I installed the XP registries (1.24kb ZIP) and my downloads are much faster, though browsing seems sadly unaffected. My average download speed is 3-5x faster and my IE download record went from ~400kb/sec to 758kb/sec at Microsoft Definitely have a look at SpeedGuide if you're on DSL, cable or some other broadband(?). Edit - SpeedGuide now offer an excellent web page loading patch. Using Download Accelerator Plus my new download record is 1,843kb/sec (if only for one second ).
