good look at her body without seeming contrived. He makes his approach. The girl giggle nervously. In her inverted position the camera is able to leer at her cloth covered ass and pussy while still maintaining the illusion she isn't fully aware of how he's filling the frame. Now she's stuck. It's not clear whether she's really stuck, or just playing, but either way it provided sufficiant cover for Buttman to oggle her a little more overtly. She seems embarrassed, but not displeased. Finally Buttman helps her right herself, and invites her back to his place. Now at this point the view might be a little incredulous. Why in the world would this sweet young thing agree to going back to Buttman's place with him? But don't worry, JS has it covered, as we'll see shortly. A little L-cutting and we get to Buttman greeting the jogger as she arrives at his house. He begins to tour her around the house. The "don't you have a pool boy?" scene is classic; this isn't quite what she was expecting. At the send of the scene he offers to show her the rest of the house. Now we're in Buttman's bedroom. It's FIILED with porno videos, which he begins to explain he makes. Given her reaction to the crap in the pool, I'm starting to feel like if she doesn't bolt for the door, the whole set up is starting to strain credibilitly. But wait, she knows about Buttman videos, in fact she likes the ones with Rocco best. In fact, she recognized Buttman back in the park. Now the whole thing makes a little more sense! There's more to this girl than first meets the eye. Buttman invites her to do a scene. She agrees and he offeres her a slinky dress. "You just have this in your closet?" she askes, providing a smooth, well motivated tranistion to when we see her next, wearing the dress. More teasing. Buttman is intrigued to discover he can see her pussy through the the transparency of the dress. "I thought you were wearing underwear?" he askes. "I am," she giggles. The plot thickens as the tease continues. Finally the dress comes off, and we see that she is indeed wearing underwear, but they have a nifty little cutout that her pussy lips squeeze through. With this revelation we see our jogger for her full sexual self. Yes, she looks like the girl next door, but she knows porn well enough to know about Buttman videos, know that she likes Rocco best, and recognize John Stagliano. She's also into our own sexuality enough to wear pussy peek panties when she's out jogging. The entire set up is completely convincing. Every point in the plot makes sense, and it's been convincingly acted. By the end I'm more than ready to buy that she's just the sort of girl who 10 minutes after meeting him would go back to Buttman's place and do a hot anal masturabation scene. And believing that she's that sort of girl makes watching her diddle herself that much more fun. In fact it almost doesn't matter what she does. Simply seeing a convincing portrayal of a sexually uninhibitted and adventurous woman is enough. The specifics of what toy she sticks in what hole are incedental. -T.C. [Link] |

I'm not good at making stuff up on the fly, I kept begging John to let me write down a few good sentences first so I could have some things to fall back on if I didn't know what to say. I totally surprised him with the Rocco line. Saki is very right. That was believable because it was so real. This intro scene would have never been so good if I wasn't so comfortable with John beforehand. |

No jarring deviations from the production or narraitive style to remind me that it's all a contrivance for the sake of my pleasure. And all the details are taken care of by being thoughtful. Taking a minute, or even an hour to think things out is often the best way to crack a problem. With all the details taken care of, there's nothing left for me to do but sit back and enjoy Tricia being Tricia. -T.C. |
